To help achieve our mission, Crisis is looking for a Data Insight Analyst to join the Data, Digital and Technology team. We are embarking on a project to change our CRM to Microsoft Dynamics and to move our Database onto Azure. To account for this changing infrastructure, the Insight team will work on updating our suite of reports, largely based in Power BI. 

Contract: 12 Month fixed term contract, maternity cover

Location: London office (you will be required to work from the London office once a week or twice a fortnight in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy) 

About the role 

As a Data Insight Analyst, you will assist in updating and creating PowerBI dashboards and apps. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to gather requirements and develop reports that enable accessible monitoring of key metrics. As our current suite of dashboards need to be reworked, this role offers a good opportunity to shape a data visualisation project from start to finish, helping Crisis make evidence-based decisions in our pursuit to end homelessness.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, particularly when it comes to conveying complex, quantitative information to a non-technical audience. You will be able to identify requirements and deliver synthesised findings in an accessible and engaging manner. Additionally, you will have technical experience in PowerBI and SQL, from querying relational databases to building impactful visualisations. 

You may also have experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure SQL Database, website analytics, product analytics, customer analysis, digital analytics, Jira, data science, Tableau, Python/R or excel.

About the role 

As a Coach in the Structured Coaching Team, you will be the lead worker for people who engage well with the service and are able to work with you to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness. You will work collaboratively across departments to support Crisis' mission to end homelessness by delivering services that are person-centred, sensitive and responsive to the diverse needs of Crisis Members. You will understand and promote the importance of evidencing our impact in preventing and ending homelessness. Also evidencing the barriers faced by members to directly inform our Policy and Campaigns strategies, using the Crisis Member Achievement and Progression System (MAPS) and case management standards. 

About you 

You will as part of the Crisis team, make and maintain collaborative, consistent relationships with our members, staff, volunteers and other organisations.

You will have: 

• Exceptional knowledge of relevant sector, e.g., housing, homelessness, and welfare legislation.

• An understanding of psychologically informed approaches when working with people who have experienced complex trauma and marginalised individuals. 

• Effectively manage your own workload, including a varied caseload, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities, exercise judgment under pressure and balance competing demands.

• An understanding of the importance of protecting an individual’s personal and sensitive data when working with someone’s information.

• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written, including the ability to promote Crisis’ services to a wide variety of audiences.

• Knowledge and experience of safeguarding and commitment to act in compliance with safeguarding policy and procedures.

Roma Outreach Worker (Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract)

This role will require the person to work early mornings and late nights in order to conduct outreach shifts in the Borough.

The Role

The purpose of the Roma Outreach Worker role is to deliver an effective service to single people who are currently rough sleeping. This post will actively support Roma clients, providing a continued and consistent point of contact whilst assisting them in navigating the various change pathways available to them.

- Able to speak Romani or Romanian fluently or to a high level.
- Full and clean UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of the Roma communities.
- Experience of working within the homelessness or social care sector.
- Have a creative, solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data management.
- Knowledge of current drug and alcohol provision and relevant services, pathways and conditions.

Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST) Peer Mentor Advert

About the Peer Mentor Service

Shelter is delivering a Peer Mentor Service in partnership with the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST) within Birmingham and Solihull’s Mental Health Foundation Trust. The FIRST service is a comprehensive recovery focussed multi-disciplinary team addressing the individual needs of our service users through tailored packages of care. It includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Peer Mentors, Substance Use workers and Social Workers. Each service user will have an allocated Care Coordinator and Responsible Clinician who monitor, and review care and support needs and interventions.

The Peer Mentor role will engage with clients on the ward and within the community - with a primary focus on supporting clients with their transition away from staying on the ward to living in the community. The Peer Mentor service’s aim is to help people with multiple and complex needs to enhance the support available through the FIRST Pathway.

About the role

As a Peer Mentor, you'll support people with mental health concerns who are looking to create sustainable lives in the community by improving engagement with services with a view to sustaining wellbeing and reducing reoffending. Your own experiences will be invaluable as you engage with and motivate individuals to set goals around their recovery. This will include building a relationship of trust with individuals and understanding the importance of empowering them to make their own choices. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to access personal support to develop new skills and improve your self-confidence to do the job.

About you

We’re looking for people who have had mental health issues, are ex-offenders or who have been through the criminal justice system. Lived Experience of homelessness and substance use is useful but not essential. You’ll need to have accessed support services, have an understanding of how these experiences have affected you and be able to tap into these experiences to identify gaps in services and barriers to recovery and how things can be improved. You’ll need to have been stable for at least 18 months and be willing to share details of your successful journey with others to help them. You will be looking to go into a career supporting vulnerable adults and this will be a great opportunity to gain experience. Basic computer skills will be needed, as well as the interest to develop and learn new skills.

The role - Community Centre Assistant

As a Community Centre Assistant, you will;

• Provide operational support to the day to day running of the community centre, including health and safety and customer support.
• You will provide a professional inclusive and customer focused service to the users of the community centre.
• Ensure centres are set up correctly in advance of bookings.
• Make sure the centre is clean and well-presented.
• Ensure hirers clear away at the end of a booking and leave the room ready for next user.
• Where relevant maintain schedules and records of building maintenance, reporting maintenance or repairs issues to the relevant team.
• Carry out health and safety checks and maintain appropriate records.
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the building when directed including evenings and weekends as required.

The Role
