Abeona Housing Co-operative is looking for a skilled administrator to join our small, close-knit team on a freelance, interim basis. This is a hands-on project role with real ownership and variety, working at the heart of a democratic, resident-led community.
Over three months, you will lead five defined projects to build Abeona's administrative and digital infrastructure, including a cloud filing migration and housing management software transition, alongside core day-to-day housing administration. You will work closely with our Finance Officer, Maintenance Manager, and volunteer committees, with a high degree of independence and the potential for a permanent role.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced administrator who wants meaningful work in a values-led organisation, without needing prior housing experience. We will provide full support on the co-operative structure and governance.
21 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday preferred. £25 to £27 per hour depending on experience. Immediate start.
Following the initial three month term, there is a genuine opportunity for the right person to move into a permanent position with the co-operative.

Main Purpose Of The Job:

Main Areas Of Responsibility:
Working closely with the Operations Manager :
• To lead the Housing First team providing excellent trauma informed support to 40+ Housing First residents in Oxford City.
• To work closely with commissioners on delivery of the service, to develop and maintain strategic relationships with Oxford City Council, housing providers, NHS services, Adult Social Care, Probation and voluntary sector partners.
• Provide reflective, trauma-informed supervision and support to staff.
• Lead safeguarding, risk management and multi-disciplinary case reviews.
• Ensure adherence to Housing First fidelity and continuous quality improvement.
• To ensure that Homeless Oxfordshire delivers effective and high-quality support that meets the evolving needs of our residents.
• To deliver a psychologically person centred trauma informed approach across all services.
• To promote the active involvement of service user experience and voice in the delivery, development and monitoring of Housing First.
• To manage the personalisation budget attached to the Housing First.
• Ensuring that commissioned contracts are adhered to and KPIs for these contracts are met.
• To support staff to ensure that all services are run safely and compliant with safeguarding.
• Being proactive in reviewing and evaluating own performance and identifying and acting upon areas for improvement and development.

• Be part of Homeless Oxfordshire on-call rota.
• To cover for other Service Managers if needed.

About The Role
Are you a positive, solutions-focused professional with a passion for preventing homelessness and reducing reoffending?
If you’re driven by supporting meaningful change for people involved in the criminal justice system, this could be the ideal role for you.
As a Housing Interventions Officer, you’ll be based primarily at HMP Parc, working side-by-side with Probation resettlement colleagues and directly with men in custody and on release. Occasional travel to HMP Cardiff, Swansea, Usk or Prescoed may be required depending on service need.
You’ll deliver housing-focused interventions that prevent homelessness, improve access to accommodation and support successful resettlement into the community.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver 1-to-1 housing advice and interventions within the prison environment
- Complete holistic housing needs assessments and develop clear, structured action plans
- Prevent homelessness by securing and sustaining suitable accommodation
- Source private rented accommodation (HMOs, shared housing, studios and 1-beds)
- Liaise with landlords and agents, including negotiating rent and tenancy terms
- Ensure properties meet legal, health & safety and Rent Smart Wales requirements
- Work closely with Prison, Probation and housing partners to manage risk and achieve targets
- Encourage engagement with Forward Connect and other appropriate support services

Housing Interventions Worker - Custody based - HMP Swansea and HMP Parc

If you’re an experienced, positive, and solutions-focused individual with a passion for preventing homelessness, reducing reoffending, and supporting meaningful change in the lives of people involved with Criminal Justice services, this could be the ideal role for you.
The service supports individuals with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement as part of their Community Supervision Licence, helping them prepare for returning to the community upon release. Our service is also available to unsentenced men on remand awaiting sentencing.
About the Role
You’ll be based primarily at HMP Parc (Bridgend) and HMP Swansea, working closely with Probation resettlement colleagues and directly with service users on the prison wings. At times, you may also support the service at HMP Cardiff, HMP Usk, or HMP Prescoed, depending on operational need.
In this role, you’ll deliver housing-focused interventions to improve housing opportunities and prevent homelessness for men on probation or approaching release. You’ll ensure holistic assessments are completed, make onward referrals to specialist services, and work collaboratively with prison, probation, and housing partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 housing advice and interventions for men in custody or on probation in South Wales
- Completing housing needs assessments and developing structured action plans
- Actively engaging with Camau objectives to prevent homelessness and improve housing options
- Liaising with landlords, agents, and housing providers to source suitable accommodation
- Negotiating tenancy agreements and ensuring all properties meet Rent Smart Wales and safety standards
- Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, registered social landlords, and private sector partners across Gwent, South Wales, and Dyfed Powys
- Supporting service users to access Forward Connect and other Forward Trust services
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of housing and welfare benefits systems
- Experience providing housing or welfare advice to clients
- Proven ability to assess adults with multiple or complex support needs (homelessness, recovery, offending, etc.)
- Experience developing and delivering support plans to help clients sustain tenancies

You’ll take the lead in managing safe, high-quality accommodation for young people at risk of homelessness—driving standards across repairs, voids, rent collection, and compliance while working closely with landlords, contractors, and support teams to keep services running smoothly.

KEY DELIVERABLES
• You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service, including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
• You will advise all prospective or new tenants/residents of their rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/license agreement.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that repairs are undertaken to a high standard, within an appropriate time frame and represent value for money.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that accommodation units are well maintained in accordance with the management agreement and for bringing them quickly into management to minimize void loss.
• You will prepare short reports on arrears, voids, and repairs for the service manager, Depaul’s central services and commissioner meetings as required.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that all common parts and grounds of Depaul managed properties are in good maintenance order and adhere to Depaul Health and Safety requirements.
• You will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards in the premises and a point of information for clients regarding Health and Safety.
• You will facilitate the fair allocation of letting accommodation in accordance with Depaul’s Policy and Procedures.
• You will work with the keyworkers and clients to collect rents and service charges and hold responsibility for the accurate reporting of rental income, voids and allocations to Depaul’s finance team.
• You will liaise with local Housing Benefit Teams, Social Service Departments or other authorities regarding individual rental income claims.
• You will work proactively with keyworkers and clients to develop personal payment plans to support clients not to incur rental debt.
• You will be the first point of contact for landlord queries and contractors.
• You will support and facilitate the work of the volunteers who add value to the work that we do.
• You will contribute to making the environment a positive place to work for all staff, volunteers, and students.
• You will undertake further duties as commensurate to the role identified by your line manager.
• Demonstrate a commitment to client involvement by advocating client involvement opportunities, for example by actively promoting the Voice of Depaul to clients and attending residents meetings when appropriate.

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.
What began as a single housing project in North London soon expanded across London, Greater Manchester and the North East of England. Today, Depaul UK provides accommodation, prevention and support services to thousands of marginalised young people across the UK each year.
As our name suggests, the work of Depaul UK has been inspired by St. Vincent de Paul – a man who devoted his life to helping vast numbers of people throughout the 17th century. Housing Matters (Bristol), is a specialist housing advice, support and advocacy charity in Bristol. We are a small team of 12, with 7 Housing Advisers currently on the team.
We believe quality housing is a human right. We’re here to give anyone in and around Bristol the knowledge and support they need to live in safe, secure homes. We work tirelessly with clients, offering both brief guidance, holistic support and long-term casework. We amplify clients’ voices to influence housing policy and empower people to fight for the home they deserve.
Role Summary
You will provide specialised housing advice, support and advocacy on a range of issues including landlord and tenant disputes, homelessness, housing related benefits and rehousing. As well as providing legal advice, you will offer the support and encouragement needed to motivate and empower clients to resolve their own housing issues.

About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Housing Manager you will:
· Play a key role in shaping an exceptional housing management service to deliver a truly customer-focused experience
· Line manage a team of Housing Officers, leading and coaching them to deliver a responsive and proactive service.
· Work closely alongside your Housing Manager counterpart to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
· Take ownership of core performance areas — including lettings, tenancy management, communal space standards, rental income and service charge delivery — ensuring a consistently high standard across all functions.
· Ensure CHS proactively responds to anti-social behaviour, harassment and domestic abuse cases in a responsive and supportive manner, working positively with partner agencies and building on external partnerships.
Hybrid Working Arrangements – the majority of the working week will be office-based with the housing team in Histon, particularly in the first six months (probation period).
Thereafter it may be possible to apply for a higher proportion of hybrid working, with the needs of the team and service delivery being the prime consideration.
What you’ll need to succeed
· Experience in line managing or supporting staff highly desirable, with a natural ability to lead and motivate others
· A minimum of two years’ experience delivering and managing a housing service within a social housing environment.
· A Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or relevant management qualification is desirable but not essential, demonstrating your commitment to professional development.
· Strong, up-to-date knowledge of social housing legislation, welfare benefits, housing policy and the wider social issues affecting our customers.
· Naturally confident and customer‑focused, you bring excellent communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills to every interaction.
· Experience of using housing management IT systems and Microsoft Packages and strong numeracy skills.

About Citadel
Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing and Compliance
- Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
- Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.
Coaching and Engagement
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
