We’re now looking for a Brand and Digital Communications Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering shared parental leave. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced, creative digital professional to take ownership of our digital channels and help amplify the real impact of our work.
About the role
This is a hands-on, strategic digital communications role where no two days are the same.
You’ll lead our digital communications, content and design across multiple platforms — from social media and websites to digital screens across our campus. You’ll shape how we tell our story, how young people engage with us, and how supporters understand and champion our work.
You’ll:

Own and deliver our digital communications and campaigns calendar

Create engaging, high-quality content that brings our mission to life

Manage and develop our websites and social media channels

Lead on digital design, video and visual storytelling

Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency and quality

Line-manage one team member and collaborate across the organisation
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the charity, helping teams amplify their work and ensuring our communications are inclusive, accessible and impactful.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines creative flair with digital know-how, and who genuinely cares about using communications to make a difference.
You’ll likely have:

Strong experience in digital communications, content and campaigns

Confidence using design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator

Experience managing websites and multi-platform digital channels

Excellent writing skills and an eye for compelling visual storytelling

A proactive, organised approach and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

A collaborative mindset and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is a bonus — but not essential. What matters most is your values, curiosity and commitment to positive change.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London. The role will coordinate and run steering and advisory groups, and ‘task and finish’ groups, working with cross-sector stakeholders to enable the implementation of recent recommendations generated by research commissioned by the programme, and help with monitoring and evaluating the project and funded projects under this programme. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, a commitment to social justice, and a track record of delivering impactful support to external partners.
The workforce development programme was created after working closely with a group of funders and advice sector representatives who are now steering group members. The programme has reached an exciting stage, as it transitions from a foundation-laying and research phase into more of a focus on influencing and implementation of the learning generated to date, while also maintaining and strengthening new and existing relationships. This role, with support from the Head of Sector Support and Grants and the CEO, will oversee the continued development and delivery of this exciting partnership into the longer-term. This role will also work closely with the Propel initiative under London Funders to ensure effective coordination of work is done at all levels.

About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Salary: £30,640 (inclusive of £3,990 South East weighting)
Location:Across South London
Working hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term - 6 month contract to cover secondment
Job Purpose:
Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women in the community, co-located in hubs across South London. This programme is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) co-commissioning grant, along with investment from the six Local Authorities, the Community Rehabilitation Company and NHS England. The funding will be used to develop and expand support for female offenders and women at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system across Bromley, Bexley Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women across the South London boroughs.
The Advocate will:
- Provide advocacy, support and advice services to women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
- Be co-located across London Boroughs to support clients in Women’s Only Hubs.
- Attend designated office for monthly team meetings, training and team development time.
- Provide Through the Gate support to women leaving custody returning to one of the WIP’s boroughs.
