Facilities Officer 

Location: [Central London / Insert Location]
Contract: 4 week temp contract 
Start date: Monday 12 May
We’re looking for a practical, proactive Facilities Officer to support the smooth running of a prominent and historical public site that hosts a wide range of events and services. This is an immediate start role for 4 weeks to cover a busy period. The role combines day-to-day maintenance with hands-on event support — ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces safe, welcoming, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs 
•    Set up event spaces (e.g., arranging furniture, operating AV equipment, providing refreshments, signage).
•    Clear and reset rooms post-event (cleaning, equipment storage, rubbish disposal).
•    Support large-scale services and special events with venue preparation and logistics.
•    Liaise with external contractors, caterers, and service providers during events.
•    Keep external areas and entrances clean and presentable at all times.
What We're Looking For:
•    Experience in a facilities, caretaking, or event support role.
•    Comfortable with physical work, lifting, and working at height.
•    Basic skills in maintenance and repairs.
•    Good knowledge of AV/IT equipment setup or willingness to learn.
•    Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and self-motivation.
•    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
