Birmingham Museums Trading Limited (BMTL) is the commercial engine behind Birmingham Museums Trust’s ambition to become a more sustainable and financially resilient organisation. Through innovative paid experiences, retail, hospitality, venue hire and commercial partnerships, BMTL generates vital income that directly supports Birmingham Museums Trust and its work caring for world-class collections and operating nine museum sites across the city. 

Birmingham Museums Trust (BMT) is an independent charity entrusted with managing internationally significant, accredited and designated collections that tell the story of Birmingham and beyond. Income generated through BMTL helps the Trust continue delivering inspiring cultural experiences while building a more independent future that creates social, cultural and economic value for Birmingham’s communities and visitors alike.

We are recruiting a new Chair and Director of our Trading company (who will also serve as a Trustee on the Board of Birmingham Museums Trust) as well as up to three additional Directors to sit on the Trading company.

This is a critical and exciting time to join the Trading company and drive forward the success Birmingham Museums Trading Limited that supports the wider work of Birmingham Museums Trust.
