The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. The role combines supporting the Trusts and Foundations Manager, Senior Trusts Officer, and Head of Fundraising with the maintenance of existing relationships as well as generating their own income from both smaller and larger trusts. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and institutional donors. Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a similar environment is essential.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated candidate who is looking for a career in fundraising. The Dalit Solidarity Network is a small human rights organisation working to eliminate caste-based discrimination in the UK and South Asia. About the role:

We are seeking a part-time Office Administrator for 2 days/week, initially for one year with a possibility of renewal. The hours can be worked flexibly with prior agreement of the Director. Hybrid-working arrangements (from home and on site) will be considered.  

Main responsibilities:

Administration:

· Responsible for day-to-day administration and office management and providing secretarial assistance to the Director & diary management.

· Maintenance of files and records both physical and computerised system filing and computerised database systems and email lists.

· General office management including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, managing expenses, liaising for office management, ordering office supplies, etc.

· Organise and take minutes for key meetings – including quarterly Board meetings and AGM.

· Undertake such duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role as the Director may request.

Communication and Outreach:

· Maintain and update DSN-UK website and social media,  coordinate internal and external information-sharing and communication with stakeholders and network partners.

Finance and Accounts:

· Responsible for maintaining records of all financial transactions and reconciliation of all bank statements.

· Assist in the preparation of budgets for donor proposals to ensure all relevant costs are included and that the budget is accurate and comprehensive.

Person specification:

Essential:

• Experience of working in an office providing admin support, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience of management of spread sheets for budgeting, financial analysis and reporting
• Good digital communications skills - including writing emails, newsletters, and drafting web copy, demonstrating good written and oral communications skills in English
• Knowledge and experience of mass email tools and systems
• Experience in taking formal minutes or notes
• Ability to carry out instructions quickly and accurately
• Good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. About You:

With your proven experience of philanthropy fundraising, you’ll have personally secured 5 figure + gifts from a major donor. We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant at York Minster Fund for an initial fixed term contract of 12 months, commencing summer 2024. This part time, flexible role will support our team in administrative and fundraising tasks across a range of exciting activities and events, helping to raise funds for the Minster’s ongoing work.

Our ideal candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and confident communicator across different groups of people and keen to gain experience across projects and events. We are looking for someone with some demonstrable customer service/administrative/business experience and sound IT skills; as well as an enquiring mindset with a willingness to learn about the fascinating world of philanthropy, fundraising and conservation. 

York Minster Fund is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work. Established in 1967, as an emergency response to an urgent restoration project, we secure funds from charitable foundations, major and corporate donors, legacy donors, individuals and events. 

Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management. 

In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. As part of our small but highly experienced team, no two days are the same and the role could see you supporting with many different projects and tasks including donor events administration and delivery, correspondence and research.

There is some flexibility for home working, but we do need regular office attendance for this role in York.

This is an exciting time for the trusts team at Sue Ryder. Following a highly successful year, the team has grown its pool of supporters and is recruiting for one new member to join an existing team of four, including this post. As well as nurturing and reporting to loyal supporters, this role will focus on raising additional trust and foundation gifts of up to £10,000, helping us achieve our new organisational, five-year strategy.

About you:

A proactive fundraiser, with experience of cultivating and securing gifts up to £10,000 and a passion for building and maintaining support. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills and a talent for establishing rapport. You will relish connecting trust donors to brilliant projects that require funding and be motivated by the opportunity to maintain personalised relationships with them.

About the role:

This role plays an important part in cultivating and stewarding grant givers to support Sue Ryder’s work. It offers the post-holder the chance to increase their knowledge and experience through working on a wide range of local and national fundraising propositions. With a new strategy in place, innovative and much-needed services launching and supported by a friendly team, the role provides considerable scope for a fundraiser to develop in a successful and expanding national team.

When a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer, their whole world (and their family's) can feel like it's falling apart. Their anxieties are deep. Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their futures feel very uncertain. Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. They stop at nothing to make their voices heard and their unique needs understood, so they can get the right care and support at the right time.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. Your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with wealthy and/or influential individuals and senior volunteers, inspiring and motivating them to meet objectives as per their solicitation plans. Additionally, you will manage and inspire the Philanthropy Executive and support them in executing donor cultivation events. This role is all about strengthening the already existing relationships and using already established contacts to tap into new potential donors.

You will be able to write successful, inspiring, emotive, and detailed six-figure proposals, tailored to a major donor audience. Moreover, you will support the creation of a major donor development board or committee and work towards creating a better stewardship journey for supporters. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and can bring their expertise to help us achieve our goals.

About you

You are an experienced Philanthropy Fundraiser with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of securing significant grants, or you should be able to demonstrate transferable skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully soliciting donations and supporting senior volunteers and trustees to do so.

You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.

You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise workload. We are looking for someone who is creative in their thinking and who can apply problem-solving techniques when met with complex situations. A team player with strong cross-team working, influencing, and negotiation skills is essential.
