Local Partnerships Communications Manager

Are you an experienced Communications Manager with a passion for the environment? Our client is an independent not-for-profit organisation on a mission to stop electricals being hoarded and thrown away, and ensure they’re reused and recycled instead.

Prospectus are delighted to be searching for this broad and varied role which contributes to the vision of the organisation where materials are never wasted.  As the Local Partnerships Communications Manager you will bring your marketing, communications and PR skillset to help plan and successfully deliver a variety of initiatives.  Bringing your great organisational capability along with your creativity to evolve how the organisation engage partners.  You will lead local marketing, PR and communications initiatives. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced communications professional with an interest in sustainability and behaviour change.  It’s likely that you will have experience of communicating to B2C audiences and hold experience of working with local or funded pilots.  You will be experienced with using social media tools including (Hootsuite, Canva), media monitoring (Cision). Other programmes used within the role are Google Suite, Active Campaign (email marketing, CRM relationship database,  Hootsuite, Canva (social media tools), Monday (project management),  Adobe Creative Cloud - photoshop and InDesign.

Experience in the environmental sector isn’t required, but this role is ideal for someone passionate about creating a positive impact on the planet and driven to make a meaningful difference through their work. The successful applicant will be highly organised and used to working in a fast-paced environment. 

Hybrid role - minimum one day a week in the office in Victoria.
