Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing regional Hospice, with Head Office based in Surrey area.
- This role can be either Full-Time (37.5 hours a week) or Part-Time (30 hours a week).
- Hybrid working pattern, with a min of 3 days office based for Full-Time hours.
- Salary; Full-Time - £35,000 per annum. Part-Time - £28,000 per annum.

As the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, you will work with the Community and Events Lead, and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the community and events fundraising plans and activities. You will managing a varied portfolio of events, including third party, challenges and bespoke. Along with engaging with the community to develop and implement plans for maximising income and support from individuals, groups and businesses.
Key Responsibilities for ensuring the delivery of community and events fundraising plans and activities:
- Manage, achieve and where possible exceed Community and Events income targets, taking a lead for specific projects, activities and events.
- Support the Community and Events Lead, contributing to the development of annual plans and budgets.
- Project manage challenge events (e.g. London Marathon, bike rides, skydives etc.), liaise with third-party organisers, participant recruitment and participant support.
- Work with other teams across Fundraising and MarComms to market and promote fundraising products, activities and events.
- Organise events, including liaison with venues, suppliers, monitoring expenditure, volunteers and participants and ensure all preparation is complete.
- Ensure an excellent level of supporter care and stewardship with supporters is maintained and developed.
- Provide regular reports and information about activities, supporters and volunteers.
- Line management of a Community and Events Fundraising Assistant.
To be successful in this Senior Community and Events Fundraiser role, you will have gained skills and experiences in the following areas;
- Previous experience working in fundraising in either a community, challenge or mass participant event capacity.
- Experience of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individual fundraisers/supporters and/or, managing fundraising events.
- Experience of working to budgets, targets and plans.
- Previous experience of managing staff and/or volunteers.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations.

We are looking for a Youth Engagement Officer to become an integral part of the Meningitis Now Communications and Fundraising team.
Young people are a key audience for Meningitis Now – and one where cases of meningitis are increasing. This role will be key in engaging with and raising awareness amongst young people across the UK. You will be responsible for developing content for our new TikTok channel, as well as moderating and finding ways to grow our audience. Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. The role
The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. A key part of the role is supporting the fundraising campaigns by helping to draft relevant copy for email campaigns and calls-to-action on social media.
The charity has a small team, so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks. The post holder will coordinate and provide information-based sexual health outreach services, testing and brief HIV prevention interventions in commercial venues and at events across London. Interventions will predominantly target people who may be at higher risk of HIV and STI acquisition, particularly amongst higher prevalence communities such as Gay, Bisexual and Men who have Sex with Men (GBMSM), Black African and Trans communities. This role will involve working within sex on premises venues frequented by GBMSM and would therefore be best suited to someone from that community. This position is only open to applicants who identify as male (Equality act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1) as the role will involve working in male only venues.
Programme
The post holder will be a member of the GMI Partnership team, based at METRO, working closely with their counterparts at other GMI partner agencies (Positive East and Spectra). The partnership is the main provider of the London HIV Prevention Programme, a sexual health and HIV testing outreach programme for GBMSM, across the capital. The post holder will be responsible for liaising directly with other contract partners and being a main point of contact for various outreach venue providers. The worker will form part of the METRO HIV Domain and will support the overall HIV prevention services provided by the charity.

4. Testing to improve results continually
· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

5. Digital project management
· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.
6. Campaign support
· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.
7. Gathering community feedback
· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.
8. Supplier collaboration
