Ensuring the safety of their customers in their homes is a key priority for our client. As their Asset & Compliance Administration Manager your focus will be leading the team in a concise and structured fashion to ensure that processes and interactions aid the delivery of Customer Safety and planned maintenance. Your role will undertake a proactive approach to zero tolerance on Customer Safety and you'll ensure all aspects of customer safety / compliance are maintained, while supporting the delivery and completion of planned maintenance programmes. It's an exciting time to join them as changes in legislation mean that you'll be actively involved in improving their processes to achieve the best results.
What skills/behaviours do you need to be an Asset & Compliance Administration Manager?
- Excellent understanding of Customer Safety regimes in electrical, gas, water hygiene, asbestos and mechanical/electrical and a clear understanding of cyclical regimes and remedial actions
- Presenting accurate information, clearly and concisely in reports or dashboards
- Ability to analyse performance information and pinpoint threats to Customer Service and financial performance
- Experience of leading a team towards achieving 100% Customer Safety, contract management, performance and budget management objectives
- Knowledge of finance and housing management systems
Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to Bradford City Centre. They’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as they meet their customer’s needs.
They’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Should you wish to work occasionally from any of their regional offices, you may do so on a hot desk basis which will need to be arranged via their online booking system.
Salary
The spot salary for this post is £44,559 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

The service supports up to 18 female rough sleepers referred to service by local authorities, street outreach services and StreetLink.
Candidate duties:
- Line managing a staff team of up to 8 staff including both day and night support workers in a service with a total of 18 clients
- Conducting staff supervisions, appraisals and performance management

This is a key role in our client's Operations team conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments. In the role you will work with your Area Manager as a key business partner who plans and implements to optimise organisational performance in Health, Safety & Compliance.
You will lead their small five-person in-house Building Safety / Maintenace team including three mobile maintenance operatives who provide reactive maintenance work and decorating etc over our eight hostels and some small satellite locations. You will work with your team, their service managers and their contractors/suppliers to ensure customers' needs are met and they provide safe welcoming homes for them.
This is a hands-on operational Health & Safety management role where they need your expertise and experience to ensure the team meets or exceeds quality standards and regulatory requirements whilst at the same time ensuring the operational safety and fire safety of all sites and associated buildings.

About The Team
Shelter’s Legal Team provide legal expertise and representation across our Services. You will be part of our National Legal Team and will work closely with our Telephone and Online Advice Service (TOAS) to identify trends in issues experienced by people using the service.
About the role
Your role will be to work within the National Legal Team to support the TOAS team to recognise vulnerable clients who need urgent legal help, at the sharpest end of the housing crisis, struggling to advocate for themselves in appalling housing conditions or stuck in temporary accommodation.
Your role will be to provide legal early intervention to clients and families who have safeguarding concerns.
You will act on a consultancy basis for TOAS and provide advice and legal representation on behalf of the client and/or their family, authorising and arranging temporary accommodation and any associated hardship claims. Should a safeguarding referral be made, you will follow up on those referrals to ensure that the appropriate outcome is achieved.
You will also be supported to work with relevant stakeholders to address systemic matters that contribute to homelessness and advocate for systematic change to break the cycle for other vulnerable clients and their families.
About You
Qualified as a Solicitor, you will have a strong knowledge of housing law and be used to managing your caseload including time recording. You will need to meet the Housing/Debt Supervisor standard and have demonstrable experience in litigation and court advocacy, carry out file reviews and be proactive about your professional development and continuous improvement.

C4WS Welfare Coordinator Advert 2024:
C4WS Homeless Project (registered charity, no 1189622) which provides support to people experiencing homelessness year-round, through a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, mentoring scheme, hosting scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently.
What We Do:
Every winter, we work with a number of churches in the London Borough of Camden who offer their venues to us to run a night shelter. We operate from a different venue every night of the week, and run one circuit, accommodating 16 guests.
We provide camp beds and offer a hot evening meal. Our guests leave in the morning after a hot breakfast, ready to attend activities and meetings in our offices in Euston.
Advice and Support
Whilst the shelter operates seasonally, every winter, our team works year round, dedicated to offering advice, advocacy and practical support. This can be accessed by former night shelter guests, and via our weekly drop in, Friday Club. Guests can also access other services provided by C4WS including lunch, laundry and showers.
The Role:
Our small, dedicated team is looking for a Welfare Coordinator, to deliver holistic welfare support to all those who access our services. You will work alongside another member of the team to ensure that guests are supported both during and after their stay in the C4WS night shelter to ensure the stability of their move on.
You will possess a passion for working in the homeless sector, supporting those experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and ideally have direct and relevant experience of working with this demographic, or similarly vulnerable and/or disadvantaged groups.
As well as providing Welfare Support, you will also be a presence at the shelter for up to two evenings a week during the shelter season (November – March) including weekends, and you will need to lead a team of volunteers to ensure the safe running of the shelter on those occasions.
C4WS is a small charity, that delivers an outstanding service to those who access our support. It is thanks to a wide network of referral partners, corporate and individual volunteers, plus the support of several religious communities in Camden, who we have worked with over the last 20 years, that we can have such a positive impact on a person’s life.
