The IT 1st Line Support Analyst will play a key role in enabling the organisation in fulfilling its goals through providing a best-in-class support service to its employees.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of initial technical support for hardware and software issues and requests, completing system upgrades, onboarding new employees, and maintaining on site AV equipment. In addition, this role will give the opportunity to support a wide range of technologies as well as working on key projects.
As the IT 1st Line Support Analyst has a critical role in supporting the needs of the business, we would be looking for the successful applicant to be in the office 4 days per week.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Provide initial technical support, troubleshoot, escalate.
· Complete initial troubleshooting of all tickets raised with the IT team.
· Document troubleshooting steps and progress and/or call closure details within the ticketing system.
· Appropriately prioritise tickets based on urgency and impact.
· Feedback to wider team on ticket trends or common issues occurring.
· Escalate tickets where appropriate to 2nd Line Support.
· Basic Active Directory administration.
Maintenance and setup of meeting room equipment.
· Complete setup of IT equipment for key meetings.
· Regularly conduct checks of meeting rooms.
· Maintain documentation and “how to” guides on meeting room equipment and setup.
IT inductions and employee onboarding.
· When required, perform IT Induction for new employees.
· Process new starter tickets as per the new starter process.
· Complete setup of new starter hardware, software and user account.
General.
· Assist other members of the IT department in ticket completion and project related tasks.
· Maintain IT hardware and software inventory systems.
· Assist ARUK employees to adhere to IT policies and Security guidelines.
· Fulfil requirements of the Leaver Process.
· Complete desk moves and setup of new desks within head office.
· Maintain printer consumables and stock levels.
· Continuously develop professional knowledge and expertise, to ensure up to date knowledge is relevant to the role.
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Head of IT, in line with the responsibilities of the post.
What we are looking for:
· Relevant experience in an IT related field
· Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Main purpose of post
As the Operations Assistant you will be supporting the Operations Manager in delivering and maintaining an effective operational function at the charity. Including but not exclusively, Health & Safety, Premises, Facilities, Vehicle Management, and IT Services.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
· Act as the first point of contact for premises, facilities, IT and Estates issues across all Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.
· Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a secure and organised premises and facilities, which ensure colleagues, volunteers and visitors are safe and experience a welcoming environment.
· Support the Operations Manager in the successful delivery of the Annual Operations plan.
· Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Operations Working Group.
· Support with updating operational policies and procedures.
· Act as a Charity Data Protection Officer (DPO), alongside the Operations Manager - following relevant training, to promote a strong GDPR culture.
· Assist in the coordination of the charity car maintenance and safety checks, including keeping auditable records.
· Assist in the control and coordination of the use of charity space and assets, including liaising with contractors and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) on relevant matters as required.
· Act as a designated keyholder, responsible for the opening and closing procedure.
Health & Safety
· Serve as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters, including incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
· Provide operational and administrative support on all Health & Safety matters at our sites and external locations (including external events and the Outreach Service, updating COSHH reports)
· Assist in the procurement and delivery of training.
· Help establish and maintain safe working practices and policies and undertake basic risk assessments.
Workwear and equipment
· Act as the first point of contact for workwear and equipment requests; including being responsible for issuing and returning stock, regular stock checks and ordering stock as required.
Tech Support
· Serve as the first point of contact for general IT enquiries
· Consult with IT consultants to ensure adherence to processes
· Work with the Operations Manager to implement processes that maintain the IT security score.
· Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including software licenses, logins, and induction training
General Administrative Support & Development
· Handle general enquiries from staff, patients, and volunteers efficiently.
· Manage the operations team telephone, email, and postal enquiries.
· Assist the Operations Manager with the procurement of stationery and consumables.
· Assist the wider team with ad hoc work and undertake small projects that support the charity's work. e.g. Events, Logistical and Tech Support.
Environmental Advocate
· Work with the Operations Manager to promote environmental awareness and encourage the charity adopts a green approach (e.g., recycling, energy use, carbon footprint)
· Identify and implement actions to reduce environmental impacts, costs, and/or increase income under the direction of the Operations Manager.

The postholder will be expected to take an active role in contributing towards the development and implementation of Big Purple Bus support services, have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a wider team, adhering to excellence in service delivery and customer service.

What you do:
Delivery of Information and Support to people living with and beyond cancer and their families.
The post holder will:
• Act as first point of contact on the Big Purple Bus for any requests for information and support from the public or professionals (drop-in, appointment, phone, email), triaging more complex requests appropriately.

• Support users sensitively to help them understand basic clinical information they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant people.
• Provide basic supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of cancer, cancer screening, healthy living, the impact of cancer, in the most appropriate format (e.g. written, verbal, and others as appropriate to overcome any barriers to communication).
• Provide information on topics such as e.g. benefits, travel insurance, and facilitate access to services e.g. specialist benefits advice, complementary therapy.
• Liaise with relevant staff at all levels as appropriate both within the charity and externally to address issues identified, and seek advice with more complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Cancer Information and Support Advisor or Senior Advisor; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships with partner organisations in primary and secondary and voluntary the sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups.
• Deliver awareness raising activity to promote the service.
Operational delivery
The post holder will:
• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with the service users in person and produce reports of activity as required.
• Contribute to events and displays externally liaising with departments and agencies as required.
• Provide general administrative support to the Health Care Professionals and Outreach Service Manager [FM1] [PM2]
• Work flexibly in order to deliver the objectives of the cancer support service, including attending events and outreach sessions across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw.
• Assist in the development of leaflets, posters and other materials, e.g. To publicise the service, recruit volunteers, support cancer awareness and other events.
• Facilitate open and effective communication with multi-professional teams, both internally and externally.
Management & Leadership
The post holder will:
• Seek advice and support from senior colleagues on clinical matters.
• Adhere to policies and protocols relevant to the post, contributing to their updating and development as appropriate.

As a Relationship Fundraising Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Relationship Fundraising Team to achieve our fundraising goals and objectives. As a Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of new and existing fundraising volunteering programmes, with a view to increasing levels of participation and enhancing volunteer’s experiences through sector-leading volunteer stewardship.
