To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to Beat Macular Disease forever.
Our Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising leads a small, dedicated and highly-skilled team. Working with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing, the role is responsible for building and developing our vital legacy and in memory programme. The role includes the development of innovative and engaging marketing strategies - including recruitment and stewardship across legacies and in memory - investigating new audiences and channels and requires excellent budgetary management including detailed income forecasting.

About You:
You will have experience of training and presenting as well as supporting Face to Face campaigns ideally within a third sector fundraising role. Key to this role will be the ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
Additionally, you’ll be able to run analysis and have experience using Dynamics 365, Raisers Edge or a similar database.
About The Role
- Provide continual training and compliance monitoring support to our Face to Face partners in the execution of all door, private Sites and events fundraising, this includes leading on developing new opportunities in conjunction with St John events.
- Oversee and collaboratively work with our Telephone Fundraising partners on their training and compliance of all deliverables such as welcome calls, upgrades, reactivations and other fundraising campaigns – includes caller listening
- Oversee regular audits of agents, to monitor against key auditory compliance and performance metrics.
- Manage relationships with our Face to Face partners with training, development and materials, and performance reviews. Monitoring various forms or training and reviewing inductions in line with our agreed contract.
- Build a strong knowledge of all areas of St John Ambulance’s work, carrying out continual research and gathering information, case studies and photos for use in training booklets, scripts and materials. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters.

Through the partnership of Macmillan Cancer Support, Self Help UK and the Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, the Macmillan Beyond Dagnosis service delivers support for people affected by cancer, as well as facilitated access to voluntary and community sector cancer specific support and wellbeing interventions across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.
Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.
Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Director to join the Executive Team and to be responsible for all aspects of aviation and other, non-clinical, operational activities. Also, as part of EHAAT’s strategic plan to gain its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in late 2025, the Aviation Director will form and lead the new AOC team supported by our experienced AOC transition Programme Manager. Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.
Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.
They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.
Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.
Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives…we can’t fly without you!

As our Income Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the income processing tasks for the Income team and oversee processing for Gift Aid Claims. You will proactively process claims with integrity, consistency, and accuracy, in compliance with HMRC regulations, ultimately maximising our income from supporters.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve daily and weekly scheduling of income processing tasks, addressing complex queries while providing an excellent supporter care service, and managing Gift Aid claims efficiently.
You'll also be instrumental in providing training to others on the claims process, spotting any discrepancies, and collaborating with other fundraising teams to optimise Gift Aid claims.
In addition to your Gift Aid responsibilities, you'll process income and data onto our database, maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency. All income will be added and coded with accuracy and consistency.
To excel in this role, you'll need to adhere to data protection regulations, HMRC guidelines, and internal compliance policies rigorously. You'll also be an integral part of our Supporter Care team, fostering cross-team collaboration and contributing actively to working groups.

What are we looking for?

The Role
The role of Shop Manager involves actively running our new shop in Hull and implementing processes and ways of working.
As our Shop Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop including managing a Deputy Shop Manager and team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures.
Specifically, you will:

Manage and be accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

Be responsible for ensuring the shop is presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays.

Be responsible for attracting and recruiting a team of new volunteers, ensuring they are well trained and take every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment.

Be responsible for ongoing volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date.

Be responsible for ensuring the team are working towards achieving all key performance indicators.

Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.

About You

We are seeking an experienced individual to support the Corporate Partnerships Manager in ensuring the maximum potential income is generated from the corporate sector by reviewing, implementing, and maintaining a Corporate strategy.
The successful candidate will use the Donorflex CRM System to ensure a smooth supporter journey, will capitalise on existing supporters and work with the wider income generation team to identify new opportunities for corporate support and strategic business partnerships.
