Your new role
- Supporting the finance department by handling more advanced accounting tasks, managing financial records and providing guidance to more junior members of staff.
- Oversee and manage the reconciliation process. This includes identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
- Oversee and manage the aged payables and receivables.
- Support on donor reporting expenditure and forecasts.
- Maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other financial records.
- Perform month-end processes effectively.
- Provide support to the Management Accountant.
- Prepare prepayments and accruals journals and maintain the schedule.
- Prepare payroll journals for sign-off.
- Provide accounts payable support.
What you'll need to succeed
- Part-qualified accountant. Fully AAT qualified is essential.
- Advanced excel user.
- Experience in a similar role. Strong with month-end.
- Experience working with Workday financial system.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Operations Manager with a small international development and humanitarian charity, on a part-time (15 – 22.5 hours per week), permanent basis. As Finance and Operations Manager, you will manage the internal finance and operational processes of the charity in compliance with UK GAAP, industry best practices and Charity Commission guidance and regulations, supporting trustees and staff to do their work and ensuring our best use of resources.
The role is supported by a part-time Finance and Executive Assistant who is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office, book-keeping and monthly reconciliations.
Please note, there is flexible working in place with this organisation and you would only be required to attend the office 1-2 days per month. Additionally, please note that the salary shown is the FTE.
As Finance and Operations Manager, you will:
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with UK reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the production of timely and accurate monthly reconciliation and reports by the Finance and Executive Assistant
- Support the Director and trustees to develop and oversee implementation of the charity’s mission and strategy
- Support the Director with budgeting and forecasting processes and provide appropriate reporting and analysis of variances and support for decision making to senior leadership and trustees
- Line manage the Finance and Executive Assistant
- Lead on ensuring compliance with data protection requirements
The successful applicant will:
- Have Significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Be qualified or part-qualified and actively studying for ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Have knowledgeable in UK charity accounting, financial statements, audits, organisational strategy, planning and budgeting
- Have experience of managing/overseeing restricted funding from donors and how to record project income within accounting software
- Have experience of using QuickBooks or similar online accounting software packages
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant with an international charity, on a full-time, permanent basis. As Assistant Accountant you will play an integral role in the Finance team and support the work of the Finance Manager and Director of Finance.

As Assistant Accountant, you will:
- Assist the Finance Manager with the annual audit of group and subsidiary accounts within the required deadlines
- Assist the Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets and revised forecasts
- Assist the Finance Manager with the month end process & the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Undertake ad hoc investigations into and analysis of accounts
The successful applicant will:
- Have demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Be part-qualified
- Have knowledge of the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)
- Have good knowledge of accounting software and information systems
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments and check payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Maintain and update vendor files, including contact information and payment terms.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- A qualification in Finance - at least finished AAT level 2.
- Experience of general accounting - debit vs credit entries, purchase ledger, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Experience of working with Workday is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Risk & Audit Manager
£50,178 set salary
Permanent, Full-time

Exciting opportunity for a Risk & Audit Manager to join a global international development Organisation to improve the internal audit and risk management processes. To lead the function and push the department to a higher level.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Develop and execute an annual internal audit plan, prioritising audit activities based on identified risks and strategic objectives.
- Ensure that audits are carried out and documented in accordance with recognised auditing standards, gathering robust evidence to support findings.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the organisations risk management framework.
- Maintain and update the organisation’s risk register, ensuring regular review and assessment of risks.
- Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, Compliance, and Governance, work closely with the Programmes and Fundraising teams to oversee the compliance function.
- Ensure donor compliance, including adherence to all donor requirements and regulations.
Who are we looking for?
- Professional qualification, such as a Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIA) certification or full CCAB qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
- Proven experience in risk management and internal audit, ideally within an international NGO or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and internal audit methodologies.
