Coventry College is the largest provider of further education in the city, delivering a broad and vibrant curriculum encompassing provision from entry level to higher education. About the role

We are seeking to appoint a senior, strategically-minded professional with experience of the education sector to our board. Through this process, we hope to identify individuals who are not only successful within their professional capacities, but those that share in the values of our organisation. We hope to receive applications from individuals who understand the importance of putting our learners first, who are inclusive, ambitious and those that strive for excellence whilst always remaining respectful.

We believe that the demonstration of these values, coupled with a successful professional track record and a belief in the power of education will allow our new governor to offer the appropriate level of challenge and ask questions of us to prosper, now and into the future.

Who we are looking for

We seek to appoint an experienced education professional who may have experience in a number of different areas:

• Curriculum development
• Quality improvement
• Student experience and student services
• Student recruitment

Whilst we welcome applications from candidates with direct experience of FE provision, we are also conscious of the need for diversity of thought across our Board. Therefore, we would also welcome applications from those based in other sectors, such as leaders of higher education, secondary phase provision, those working in more specialist educational provision, as well as those who are based in other relevant roles inside and outside the education sector.
