We are now seeking a Housing Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing our supported housing delivery.
The role
As Housing Operations Manager you will oversee both the ongoing supported housing operations and be tasked to bring improvement and consistency of delivery. We have a vision to grow our women’s housing provision over the next five years and this role will be key in developing an impacting and financially sustainable supported housing model.
The focus of the role includes:
- Building high quality, financially sustainable and well-led housing communities
- Ensuring smooth daily running of Keychange supported housing operations, led by sector compliance
- Managing community managers and building relationships for collaborative impact with internal and external stakeholders
- Building a model of support for housing to increase best practice and consistency
- Creating partnerships with other organisations to enable the delivery of support
- Contributing to a hard-working, open and transparent culture which supports continuous improvement
- Liaising with local authorities and statutory agencies to ensure the appropriate interactions with communities

About you
We are looking for a values-led manager who brings:
- Experience in managing supported housing provisions, with good knowledge of Supported Housing and Ofsted regulations and sector best practice
- Experience of managing people, providing leadership and empowering development to a team delivering housing support
- Proven ability to build positive relationships effectively with internal stakeholders, external partner agencies and local authorities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and find solutions to operational challenges
- Ability to travel up to 40 days per year

The Senior Housing Advisor at SSAFA’s Glasgow’s Helping Heroes (GHH) leads the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred housing and homelessness support for members of the Armed Forces community at risk of homelessness. The postholder provides professional oversight of housing advice, casework and tenancy sustainment, setting clear standards for inclusive practice and addressing barriers to housing.
The role involves supporting triage, allocating and monitoring caseloads, and guiding staff on complex and high‑risk cases. Alongside holding a caseload, the postholder focuses on quality assurance, escalation, problem‑solving and service development.
The postholder will oversee the use of rent deposit, first‑month rent and emergency accommodation funding, ensuring fair and transparent decision‑making, and contributes to tenancy sustainment outcomes, service planning and reporting. This role combines leadership with operational oversight, supporting staff development, safeguarding and data quality while playing a key role in preventing homelessness and supporting veterans to secure and sustain safe housing.
This is a community‑based role involving citywide travel, outreach work and home visits, requiring flexibility to respond to urgent or changing needs.

About the Team
GHH, based at the Pearce Institute in Govan and delivered in partnership with SSAFA and Glasgow City Council, provides trusted support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Our trauma‑informed, holistic approach offers wraparound assistance that addresses housing needs alongside wider wellbeing challenges, helping beneficiaries build resilience and sustain long‑term housing solutions.
The service operates a gateway model, giving the Armed Forces community a single point of contact for housing, financial, employability and wider support.

Responsibilities
Our support workers both work with guests in both Drop-in and in Hope House, but each takes a lead responsibility in one or the other of these projects. This post holder leads on the housing management responsibilities for Hope House.
Drop-in responsibilities :
· Welcome and assess first time guests, identifying priority needs.

Hope House responsibilities

Solicitor
You will challenge unfair housing practices and systemic causes of homelessness through strategic casework and litigation. Working closely with our Sheffield team and the Managing Solicitor to strengthen housing rights awareness across the region, you will support Legal Advisers, ensuring high professional standards and compliance.
Paralegal
You will help our solicitors to maintain an active caseload, enabling our clients to enforce their housing rights. Your role will be varied and will include taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications, providing court representation and making sure time recording and income targets are met. Please note this role is being advertised as a Paralegal but on appointment the job title will be Legal Adviser.
About You
For the Solicitor role, we are open to newly qualified candidates with a demonstrable interest in social justice, as well as those who have 3+ years PQE and a strong track record in housing law and Legal Aid work. You will have experience or a demonstrable interest in legal practice in the private or not for profit sector with experience of working on a wide range of housing cases, knowledge of legal aid, housing, homelessness and welfare law. You have the ability to research, write reports, time record and meet financial targets, as well as meeting or be willing to develop to meet the Housing Supervisor Requirements (September 2023).
For the Paralegal role you will need a good understanding of litigation work, be able to carry out legal research and provide a good standard of professional service and client care. You will have excellent communication skills, both in writing/drafting and face-to-face along with proficiency using case management systems and time recording, as well as the ability to manage your time and workload. If you have housing law experience and knowledge of Legal Aid/ CCMS this would be an advantage. You enjoy collaborating as part of a team, respond quickly and positively to change and are not afraid to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas when appropriate.

What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers who are currently in refuge to make the transition to permanent accommodation smoother.
Supporting community customers who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme to remain in their properties and manage the risks associated with that.
Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a move on Support Plan
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking.'
Ensuring customers have full access to any move on welfare support by completing move on paperwork prior to customers move on date.
Liaising and building partnerships with local charities to support customers with move on items
Accompany customers to property viewings.
Helping to set up utilities for move on customers
Working proactively with the refuge and IDVA teams and referring any clients/customers to the IDVAs where required.
Empowering customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits to which they are entitled

Horsham Y Centre provides 24-hour supported housing services offering medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with 50 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our team at Horsham Y Centre. You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. In addition, you will carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who require medical assistance, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

About the role
Reporting directly to the Sanctuary Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our accommodation pathways, ensuring the best possible outcomes for destitute migrants and newly granted refugees.
This is a dynamic, frontline casework role that spans three core areas of our housing provision:

You will have a strong working knowledge of the housing system, the UK welfare system (including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit), and how to support people to access their entitlements. Because this role requires managing complex casework and navigating cultural nuances, you must possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly when working with vulnerable people or those with English as a second language.

The Housing Needs Service is integral in effectively preventing homelessness and supporting service users into permanent and sustainable accommodation. The Housing Needs Service involves working collaboratively with other internal services, including the Resettlement Team, the Employment Service, the Housing Solutions Service and Passage House Assessment Centre, to assess the housing needs of service users and identify appropriate accommodation options.
This service is key part of the No Night Out service (NNO), an innovative model that provides rapid intervention and support for individuals at imminent risk of rough sleeping for the first time. Service users are provided with emergency accommodation, assessed by the Housing Needs Service and supported to view and sign up for Private Rented Sector properties within a target timeframe of 14 days. The Housing Needs Service works closely with the Resettlement Team to achieve successful outcomes within this prevention service.
The Housing Rights Worker will provide high-quality housing advice, advocacy and casework support to individuals and communities experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity or other housing-related problems. You will empower clients by delivering practical solutions and helping them understand and exercise their statutory rights, while contributing to the organisation’s objectives of preventing homelessness and improving access to safe, secure housing.
The Housing Rights Worker is required to:
- Prevent homelessness wherever possible by supporting clients to understand and exercise their legal and statutory housing rights.
- Provide specialist housing advice, advocacy and casework support to individuals experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity or housing-related difficulties.
- Working collaboratively with the Intervention Worker’s caseload of clients, ensuring high-quality client-centred support.
- Represent and advocate on behalf of clients in dealings with landlords, local authorities and other statutory or voluntary agencies.
- Sourcing suitable accommodation options, including shared and private rented accommodation, particularly for single people under 35 affected by Shared Accommodation Rate restrictions.

As Community & Volunteer Engagement Coordinator you will be assisting Peter Bedford Housing Association with its current strategic aims of making a difference for Tenants and Participants and achieving more through ambitious partnerships.
Situated within the housing association’s Enterprises & Training Team, you will lead the delivery of a specific project seeking to tackle food poverty and long-term development needs such as wellbeing and social connection.
You will work alongside the Pantry Coordinator to lead on developing a wrap-around service to enable access to skills training, IAG, and volunteering opportunities for PBHA’s tenants and local communities.

Key duties and responsibilities:
