Provide reception and general office support for our busy team
- Be the first point of contact for members of the public contacting Glass Door, answering the phones and logging all calls; dealing with incoming enquiries by telephone, email, website feedback or voicemail; passing on queries to colleagues as appropriate.
- Manage enquiries from guests and either responding to these or referring them to caseworkers as appropriate.
- Be responsible for day-to-day management of the office by dealing with incoming and outgoing mail (including franking and delivery to the post office).
- Manage the meeting rooms and meeting room calendars.
- Monitor office equipment to ensure functionality and report any breakages or repairs needed (including IT) and re-ordering office supplies, etc.
- Be responsible for monitoring parking in front of the office and ensuring management and safe storage of keys for the charity’s motor vehicles.
- Assist the Office Manager with organising volunteer help for appropriate office tasks.
- Keep our offices organised and tidy (including storage of office materials, tea and coffee etc.).
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Office Manager.
- Provide ad hoc support to the casework team e.g. keep in touch.
Support our Fundraising, Communications and Volunteering functions
- Help to process deliveries of physical donations; scan cheques and ensure cash donations are recorded, secured in the safe and the Fundraising and Communications (FRC) team are notified.
- Provide ad hoc support to the FRC team such as ordering stationery / supplies, sorting equipment / doing stock checks and assisting with mass mail outs.

Nacro is launching CAS-2, a national service commissioned by Ministry of Justice to provide accommodation and support as an alternative to custody. We are looking for a number of Senior Support Workers to join us at an exciting time of change.
Who are we looking for?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of service users by co-ordinating the provision of direct housing related support and housing management services. This will be achieved by working with area operation and central support teams and liaising with a range of external agencies and partners. You will report directly to Service Lead for your region.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to coach and support their team and to lead by example in driving quality and accountability whilst delivering the contractual aims of the service.
You will have experience of working with stakeholders in the Criminal Justice System and be able to communicate effectively to partners and providers. This will include forming working relationships in the MoJ and with HMPPS, and also with external community agencies to better support the service.
You will have previous experience of supporting others and guiding them within a team as you will be required to support, coach and develop a staffing team and deputise for the Service Lead in their absence.
This role provides an excellent springboard into other criminal justice professions including experience of working with a range of criminal justice agencies. In addition, you will gain experience in liaising with local authority Housing Benefit departments and the DWP to resolve financial issues/queries.
This role requires regular travel and a Full Driving License with access to your vehicle are an essential criteria.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, as well as registration on the DBS Update Service. These will be completed as part of the Pre-Employment Screening process.

In Birmingham hub we specialise in providing housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. We work in partnership with a range of organisations to improve the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable accommodation. This role will be to provide day to day leadership for our Peer Mentor Service, delivered in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. FIRST stands for Forensic Intensive Support Recovery Teams, where Peer Mentors use their own lived experience of complex needs to provide early intervention to improve client outcomes.
About the role
You will be responsible for the day to day service delivery and line management of the Peer Mentors, supporting them to deliver tailor made and holistic support packages, integrating joint working protocols within NHS services. You will allocate referrals and work closely with the Service Manager and Service Commissioners to identify gaps in provision. We specialise in housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. About the role
We have a new three year partnership with a leading bank, which aims to build financial resilience and break the cycles that can see people experiencing financial problems and this having a negative effect on their housing situation.
Your role will be to provide leadership and line management for six team members, keeping up to date with legislation, mentoring and coaching your team on complex issues in housing, debt and welfare benefits. About you
You will need experience of working with people facing exclusion and disadvantage and in a multi-disciplinary context with partners, community groups and other agencies, acting as a safeguarding lead. The communication skills it takes to line manage others, promote effective working relationships, with external agencies, people with lived experience and internally across Shelter, are key. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage externally funded contracts including reporting and financial oversight.

Ensuring the safety of their customers in their homes is a key priority for our client. As their Asset & Compliance Administration Manager your focus will be leading the team in a concise and structured fashion to ensure that processes and interactions aid the delivery of Customer Safety and planned maintenance. Your role will undertake a proactive approach to zero tolerance on Customer Safety and you'll ensure all aspects of customer safety / compliance are maintained, while supporting the delivery and completion of planned maintenance programmes. Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to Bradford City Centre. They’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as they meet their customer’s needs.
They’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Should you wish to work occasionally from any of their regional offices, you may do so on a hot desk basis which will need to be arranged via their online booking system.
Salary
The spot salary for this post is £44,559 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

Building on St Mungo’s extensive experience of supporting people sleeping rough through a range of face-to-face services, this innovative service aims to reduce the incidences of subsequent rough sleeping amongst people who have not slept rough before and increase the speed with which those who have a history of rough sleeping can access support and accommodation.
As an Assessment and Response Worker you will:

Answer phone calls from people experiencing homelessness in London and deliver a high quality of customer service

Triage online referrals from the website and the app, to connect people who are rough sleeping with local outreach teams as quickly as possible.

Carry out comprehensive telephone assessments, identifying immediate options for accommodation and support while confidently responding to emergency situations and safeguarding concerns.
