Communications Assistant
We are delighted to be supporting an international environmental organisation in their search for a Communications Assistant to join their External Affairs team. This is a full-time role, offered on a temporary basis, for 3-months in the first instance and 1-day per week onsite in Central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for using strategic media to support purpose-led campaigns.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
- Supporting the communications and digital teams with campaign materials, media monitoring, and process documentation.
- Assisting with the creation and updating of briefing documents, guidelines, and key messaging.
- Researching journalists and media outlets to support high-profile legal cases.
- Setting up and managing media monitoring platforms and dashboards.
- Responding to supporter enquiries and contributing to year-end appeal efforts.
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- Fluent English (CEFR level C2) and strong written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva.
- Knowledge of the media landscape and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage confidential information.
- A genuine interest in environmental issues and alignment with the organisation's values.
