Senior Fundraising Officer

Nottingham, Nottingham (On-site)
£31,751
Full-time
Contract (Fixed term – 12 months (with potential for extension depending on funding))
Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Senior Fundraising Officer to join our External Relations team at Nottingham Women’s Centre. This is a brand-new role designed to help grow and diversify our income. It will especially have a focus on bringing in unrestricted funding to support the campaigns and communities strand of our work.

You’ll develop and deliver innovative fundraising strategies, using your communication and storytelling skills to engage supporters, attract donations, and build strong, lasting relationships with funders. You will need to be confident working across different platforms and audiences, with an ability to prioritise for maximum impact.

We’re looking for someone who truly understands the value of women’s services and can make the case for our approach to a wide range of audiences. This is a manager-level role, with the potential for line management responsibilities.

This role is an exciting opportunity to create real change for local women — and to be part of a supportive, values-driven team. Your work will play a vital part in making sure we can continue supporting women across Nottingham.

In addition, you will need to work as an effective team member in our small team and adhere to the Centre’s values, policies, and processes. You will need to participate in team meetings, and training and development opportunities as needed. The role will require you to be flexible and you may be asked carry out any other duties commensurate with this post.

  • It is an occupational requirement that applications are open to women only, as permitted and defined under Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and appropriate guidance.
  • As part of our anti-racism work we aim for 50% of shortlisted candidates to be from an ethnic minority. This positive action is being taken to further diversify our team. All shortlisted candidates must meet the essential minimum criteria which are marked with a * on the person specification.
  • We offer a generous amount of leave, opportunities for flexible working, personal development and a supportive working environment that includes access to an employee assistance programme.
  • This post is subject to completion of a three-month probationary period.
  • An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

Please Note: For this position you are required to complete an application form which you can download from our website or email jobs@nottingham womenscentre to request a form). We do not accept CV's.
