Salary: £29,000 – £32,000 per annum

What will you do in the role?
- Assess client needs and suitability for accommodation in the private rented sector and/or supported housing via in-person meetings
- Provide advice, guidance and support over the phone, in person, and via email to clients and stakeholders
- Arrange viewings of suitable properties with clients and liaise with agents and landlords
- Make referrals to hostels and supported housing
- Assist clients to access grants and with benefit claims
- Support clients with issues such as rent payments, liaising with landlords and dealing with neighbours
- Update client records and referrers using our CRM system, In-Form.
- Work with the team to keep improving the service

Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Brent. Step‑free access is available at our main office. However, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to visit homes and other buildings that do not provide step‑free access
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota which can range between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and participant requirements.
About the Role
We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, and substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support participants will all aspects of their housing needs to support them ensure sustainable housing.
- Co-create tailored support plans which are centred towards the participants needs.
- Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.
- Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.
- Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.

About the Independent Living Programme
Centrepoint’s Independent Living Programme (ILP) is delivering 300 genuinely affordable homes across London and Greater Manchester for young people moving on from homelessness. With 50 homes already built and £23m secured, the Independent Living Capital Appeal is raising a further £27m to complete the programme.
The Role
The Independent Living Capital Appeal Manager will play a key role in delivering this ambitious programme. You will be responsible for helping to deliver the £27m appeal target by managing and growing a portfolio of high-value donors and grant-makers, securing five and six figure gifts, and developing a strong pipeline of new prospects.
Working closely with the Head of Independent Living Appeal, you will lead the cultivation and solicitation of high-value supporters while delivering an outstanding donor experience. You will also work closely with development and programme colleagues to align fundraising with live housing developments and future pipeline opportunities.

- Lead and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects, securing new and repeat five and six figure gifts

As a Housing and Homelessness Advisor, you’ll provide person‑centred housing support to the Armed Forces community, offering advice, casework and tenancy sustainment to those at risk of homelessness. Working closely with local authorities, housing providers and third‑sector partners, you’ll help deliver joined‑up support through the Council’s Housing Options approach. GHH, based at the Pearce Institute in Govan and delivered in partnership with SSAFA and Glasgow City Council, provides trusted support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Our trauma‑informed, holistic approach offers wraparound assistance that addresses housing needs alongside wider wellbeing challenges, helping beneficiaries build resilience and sustain long‑term housing solutions.
The service operates a gateway model, giving the Armed Forces community a single point of contact for housing, financial, employability and wider support.
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative network, working closely with local and national partners such as Citizens Advice Scotland, Veterans Housing Scotland, Erskine, Scottish Veterans Residences, Defence Medical Welfare Services, Homeless Casework Teams and Homeless Network Scotland. The role also involves attending stakeholder events that may occasionally fall outside of standard office hours.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive, compassionate person with a genuine interest in housing and homelessness. You’ll bring relevant experience or strong transferable skills, along with the motivation to support the Armed Forces community through complex housing challenges.
Ideally, you will hold a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 2 or 3 qualification in Housing Practice or be willing to work towards it as part of your development in the role
You’ll manage a varied caseload, provide person‑centred support, and work closely with local authorities, landlords and partner agencies. Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills are essential.
This is a community‑based role involving citywide travel, outreach work and home visits, and requires flexibility when dealing with urgent or changing needs.

The National House Project (NHP) supports Local Authorities to work with young people to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to live connected and fulfilling lives. By developing a community of support, completing the House Project Programme and being able to make their house a home young people can look forward to a positive future.

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to support NHP's internal expertise on Housing; ensure we have strong partnerships with Housing Providers and grow the offers of housing from Housing Providers across the UK, to support our growth as a charity. Essentially with more housing we can establish more Local House Projects (LHPs) and expand those that already exist, and in turn support more young people.
Working closely with senior leadership team (CEO, Director of Practice and Director of Partnerships), this role will lead on developing our first Housing Strategy and ensure we have the internal knowledge, expertise and capacity to grow our housing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
General

Lead the development and implementation of NHP’s Housing Partnership Strategy in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team ensuring aligned with organisational priorities and growth of NHP.

Build, develop and sustain a strong pipeline of housing partners across all NHP locations- at both a local and national level. Maintain effective relationships with existing providers whilst identifying new business and strategic housing opportunities to grow supply.

Work closely with local authorities (and LHPs) to understand regional housing supply, demand and challenges- with a view to informing the Housing Partnership Strategy.

We're looking for two Support Workers to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!
About the role
This role gives you the opportunity to help people build positive relationships and see meaningful change over time. At Your Place, we work to build hope and develop sustainable life skills that support people to move on from homelessness. We work closely with each resident, focusing on their strengths through one‑to‑one and peer‑led support within a compassionate community that encourages progress towards independent living.
As a Support Worker, you will deliver consistent one to one keywork to residents who may be rebuilding their lives after homelessness while navigating multiple needs and complex barriers. You will complete assessments, co‑produce support plans and risk assessments, and work in a trauma‑informed and psychologically aware way that promotes safety, dignity and independence.
You will not be doing this work alone. As part of a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with our Community Partnership Team, Resident Services and Move‑On Specialist to create joined‑up pathways, remove barriers and support successful move‑on.
Our approach is collaborative. You will work with health services, substance misuse providers, the DWP, Probation, Housing and other partners to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time. Experience
· Relevant experience may be gained through work or education, including supporting people affected by homelessness or housing insecurity and multiple needs, such as mental health, substance use, offending, poor physical health, or social isolation.
· Experience working in a trauma-informed and person-centred way, which can be demonstrated either through employment or educational placements, particularly with individuals who may find services difficult to trust.
· Experience completing assessments and co-producing support plans/risk assessments, as well as reviewing progress over time, gained via work, volunteering, or educational settings.
· Experience of partnership working and multi-agency coordination, developed through professional roles or collaborative educational projects.
Skills & knowledge
· Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries, confident communication with residents and professionals.

The project Manager will be leading and developing a team of Housing Management Assistants, to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered.
