We are looking for someone to join the St Mungo’s Leadership Team as Director of Fundraising and Communications. In this exciting role you will be responsible for leading a team of around 60 fundraisers and communicators to grow St Mungo’s brand and reputation and increase fundraised income to over £20m by 2027. Job Purpose 

This is a new role created to assist the small but growing team at SKT with our primary goal of engaging and mobilising residents in the neighbourhood we serve, numbering around 7500 people. SKT will assume management of community and event spaces at the heart of the neighbourhood this year and we are preparing service providers to make room for community voice in shaping local services. Involving residents in shaping their future is central to our purpose, whether by ensuring local assets and amenities work for them, or by influencing service delivery. Main Tasks: 

Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Coordination  

• Recruit and maintain a team of twenty active volunteers from the local community to assist in community building initiatives.

• Develop and deliver a volunteer programme to engage the South Kilburn community which will likely include, but not limited to:

In2scienceUK’s aim is to promote social mobility and diversity in science, technology, engineering and maths. Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding Manager to join our growing team and own our safeguarding processes end to end. This is a crucial role to ensure the safety of the young people we work with and that In2scienceUK provides a safe environment for all.

This role is part time and contract based and would be ideal for someone who has significant experience of safeguarding and child protection law, as well as experience

in carrying out safeguarding audits, implementing safeguarding processes for both in person and online offers, as well as internal and external safeguarding training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster culture of ‘safeguarding first’ across the organisation in the design and delivery of our programmes.

• Review existing safeguarding practices and procedures and make recommendations for changes to improve practice and ensure compliance.

• Design and deliver effective in-person and online safeguarding training for trustees, staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.

• Contribute to the production of safeguarding policies, codes of conduct, and other documentation.

• Support with implementation and change management regarding new safeguarding policies and processes.

• Manage safeguarding concerns and disclosures as they arise

• Maintain and manage our safeguarding records in compliance with Child Protection Law and GDPR.

About the role

Working alongside the NTD Finance and Compliance Manager, you'll oversee the financial management of diverse NTD projects, focusing particularly on Nigerian initiatives. Your role covers a range of efforts from Trachoma eradication to Onchocerciasis/Lymphatic Filariasis elimination and research projects, crucial to our major donors. You'll conduct partner reviews and assist in financial planning for future proposals.

Review and Feedback:

• Provide feedback on budgets, financial reports, and other submissions prepared by partners and Sightsavers country office staff for assigned NTD programs in Nigeria.

Data Accuracy:

• Ensure accurate entry of budgets and financial reports into the MyCLAIMS program management system.
• Verify that financial records reconcile with underlying data sources, such as SUN accounts.

Financial Reporting:

• Collaborate with the Finance and Compliance Manager to prepare financial reports for donors and NTD senior management.
• Include budgets, financial reports, forecasts, narrative reports, asset registers, risk registers, and delivery chain maps within specified timelines.

Audit and Monitoring:

• Conduct audit and financial monitoring processes with NTD program partners in Nigeria.

We are working in partnership with MuirCroft Housing Association, a not-for-profit social landlord providing sheltered housing in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead on and bring a new perspective to an already successful charity.

In existence for over 40 years, MuirCroft provides sheltered housing to rent for over 60's and today supports well over 100 tenants. But MuirCroft is about much more than just its buildings, it’s a thriving, happy community of people living their own lives but with the support of both staff and fellow tenants.

With a track record of successful senior appointments, and with specialist skills in the sector the new Chief Executive will lead a well-structured, rigorous, and fully supported service. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Experience of senior leadership in an organisation or major service in a relevant field, with a proven track record in both strategic and operational management 
• Understanding of the social housing operating environment, the regulatory framework provided by the Regulator of Social Housing and other sector regulators.
• Experience of developing financial and non-financial management information, and have excellent budget preparation, setting, monitoring and financial forecasting.
• Effectively work with Board or Management Committee to develop exciting and realistic strategies that deliver the vision and objectives who can lead the development of organisational and cultural change.

The ideal candidate will be an effective team player and 'people person' who is able to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and standards and use their skills and experience of the small staff team, to best effect.  You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead and positively represent the organisation.  The new Chief Executive Officer will be an ambassador, playing a key role in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, lead and inspire a team.  The new Chief Executive Officer will embrace regular daily tasks, as well as formulating and implementing forward-looking strategy.

Charity People are working with national charity The Migraine Trust on their search for an Interim Head of Fundraising, a senior position which will lead their fundraising strategy and inspire the team to be the best they can be.

This exciting appointment will play an integral role in supporting the charity to have a huge impact on the lives of people living with migraines, through increasing funding, awareness of migraines, and of the charities work.

The Migraine Trust is dedicated to helping people affected by migraine, and are the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine, and this complex and debilitating neurological disorder significantly affects their lives. Every year over two million people visit their website and thousands contact helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine and for help in managing it at work, in education, and in accessing healthcare.

The Role

• Full time, 35 hours per week
• Line manage a team of 3
• Salary of £50,000 p/a
• 25 days holiday a year (pro-rata, excluding bank holidays), which increases for each year of service up to a maximum of 30 days

With the opportunity to drive forward the fundraising strategy with a particular focus on looking at new and creative ways of engaging the corporate sector, the successful candidate will take a lead in growing and diversifying the charity's partnership portfolio, and ultimately furthering the charities strategic aims. Additionally, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will attend monthly meetings in London and quarterly Team Connection days, which span two days per quarter.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the postholder will also work closely with SLT colleagues and report directly to the CEO, to maximise opportunities and support the development of wider strategic plans across the charity.

Establishing and leading a fundraising team, the role will also develop and take ownership of the fundraising strategy with a particular focus on raising new funds from the corporate sector.

About The Role

This is an exciting role, which will support the development, and maintenance of a new Knowledge Centre and content for our training and learning activities.

You will be creating a wide range of informative resources, that appeal to different learning styles and objectives such as ‘tool kits,’ templates, video, audio, blogs etc as alternative ways of learning to support the work of the Home-Start network. Working with Subject Matter Experts and colleagues across the organisation, the Coordinator will be a point of contact for content creation, learning enquiries, administration, and communications.
