St Mungo’s Bristol Accommodation Services are taking on an exciting expansion, including supported housing Toll House Court in Southville, and Semi Independent Accommodation across West and East Bristol.
These services provide accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, trauma informed, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel with the aim of working towards a positive move-on into independent housing.
You will join a dynamic team of managers, day shift and night shift workers, taking part in the renewal of the service, helping us to provide a psychologically-informed environment and a supportive and secure place where our residents can make meaningful life changes.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Worker
When you'll be working
You will work full time on-site on a 7‑day rolling rota, including early shifts from 7:30am, late shifts until around 10pm, bank holidays, and two extended weekend shifts in every six. Some roles also offer a 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm–8am Monday to Friday, and for all weekend hours.

The Housing Needs Service is integral in effectively preventing homelessness and supporting service users into permanent and sustainable accommodation. Solicitor
You will challenge unfair housing practices and systemic causes of homelessness through strategic casework and litigation. Working closely with our Sheffield team and the Managing Solicitor to strengthen housing rights awareness across the region, you will support Legal Advisers, ensuring high professional standards and compliance.
Paralegal
You will help our solicitors to maintain an active caseload, enabling our clients to enforce their housing rights. Your role will be varied and will include taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications, providing court representation and making sure time recording and income targets are met. Please note this role is being advertised as a Paralegal but on appointment the job title will be Legal Adviser.
About You
For the Solicitor role, we are open to newly qualified candidates with a demonstrable interest in social justice, as well as those who have 3+ years PQE and a strong track record in housing law and Legal Aid work. You will have experience or a demonstrable interest in legal practice in the private or not for profit sector with experience of working on a wide range of housing cases, knowledge of legal aid, housing, homelessness and welfare law. You have the ability to research, write reports, time record and meet financial targets, as well as meeting or be willing to develop to meet the Housing Supervisor Requirements (September 2023).
For the Paralegal role you will need a good understanding of litigation work, be able to carry out legal research and provide a good standard of professional service and client care. You will have excellent communication skills, both in writing/drafting and face-to-face along with proficiency using case management systems and time recording, as well as the ability to manage your time and workload. If you have housing law experience and knowledge of Legal Aid/ CCMS this would be an advantage. You enjoy collaborating as part of a team, respond quickly and positively to change and are not afraid to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas when appropriate.

As Service Manager, you will lead Visiting Housing Support services in South West Edinburgh.
You’ll lead a team of eight staff and support people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or in unsuitable accommodation. The support will focus on empowering people to sustain their tenancies and live well in stable housing.
You’ll be managed by the Head of Services and work within a peer group of 7 other managers across the organisation. This service is delivered in partnership with Right There and you’ll work with colleagues across the partnership, sharing a responsibility to develop and embed our partnership approach.
Overview
This service is commissioned by City of Edinburgh Council and is in year 2 of a 10 year contract. Your team will support 300-400 people each year through phone support, direct meetings in people’s homes, running drop in sessions and visiting shared houses and other temporary accommodation. Your team will help people understand how to bid for housing; help them access benefits; signpost services to help them with additional concerns including mental health support; and, when the time comes, your team will support them to set up their tenancy in a sustainable way.

Leading a team
You will lead and line manage a team of eight practitioners and administrative support creating a high-performing, values-led culture where staff feel motivated, supported, and clear in their roles.
Delivering the service
You are responsible for all aspects of service delivery, from referral to sign off and everything in between.
Partnership working
Partnership working is key to the success of this role and this service. You’ll play a key role in developing partnerships and continuously improving the service—working closely service providers in the local area, the local authority and other stakeholder to strengthen collaboration, identify opportunities to provide support, and drive better outcomes for the people facing homelessness.
The key partnership however, is the relationship with Right There.
Four Square work with Right There to deliver visiting housing support in the West of the city. Right There are the lead partner and provide the service in the North West, while Four Square operate in the South West. We share some resources and benefit from the support and guidance of a Locality manager based in Right There. This is year two of a ten-year partnership and you will work with colleagues in Four Square and Right There to enhance the partnership and reap the benefits of cross organisation working.
Three of your team are employed by Right There and you’ll work to ensure seamless management of these staff. You’ll also lead and participate in joint training as well as reporting performance into the partnership.

The Bridge Project has been supporting people across Bradford since 1983. We work with individuals, families and communities to create lasting, positive change, recognising that people’s needs are often complex. Our dedicated team of around 120 staff, helps address a wide range of challenges, including housing instability, health and wellbeing, employment barriers and more.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Finance Manager to play a pivotal role across the organisation, with a particular focus on our supported housing projects. This is an exciting new position that not only takes on key responsibilities from our Director of Finance, but also additional work linked to our housing projects as we grow.
With major expansion planned over the next two years and our journey towards becoming a Registered Provider of Social Housing (RP) well underway, this is a rare opportunity to shape the financial foundations of a rapidly developing housing portfolio.
The Finance Manager will line manage the Finance Administrator, who undertakes much of Bridge’s day-to-day finance processing, and will work closely with the Director of Finance on organisational wide financial management.
Because of our size, the post will cover a range of financial responsibilities that in larger organisation would be divided across several posts. These responsibilities will include; managing income and expenditure for our housing projects; oversight of the organisation’s purchase ledger; payroll; producing internal management accounts and financial monitoring reports to funders; assisting with organisational budgeting, annual accounts and the audit process. This makes the role ideally suited to someone with a broad range of accounting and financial experience and skills, ideally with either a social housing or charity background.
We are looking for someone who is a part-qualified or a fully qualified accountant, with knowledge of UK accounting regulations. Strong financial reporting and analytical skills along with an understanding of payroll processes and systems is essential.
This is a full-time permanent position, with the potential for hybrid working. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

PURPOSE OF POST:
To provide structured housing related support to tenants of Mind in Gwent Supported Housing, and floating tenancy support to people experiencing mental health difficulties.
To act as keyworker providing practical and emotional support, advice, information and advocacy towards the goal of achieving greater independence in the community.
To liaise with a range of statutory and voluntary professionals and organisations to maximise resources for the client.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver person-centred housing related intervention to clients which promotes their mental wellbeing and independence whilst supporting to progress toward a life without the need for support. To work with clients in a manner which promotes autonomy to assess their own needs and develop and create individual personal support and plans to achieve their identified goals.
To network effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote the needs of the clients.
Working with clients so that they have the knowledge, understanding and skills to access services and support with the aim to improve their mental wellbeing and resilience.
Provide support to clients in accessing benefits and housing-related assistance, when applicable, to enhance their income and housing opportunities. Stay informed about current Social Security policies and housing legislation, ensuring clients are referred to specialist advisors when necessary.
Focus on client involvement ensuring that clients have their views heard and that the needs and wishes, individually and collectively, are respected in the services and support provided.
Work as part of the Housing and Tenancy Support Team and the wider Mind in Gwent Team to develop and deliver activities that achieve positive outcomes for Mind in Gwent tenants or clients receiving tenancy support.
Ensure all work is recorded and monitored to achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, team and organisational basis.
Ensure that anti-racism, equality and diversity are central to your work addressing disadvantage, inequalities, stigma and discrimination, making sure that you act to reach people from marginalised or disadvantaged groups and that the services you provide match their needs.
Work in accordance with best practice, legal requirements, the policies of Mind in Gwent, and the policies prescribed by the funders and to contribute in the development of such policies.
Support service development through researching models including, but not restricted to, good practice, sharing good practice guidelines, developing and leading on partnerships and initiating new services.
To contribute to the work of other projects and teams of Mind in Gwent as when required or directed to provide cover or to develop new skills or take on new opportunities.

We are looking for a Housing Advice Worker who is passionate about supporting young people experiencing homelessness to transition into safe and secure housing.
The ideal candidate will work proactively and enthusiastically, both independently and as part of a team. They will have experience working in a busy, often fast-paced environment and be confident in assessing individual needs and identifying appropriate housing pathways. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing and homelessness legislation, along with a solid insight into the reasons individuals experience homelessness. They will be able to effectively support young people presenting with a wide range of needs and barriers.
