At Guardian Light Foundation, we value transparency, honesty, and integrity in everything we do. As a member of our Board of Directors, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization and advancing our mission to support homeless children who have faced harassment and abuse.
Expectations of All Board Members:

This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Commit a minimum of 20 hours per month to board service and foundation activities.

Actively participate in fundraising activities and make personal donations to the foundation.

Represent Guardian Light Foundation publicly by attending events, presentations, and networking opportunities as an ambassador of the foundation.

Assist in developing new policies, strategies, and programs for the foundation.

Contribute your skills (e.g., marketing, fundraising, accounting, policy creation) to strengthen the foundation’s impact.

Attend all scheduled board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making.

Uphold the values of transparency, honesty, accountability, and compassion.
The Guardian Light Foundation Board will run collaboratively, with all members expected to take ownership of initiatives, contribute equally, and act in the best interest of the children we serve.
Position: Board of Director - Marketing Expert (Unpaid Volunteer Role)
Reports to: Board Chairperson
Location: Hybrid (remote + in-person events as needed)
Overview:
Board members at Guardian Light Foundation provide strategic direction, policy development, fundraising support, and public advocacy to advance the foundation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in policy development and governance of the foundation.

Dedicate at least 20 hours per month toward board and foundation activities.

Support fundraising efforts by contributing personally and leveraging networks.

Serve as an ambassador by representing the foundation publicly at events, presentations, and networking opportunities.

Offer skills and expertise in areas such as marketing, web design, fundraising, accounting, and technology, teachers, healthcare professionals and solicitors/lawyers.

Ensure accountability, transparency, and ethical governance within the foundation.
Qualifications:

Passion for helping vulnerable children, teenagers and single--parent families

Experience with working with vulnerable children, teenagers and single--parent families
-
Willingness to actively engage in fundraising and advocacy.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
Ability to commit the required time and responsibilities.
