HR Director

An exciting opportunity for an Interim Director of People to join one of the UK's largest providers of housing and social care.

The interim Director of People will be responsible for overseeing and leading on the delivery of the People Teams business as usual activities and the delivery of the People Plan priorities in addition to line management of the direct reports.

• Own and oversee the core HR systems & technology and ensure data integrity across all employee platforms working towards a goal of improving the employee self-service experience and a manager’s self-service platform.
• Continually improve the end-to-end employee experience, making the organisation an attractive and leading place to work in the industry.
• Work with the wider business to join-up and continuously improve the end-to-end people experience for our people and our clients.
• Review, report on and produce an improvement plan to improve the core basic people processes within the function.
• Promptly manage any underperformance within the team through line management.
• Create a clear set of delivery objectives for all line reports (specifically focusing on the People Operations).
• Oversee the ongoing key projects within the People Delivery Plan.
• Take responsibility for leading on any high level/complex Employee Relations.
• Shape and develop people initiatives, policies and processes balancing the need to improve the employee experience with commercial reality. Streamline process to make them more effective for the end user and to reduce heavy admin burdens within the team.
• Prepare and present papers for relevant committees (People & Culture Committee, Health & Safety Committee, Delivery Committee and Executive Board) as and when required.
