A well-established UK charity is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, this role will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Branding, Marketing & Fundraising business areas. You will provide insightful analysis, robust financial modelling and commercial challenge to support decision-making. A significant focus of the role will be developing and maintaining financial models to support income generation, fundraising initiatives, investment decisions and long-term planning.

Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Branding, Marketing and Fundraising functions, providing financial insight and support to drive performance and strategic decision-making.
- Develop, maintain and enhance complex financial models to support business cases, fundraising initiatives, investment decisions, scenario planning and long-term forecasting.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts, ensuring financial plans align with organisational objectives.
- Produce monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary, variance analysis and recommendations.
- Provide financial analysis and challenge to support income generation strategies, fundraising campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Support restricted fund management, donor reporting and funding pipeline analysis.
- Analyse key cost drivers, return on investment and campaign performance to support effective resource allocation.
- Build strong relationships with budget holders, providing ongoing support and guidance on financial management and planning.
- Present financial information to non-finance stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner, helping to drive informed decision-making.
- Ensure month-end and year-end activities are completed accurately and in accordance with organisational procedures.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments as required.
- Support the annual accounts process and liaise with external auditors where necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and business partnering across the organisation.
You will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
- Have strong Finance Business Partnering experience, ideally supporting commercial, marketing, fundraising or income-generating functions.
- Possess advanced financial modelling skills and be comfortable building, maintaining and presenting complex financial models.
- Have excellent budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Have experience interpreting complex financial data and communicating insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Be confident building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Have knowledge of charity accounting and SORP, or a strong interest in developing this expertise.
- Be proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
