Support Dogs is going through a period of exceptional growth including the development of a new centre of excellence in Sheffield. To truly be able to take the next step in our development, we are looking for a senior lead to oversee our puppy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part in transforming the lives of adults affected by epilepsy, physical disabilities and children with autism.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Puppy Co-ordinator to join our forward-thinking training department. The role will involve overseeing and supporting our puppy co-ordinators, ensuring that all our puppies and volunteers are being trained to the highest possible standards.
Recruitment, educating and supporting of new staff to ensure they can lone work both confidently and effectively are an essential part of this role, alongside ensuring the continued development of existing staff. In addition to this, the ability to support staff when difficult conversations or situations arise is also essential. The senior lead must have relevant qualifications and experience in training and behaviour as advising on training and behavioural issues will be required, with the ability to support individuals on writing and implementing suitable behaviour modification plans.
As senior lead you will be expected to oversee and ensure targets are being reached on a yearly basis, ability to review success rates and how we can increase this, provide relevant reports to the Training Manager and can consider and propose new procedures which improves both our training standards and success rates further.

This role is a full-time position and will require flexibility in working hours, please note some evenings and occasional weekend work will be required.
