We are looking for a Community Leader Programme Support Worker who will focus on engaging existing members of SLRA’s Community Leaders Programme and encouraging new members to join, through one-to-ones and grouplistening sessions. Through these listening activities, the role will identify the issues people are facing and barriers that exist to participating in the programme, and use this learning to help shape the monthly sessions, projects and actions, as well as the evaluation of the programme. This is a developmental role and focus will be on strengthening core skills through training opportunities and support from the team.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience of community organising work, and participating or leading activities/workshops.
- Personal, lived experience of the impact of the UK immigration or asylum system.
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with community members and colleagues.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. About the role
We are recruiting a paralegal to join CCLC’s friendly and committed Community Care team and work with a small but dedicated team of experienced solicitors.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people who is seeking to progress their legal aid career in the charity sector. Our lawyers benefit from a good work-life balance and realistic financial and chargeable hour targets. We advise children and young people up to the age of 25, and families, on a wide range of community care and public law issues. After training, the role can be split between working from home/office-based with flexibility as to the balance between the two, dependent on team requirements.
Our community care team works closely with colleagues in the Immigration and Family teams, as well as with other organisations within the Coram group, including Coram Voice and the Migrant Children’s Project. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a passion and commitment to upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people.
As well as conducting casework for individuals, our community care team undertakes strategic litigation for the wider benefit of children, young people and families, and is actively involved in policy issues impacting our client base.

Job Purpose:
WomenMATTA delivers innovative services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one practical and emotional support, advocacy and group work.
This post is two-fold; the post holder will provide in-depth, ongoing support to a small caseload of complex cases, whilst they also support with the coordination of the WomenMATTA Hubs. The post holder will also provide administrative support, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, and partnerships are maintained.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with, or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system.
- Support effective service delivery, staff practice, and safeguarding across WomenMATTA services.
- Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support for women.
