The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Legacy and Individual Giving Officer to help grow and develop our individual giving and legacy income streams.
You will plan, deliver and evaluate inspiring fundraising activity, build long‑term relationships with supporters, and provide excellent donor stewardship. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how supporters engage with — and feel connected to — the Orpheus Centre.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging individual giving appeals across multiple channels
- Develop and manage regular giving and donor stewardship journeys to increase loyalty and lifetime value
- Lead on all aspects of legacy fundraising, including promoting gifts in wills and administering legacy cases
- Build strong relationships with supporters, case studies and internal stakeholders
- Develop and nurture a mid‑value donor programme, working closely with senior fundraising colleagues
- Create new and innovative channels of giving, including In Memory and Celebration Giving
- Manage individual giving and legacy budgets and track performance
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage data, analyse performance and produce reports
- Ensure Gift Aid claims are accurate and processed in a timely manner
About you
You will be an organised and confident fundraiser with a passion for building relationships and telling compelling stories.
You will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience delivering fundraising or supporter‑focused projects
- Experience of using databases/CRMs and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- An understanding of fundraising regulations, including Gift Aid and GDPR

Job summary:
You will set both strategic direction and deliver hands-on activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, digital platforms, and supporter engagement. You will develop integrated strategies that maximise limited resources, grow sustainable income, amplify our impact and ensure the charity communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
You will lead a small team of fundraisers, marketeers and communicators to deliver to our current organisational plans, whilst developing longer term plans to extend our reach and our income base. - Ensure digital and communication tools, channels, systems and platforms underpin and are able to maximise opportunities for all fundraising, communications, and operational activity.
- Use communication and marketing techniques to amplify the impact of our services and increase our reach, ensuring maximum take up.
- Oversee the charity’s website, ensuring strong user experience, accessibility, SEO performance, and conversion optimisation.
- Oversee production of high-quality, tailored content for digital, print, and social channels.
- Oversee digital supporter acquisition and retention: paid ads, email marketing, marketing automation, and analytics.
5. Campaigns & public engagement
- Lead fundraising, awareness and media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Use data, insights, and analytics to optimise campaign performance and supporter engagement.

- Provide regular performance reports to the CEO and Board, including financial updates, campaign metrics, and risk management.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week. The Media and Communications Manager, reporting into the Head of Communications, is responsible for the creation and delivery of PAGB's external, member and internal communications, overseeing media relations and the PAGB brand.
Overall accountability
- To effectively manage all content on PAGB website and microsites

Key areas of responsibility include:
Website and digital communications
- Managing the PAGB website to ensure it is regularly updated with relevant information and content is optimised for search and user experience
- Proactively managing website on on-going basis to ensure that it is up to date and actively liaising with PAGB teams to gather information to update as needed
- Managing relationships with PAGB’s website developers to ensure ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support are delivered effectively
- Managing relationships with PAGB’s IT suppliers over domain name and security certificate renewals as required
- Managing the Health and Food Supplements Information Service (HSIS) website
- Managing website and communications data analytics and analysis
Marketing communications
- Marketing communications to promote PAGB’s services, events, and training to members and non-members using appropriate channels
- Developing and supporting communications via various media e.g. social media, podcasts and video
- Working with external agencies to deliver engaging videos and graphics to demonstrate PAGB’s impact in key areas
- Managing PAGB’s partnership with the OTC Marketing Awards and other external partners
- Organising, coordinating and/or supporting PAGB events as required
- Development of content to be used in marketing and corporate communications, including but not limited to surveys, reports and market research
- Writing and managing external award nominations for PAGB, projects or individuals
Media relations
- First point of contact for media enquiries about consumer healthcare, over-the-counter medicines and medical devices and self-care
- Media issues management, developing messaging and response statements with the aim of ensuring coverage on the consumer healthcare industry and its products is fair and balanced
- Responding in a timely and compelling way to relevant external developments or media stories to generate proactive coverage which communicates our core messages
- Developing and delivering the media aspects of PAGB campaigns to promote self-care and amplify PAGB policy priorities and key messages
- Building, developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key target media across print, broadcast and online (national, consumer and trade)

Media monitoring
- Responsible for relationship with media monitoring service
- Responsible for identifying trends and flagging any areas of concern
- Identifying opportunities for PAGB experts via ResponseSource
- Regularly reporting on PAGB’s coverage in the media by creating monthly media dashboards and generating statistics
Brand and design
- Responsible for PAGB’s corporate branding, ensuring correct and consistent use
- Maintaining PAGB brand guidelines and document templates
- Using Photoshop and Canva to undertake basic design tasks inhouse
- Managing relationships with external designers and oversee design and production of corporate publications and documents
Internal Communications
- Responsible for creating and generating content for internal staff newsletter

- Contributing to the development and delivery of PAGB’s strategy, plans and activity

Whitley Awards Ceremony
The Whitley Awards are the result of an international search to find, fund, train and put a spotlight on outstanding grassroots leaders and their conservation projects. Finalists are invited to London for a week of training and events, culminating with the Whitley Awards Ceremony, where winners receive their Awards from WFN Patron, HRH The Princess Royal in front of 400 guests and many more tuning in via our livestream.
The Communications Assistant will assist the team in planning and delivery of events during the Whitley Awards Ceremony week, including the Friends Reception, Ceremony and NGO Reception, particularly in the following areas:
Communications
- Assist with supplier liaison across event filming, livestream, and photography
