If successful you will be based at “The ARC Youth Club”, an estate based youth led centre with integrated music studio, kitchen, games and "chill-out" space. The ARC engages approximately 250 young people per year and plays a vital role in their welfare and development outside of school. In holidays we offer a full program of activities and free meals for young people who may otherwise miss out.
You will deliver a range of activities e.g. cooking, arts & crafts, sports, trips, music, events etc. You will also offer support and guidance for local young people and enable them to develop life long skills while designing and running their own projects, forums etc.
Duties Include:
Promoting and delivering activities for young people aged 9-19 yrs (up to 25 for young people with SEND)
Engaging with a range of young people from diverse backgrounds and with multiple needs
Ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained and other policies and procedures are upheld
Working in partnership with other organisations to meet local needs
Acting as an effective part of youth team and wider SHAK team

Skills & Experience
- Minimum Level 3 youth work qualification or equivalent and significant, relevant experience of youth service delivery.

About you

The Enquiries Team is an established 2-way channel that responds to enquiries arriving through multiple channels from CSP members, stakeholders, and the public. Additionally, we proactively reach out to members with various campaigns throughout the year, each with distinct objectives and aims.
About the role
The enquiries we receive are diverse, and multitasking is essential as you'll be expected to handle calls and respond to email enquiries concurrently. Comprehensive support will be provided to help you learn all about the organisation so that you can deliver the best experience to our members. Persuasive communication skills are a must, along with proven adaptability and a quick learning ability.
This role involves constant use of data input and extraction skills, often whilst dealing with enquiries. Therefore, advanced data input skills and a calm professional manner are vital.

Essential Criteria

- Exceptional Project Management Skills: Proven ability to excel in managing multifaceted tasks within challenging timelines. Prioritization prowess is key, consistently meeting deadlines amidst competing demands.
- Donor Relationship Management: Extensive experience cultivating and sustaining relations with institutional donors such as DFID/FCDO, EU/ECHO, and UN bodies. This is a newly created administrative role to increase capacity in Londonwide LMCs, the membership organisation representing approximately 7,000 NHS General Practitioners in over 1,100 practice teams in London, providing pan-London leadership and shared committee services for its members. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Workforce-Training and Innovation team, which provides project management across the organisation and training for constituents across the 27 Londonwide Boroughs that make up Londonwide LMCs. The team also coordinates a range of supportive services for practices that are delivered through managed relationships with associates.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Workforce-Training and Innovation and work within the WTI team, playing an integral part in linking our work across the directorates at Londonwide LMCs and externally with our practices and constituents.
The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to the Workforce-Training and Innovation team, enabling the smooth running of projects, scheduling meetings and supporting events. It would be helpful if candidates have excellent administration and note-taking skills. We would like to hear from candidates who have experience in:
- Owning the administrative tasks required to enable smooth team operations.
- Attending team meetings and other project meetings, providing administrative support, and ensuring an accurate record of the meeting and actions is made.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent post, but applicants seeking part-time/job-share roles are welcome.
As an organisation, we work flexibly, and regular home working is supported. The post is contractually based at our offices located in central London near Euston, where we host quarterly connect days for all staff. Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. More than anything you will need to champion what young people can achieve, be committed to collaborating with others and determined to find a way.
