About the role

The Director of Engagement (DoE) role has a pivotal role to play in the future of Church Army. Working closely with the CEO as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the DoE will lead the fundraising and communications strategy and provide oversight to the Engagement Team.

Given this period of change, the role needs someone with a good degree of agility, flexibility, and resilience. The right candidate will be more of a leader than a manager – but with the ability to do both – with an ability to operate in a faith based sector. Both humility and courage are essential characteristics.

We are seeking a strategic leader, with a track record of success in income generation, who can lead and develop a high-performing team and drive change through vital season.

We’re also part-funded by the Scottish Funding Council to provide specific developmental support for College Students’ Associations across Scotland. The Role 
 
As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Skipton, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the day to day running of the shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term.

This role is based at our office in Sheffield, dealing with inbound enquiries and making outbound calls to victims of crime, reviewing and triaging referrals from the police.

Your Day-to-Day

As Service Manager, you’ll:
• Establish and embed the Advice Triage (OFD) model for public launch in March 2026
• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team including triage workers, referrals staff, and reception
• Develop triage protocols, safeguarding and referral procedures, and escalation frameworks
• Oversee inbound query management across all contact channels
• Coordinate internal and external referral pathways across Norwood and key partners
• Manage the design and population of an online service directory
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with schools, synagogues, charities and LA/NHS services
• Work with communication and engagement teams to promote the service
• Oversee the development and rollout of a CRM system
• Lead service evaluation, report to SLT and funders, and embed co-production in service design

Qualifications, Training and Experience

Essential:

• Relevant degree in Social Work, Health, Education, or Management; And/or Leadership or project management qualification
• 3+ years’ experience in social care, education, or advice services
• Proven ability to lead services, manage teams, and deliver change
• Strong knowledge of referral systems across the voluntary and statutory sectors
• Sound safeguarding knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder, communication and CRM skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Jewish community and culturally specific services
• Experience setting up a helpline, triage service or call centre
• Familiarity with neurodivergent support needs and transitions
• Experience developing service directories or digital tools

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to play a vital role in ensuring CCP's expanding Independent Living Support Services for young people leaving care in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas meet all staffing, contractual, legal and audit requirements providing the highest quality of support in line with Ofsted Standards. You'll be based mainly at our Cheltenham headquarters, working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover if needed. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a capable, collaborative and motivated solicitor to join our exceptional casework team on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave. You’ll be working at the cutting edge of public law in the UK, supporting our award-winning team of solicitors in work that brings about real change.

Join PLP and you’ll be playing a key role in the team that brought the main challenge to the Safety of Rwanda Act, intervened in the challenge to the prorogation of Parliament, helped survivors whose assets are controlled by their abuser to access legal aid, and put a stop to the no-notice removal policy affecting people claiming asylum.

You’ll be supervised by our Legal Director and have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the whole team. The PLP team is friendly, diverse, and inclusive, and you’ll be supported and encouraged to develop your skills as a solicitor.

Your caseload will be a range of strategic public law cases which align with our strategy.
