Working closely with the CEO, the Audit, Finance and Risk (AFR) Committee and the Board, the Finance & Corporate Services Manager is responsible for the financial management of the charity on a strategic and operational level, and supports our corporate, HR and ICT functions. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this position provides leadership and support to the wider team, and line management of the Finance & Corporate Services Officer. Other duties include monthly payroll, monthly management accounts and reports, annual budget and audit, and supporting our team with HR, ICT and office requirements.

You will be an experienced senior manager with at least 4-5 years of experience in finance within the charity sector and providing back-office support. An accountancy qualification is essential, as is knowledge of SORP.

You will be highly organised, able to work as part of our small team as well as on your own initiative, have a methodical and collaborative approach, and a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be passionate about our campaigning work to improve the lives of older Londoners, and committed to upholding our mission, vision and values.

Finance and Resources Manager (Full Time)

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

Stoll is the lead provider of housing and support services in the Veterans sector.  Founded in 1916, Stoll has provided a sanctuary to help Veterans rebuild their lives for over 100 years. We are currenty undertaking a major transformation programme across all of our operations, including, but not limited to, resource identification across our services, reviewing software use, realigning workflows across our infrastructure, whilst upgrading systems and improving processes. As Business Administration & Finance Officer (BAFO) you will be responsible for the smooth running of the administration of the charity. Working closely with the finance team, HR team, regional managers and the senior management team and the post holder will have communication with all members of Envision employees. The aim of the role is to standardise our back-office processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency including Finance, HR & IT as well as event and travel management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative support for all Envision delivery staff including event space hiring, sending out contracts to our partners and inputting information into our customer relationship management (CRM) software, Salesforce.

We are a large and busy Church of England parish and are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Operations Manager to join our leadership team.  You will be someone who can oversee all the operational elements with appropriate attention to detail and processes and also take a full part in supporting new developments in line with our vision.

Our Operations Manager is moving on after almost 3 years in post so we are looking for someone to lead our Operations Team at All Saints Church, Ecclesall.

The role requires the oversight of four areas of church operations:

You will manage the operations team (6 staff) and work closely with the ministry team, a wider range of active volunteers and users of our halls complex. General Operations Management

1.1 Manage the Church Office to ensure that the working environment and working practices are efficient, flexible and fully reflect the mission and values of All Saints.

1.3 Working closely with the Ministry Team, including participation in the weekly senior team meeting, manage the church programme and calendar.

1.4 Oversee the preparation of the resources required to support the weekly services, major church festivals and other church events. Lead on arranging some events.

1.5 Oversee enquiries about baptisms, weddings, funerals and church yard.

1.6 Provide informed support to volunteers in all areas of administration and operations covering a wide range of regular and adhoc activities.

Communications

2.1 Support the Vicar in ensuring timely, appropriate and effective internal and external communications including the weekly e-mail and hard copy church notices.

2.2 Ensure that the website is regularly reviewed and updated, as required.

2.4 Respond to enquiries and requests from the Diocese, local community and external organizations, as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

People (HR)

• Manage and maintain HR policies, procedures and practices including the employee handbook, ensuring they are up to date, recorded, filed and adhered to (i.e. personnel contracts, DBS, volunteers, holidays, sick leave)

• Utilise the Core Operations budget with help from the Operations Assistant to ensure Wen is maintaining photocopier, stationary supplies, liaising with our landlord about rent, maintaining phones, health and safety, fire procedures, utilities, rates and insurance.
• Oversee the IT Coordinator to ensure licenses are up to date, IT issues are solved promptly and IT developments and changes across our two sites and hybrid team are tracked

Finance

• Work with Finance Manager and Head of Organisational Development to establish strong financial processes and policies and ensure staff are aware of the relevant ones
• Liaising with our Finance Manager on day-to-day accounting as and when necessary 
• Managing the Core Operations budget including approval of expenditure (as a signatory) and cashflow preparation for the coming financial year
• Checking and collation of monthly payroll information

People Support

• Managing the Operations Assistant and IT Co-ordinator.
• Supporting volunteers as required and oversee managing our volunteer database.
• Supporting Wen team with HR and other Operations-related matters.

Along with any other reasonable tasks and duties deemed relevant to the role.

Retail:

• Producing quarterly stock take reports.
• Supporting the sales team at Port Lockroy.

General:

About the Role

About You

We’re looking for an experienced and professional operational manager with HR expertise, who is passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives and thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment.

You will have experience of:

• General HR functions, including HR practices, procedures and policies.
• Basic accounts work and/or payroll
• Working in a senior administrative roles within a busy office environment
• Operational management & line management responsibility for a large, varied staff team
• Managing budgets
• Providing support at Board or Chief Executive level
• Working with external stakeholders and partners, e.g. contracts, service agreements, commissioning

About the Organisation

This is a brand-new locally run youth charity, set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for ensuring that Conciliation Resources’ finances, governance and operational support services across its six offices are compliant and meet the needs of the organisation.

This is a key leadership role in this vibrant, user-led charity based in Richmond and Wandsworth. You will be providing leadership and direction to five Team Leads/Managers, as well as leading and directing development to increase the scope and depth of the services we offer. This part-time (21 hours per week) role is to cover the maternity leave of the current Manager and will be up to 12 months.

Ruils is a charity that supports disabled children and adults to live independently, be part of their community and live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. We enable individuals to have choice and control over the way in which they get their support.

The Adult Services Team Manager is one of three Team Managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.

We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community, and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.

The Adult Services Manager works alongside our Children’s Team Manager and our Social Prescribing and Community Development Manager, supported by Finance, Fundraising and Campaigns and Communications Managers.

Purpose of the post

• To be responsible for the management of the Support Services to Direct Payment clients in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To be responsible for the research and development of adult services in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To oversee the promotion, monitoring and delivery of the CILS, Pathways and Counselling services.
• To provide leadership and supervision, performance evaluation and general support for all of the Adult Services Team Managers and Leads.
• To be responsible for adult safeguarding and health and safety across the organisation.

Main duties include:

Management of the Direct Payment Support Service

• Leading and managing the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through the Direct Payment Leads.
• Providing support to the DP Team Leads to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
• Supporting the Team Leads in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitoring performance against these targets and identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
• Providing performance data to finance for invoicing purposes.
• Reporting quarterly to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of Trustees.
• Working with the DP Team Leads and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.

CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams

• Leading and managing the delivery of the Community Activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
• Working with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting local authority targets.
• Reporting as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of Trustees.
• Ensuring the active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and ensuring representation of Ruils at networking events.
• Working with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.

The role

Do you have good people skills, are you organised, methodical and can work with IT equipment and manage databases?

We are looking for a Corporate Services Support Officer who will support our HR & IT functions.  You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of employee recruitment, updating our policies and procedures, managing the IT requirements and maintaining the HR & IT databases.  We need someone who has got experience of working in a support function and would like to be involved in moving our support model forward.
