Pool Worker

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, you will manage a caseload of service users with complex health and support needs, helping them maintain their wellbeing, independence, and achieve personal goals. You will provide day-to-day care and support in line with individual care plans, assist with educational, leisure, and health-related activities, and contribute to the planning and review of support plans. Responsibilities include supporting medication administration, monitoring health, safety, and wellbeing, reporting concerns promptly, carrying out domestic tasks where required, liaising with partner agencies and carers, and supporting high-quality housing management services in compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
You will need a strong understanding of mental health, including the signs, symptoms, and treatments of common conditions, and the ability to recognise deteriorating mental health and take appropriate action. You will be committed to promoting independence by motivating service users to achieve their goals and participate fully in daily activities. Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills are essential, including experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and electronic support planning systems. You should have knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity principles, alongside a willingness to provide personal care, support domestic tasks, travel between services, and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
