Child Support Volunteer - Female Only (Tower Hamlets)

Do you have experience in looking after children with SEN? We are looking for a volunteer who ideally has a qualification and a Paediatric First Aid training certificate to support with facilitating activities within our Tower Hamlets refuge whilst mums attend activities, meetings or take time for self-care! Your support will make a massive difference and enable mums the time to develop their skills and explore their interests.

What you will be doing

• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Entertaining children with provided toys and small activities such as colouring or puzzles etc..
• Ensuring the children are kept safe

The skills you need

• Calm and patient approach
• Experience in childcare preferred
• Working knowledge of child safeguarding preferred
• Ability to provide a supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and participation
• Good communication skills
• Paediatric First Aider - Desired
