We are looking for an experienced Housing Advisor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is passionate about enabling people to overcome homelessness and poverty. You will have gained a minimum of two years’ experience of housing advice and casework through paid or other voluntary experience. A legal qualification would be an advantage.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive team of experienced housing advisors and welfare rights specialists. You will use your in-depth knowledge and experience of providing specialist housing advice to provide a structured information, advice and casework service to clients of the centre in housing law, housing options and aspects of welfare benefits that relate to housing and homelessness. You will manage your own caseload and provide advice, support and training to staff who are not specialists in this area to enable them to assist clients with less complex enquiries.
You will be able to draw on the support offered by colleagues from the Centre’s other teams (Assessment and Advice, Immigration, Employment and Learning, Family Services and Supported Accommodation) to ensure that your clients have access to the help need not only to deal with their immediate housing problem, but also to tackle any underlying issues and to build resilience against similar issues arising again.

No Second Night Out provides a rapid response to rough sleeping. We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team at the Great Guildford Street Staging Post (GGS).
GGS is a pan-London service based at a 52 bed site in Southwark supporting clients with a range of support needs. Taking referrals from the NSNO Assessment Hubs, the team undertake high quality Assessment and Reconnection work to support new rough sleepers to move on to suitable accommodation within a target of 56 days. This role will best suit someone who can adapt to a fast paced environment while contributing to and drawing strength from a supportive team of experienced colleagues.
In the pivotal role of Deputy Manager you will work flexibly to support clients where they need us the most:
- Working closely with the service manager to ensure the effective day to day running of the service.
- Managing the production and maintenance of a busy rota ensuring 24/7 cover of the service
- Providing supportive supervision and line management to Assessment and Reconnection Workers, and other team members including night workers and hub assistants
- Providing guidance on complex cases and leading on escalating where there are external challenges
- Building and maintaining strong relationships, and work in partnership with local authorities, accommodation services and other relevant agencies to ensure clients move on from the service into the appropriate accommodation with the correct support in place.
- Working flexibly to support the rough sleeping service, and our clients when they need us the most.
About you
We are looking for proactive and creative individuals with:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and supporting a service delivery team.
- The ability to negotiate with a wide range of internal and external partners and build positive relationships.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload to meet a number of different and competing tasks in a sometimes pressurised environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the housing and support needs of rough sleepers.
- Above all we are looking for passionate people who are committed to the overall aims and objectives of the Rough Sleeping services.

Are you passionate about building a high performing team to support clients experiencing homelessness?
This is a t fixed term opportunity until 31/03/25
The StreetLink London service, is a team of x7 Assessment workers, a Coordinator, a Service Manager and a pool of dedicated volunteers. The service is funded by the GLA, Bloomberg and London Councils, and is service which offers support directly to people at risk of or rough sleeping in London. The service provides targeted telephone advice, advocacy and support to help prevent and resolve people’s rough sleeping. The service does so by finding solutions to connect people to vital services that can help resolve their homelessness.
The role of Service Manager will be to oversee the delivery and development of StreetLink London. In this role, you will oversee the day to day management of the London Support phoneline. You will be responsible for building the team and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and improve the StreetLink London Service.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience of leading a service delivery team; delivering best practice and high-quality support or advice services to vulnerable clients as well as an understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people. Above all, we are looking for a motivated leader, who will be dedicated to the successful development and delivery of this essential service.
