About the role:

At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, the Gray's Inn Road project offers short-stay accommodation for 16 individuals experiencing some of the most challenging periods in their lives. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service plays a pivotal role in ensuring rough sleeping in Camden is not only rare but brief and not repeated. Residents typically stay between three to six months, during which time the focus is on creating pathways into safe, sustainable housing and renewed independence.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed support. You’ll work closely with clients facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and histories with the criminal justice system. With your own caseload, you’ll conduct in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and facilitate interventions that reflect the needs, strengths and aspirations of each person. Every day brings new opportunities to connect people with education, training or employment, to help them rebuild practical life skills, and to foster progress towards long-term goals.

Role description:

We are seeking a technically excellent management accountant to play a central role in the finance team at this young and vibrant charity, preparing monthly management information to aid business decisions, and undertaking project work as requested.

Main Responsibilities:

Management Accounts preparation

• Account for accrued income and expenditure, including:

           - Accrued legacy income

           - Accrued trust income

          - Other accrued income

The Nuffield Foundation is recruiting an Executive Assistant to work closely with, and support, our Chief Executive, Leadership Team, Trustees and members of our governance committees.

The Executive Assistant will work at the intersection of strategic leadership and effective operational administration, working as a lynchpin within the organisation to provide high level administrative and operational support to the Nuffield Foundation’s Leadership Team (LT) and Chief Executive. They will be a trusted partner responsible for delivering high-level strategic, operational, and administrative support to the CEO and LT.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Beacon is now in its second decade and has grown substantially over the last three years, including a rebrand and expansion into international projects. To support this growth, we are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and intuitive Admin & Operations Officer to help ensure the smooth running of our daily activities and core functions.

This varied role spans many aspects of our work, from administration and resource management to supporting the systems and tools that keep Beacon working efficiently. You’ll work across the charity, supporting our executive leadership, projects teams, and fundraising activities, as well as and ensuring colleagues have the information and resources they need to deliver for our beneficiaries.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the charity and in supporting senior staff. As you settle into the role, you’ll have opportunities to develop skills in areas such as financial management, executive support, relationship management, stewardship, or project logistics, depending on your interests and the charity’s needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage of their career, with full training and support provided. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Organisational administration

• Lead on day-to-day operational processes to ensure the efficient running of the organisation.
• Provide executive support to the CEO and COO, including diary coordination, scheduling, and meeting logistics.
• Oversee internal financial processes, including processing expenses and invoices, documenting charity income and outgoings, ensuring accurate record keeping, and liaising with our external accounting team.

N.B. The fundraising aspect of this role is focused on providing administrative and logistical support. This is not a fundraising position, and applicants are not expected to be responsible for income generation.

• Monitor and respond to incoming enquiries via phone, email, and the Contact Us form, ensuring timely and professional communication.

At present they are looking to appoint an interim Finance Manager to provide maternity cover for the current post holder. Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties will include:

• Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements, liaising with the government parent and NAO as necessary.
• Oversight of the efficient and effective delivery of the transactional accounting function, ensuring all appropriate deadlines are met.
• Assist the Financial Controller with the ongoing review and updating of internal financial controls to ensure best practice throughout.
• Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasting.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified with a strong background in technical accounting. Although an understanding of public sector finance is advantageous, my client is open to candidates from all industries. However, a hands-on nature with a strong attention to detail is essential. Working in a small but successful team, an engaging, can-do attitude is also required.

This role is being offered on a 1-year fixed term contract, with a minimum requirement for 6 days a month in the office.

This is a critical role that will develop and grow a high-performing Legacy Giving programme at The Hospice of St Francis.

You will personally identify, cultivate and steward legacy pledgers through an inspiring engagement programme that both raises awareness of legacies, encourages new pledgers and shows the impact they have on the Hospice’s services.

With a solid understanding of the administration of wills, you will liaise with executors and professional advisors and advise colleagues and the Board on best practice legacy administration.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Giving specialist to curate a new legacy programme, building on previous work, to grow income for the future.

The must haves:

• Fundraising Success: At least five years’ experience of delivering a Legacy Giving programme with success in driving acquisition and relationship management
• Technical expertise: Practical understanding of the practical implications of legal and financial aspects of wills
• Driving awareness and engagement: Experience of developing and executing legacy awareness initiatives internally and externally
• Systems and processes: using client relationship management systems, tracking KPIs and managing projects
• Proven expertise in relationship building internally and externally

• Experience working with professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants and wealth managers

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive International Programmes Manager to support the Head of Programmes in delivering and growing our international operations.
