Corporate Performance: A growing number of companies and financial institutions are seeking to mitigate their impacts on nature. But many have made commitments that are not being met, and others are failing to take any action at all. Through our Corporate Performance work and Forest 500 project, we assess the policies and performance of influential companies and financial institutions. Our newly launched Deforestation Action Tracker monitors financial institutions with significant climate commitments to track their action on deforestation and associated human rights abuses.

We also support financial institutions and investors by providing a suite of guidance including our Deforestation-free finance Roadmap, Pensions Guidance and our Deforestation-free investment mandate. And we support the finance sector, policy makers and other stakeholders by providing market-leading data on deforestation and ESG metrics through our Forest IQ project. 

You will be part of a leading, multinational, multidisciplinary, and multilingual team of experts, delivering this exciting program in a way that is effective, manageable and fun! We value diversity, inclusivity and creativity at the core of what we do.

This role sits in the Forest IQ team, along with a Research Associate, a Project Manager and the Forest IQ Lead. The Researcher will take on responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Forest IQ data held in its database, including the implementation of updates and ensuring the smooth addition of new datasets and indicators.  Alongside other research responsibilities required of the role, you will draw insights from this research which inform Global Canopy’s work and provide content for communication products and engagement strategies.

• Knowledge of relevant IT packages including everyday office suites.

• Depending on the area of research, knowledge and use of GIS, R-scripts, statistical testing/data analysis software would be an advantage. 

• Depending on the research area, if you have knowledge of languages other than English, in particular Portuguese, Spanish or Bahasa Indonesian, there could be opportunities to use them.

ActionAid UK is seeking a passionate and dedicated Supporter Communications Specialist to join our dynamic and values-driven team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing content. You must have a willingness to travel internationally and be able to handle complex relationships and drive change within your role. Your expertise in Direct Marketing programs, particularly Child Sponsorship, will be utilized to develop innovative direct marketing programmes,  internal skills and awareness of this key organisational product. In this role, you will also have the chance to work with a wide range of channels and activities, including digital, mail, and telephone, to create supporter-focused communications that create an emotional connection with our supporters. You will use your deep knowledge and expertise to assess and select content that best represents AAUK and our development achievements. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating compelling and high-quality final copy for our Child Sponsorship, Next Step, and Regular Giving programs.

New Horizon provides a range of Youth Work opportunities for young people experiencing homelessness. One stream of work is our Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team. The JET team support with young people to support them into meaningful and appropriate employment, training opportunities, apprenticeships, volunteering, and education.

In this role, you will work with young people 1-1, holding small caseloads, as well as working with young people in groups and delivering employment or education-focussed sessions on a regular basis.

As part of our service, we also aim to deliver a weekly group conversation class for young people looking to improve their spoken English, many of whom are young refugees and asylum seekers. While you will work with all young people in the service and support regularly with our day centre delivery, this role will focus on expanding our JET service to young refugees and asylum seekers, developing specialist networks and partnerships, and pathways to appropriate opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Food Bank realise it’s vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy creating a network of affordable food clubs, financial inclusion projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity – whilst working alongside it’s eight existing foodbank welcome centres.

Reporting to the Development Director, you’ll carry out key administrative tasks, growing the support and development function of the Charity; including stewardship communications with individual donors and creating assets for community supporters to generate food and financial resources. With the support of external consultants, you will assist the securing of income from grant giving trusts and foundations.

Main Duties:

● Develop strong individual donor relations through regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, alongside establishing the associated data and systems; growing supporters.

● Create community development assets, which enables community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as for charitable fundraising / food donation events.

● Together with the Development Director, secure income from, and maintain relations with grant giving trusts and foundations, including working alongside external consultants.

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a People and Onboarding Assistant to join our team.

You'll be responsible for ensuring successful candidates are onboarded in a personal and effective manner befitting AaA. You'll also participate with people support process queries such as staff changes, leavers, early stage policy queries as well as be engaged on supporting people strategy projects led by People Team colleagues.

You'll provide an excellent candidate experience when responding to onboarding queries and with staff when responding to HR/People support queries. You'll conduct onboarding checks, such as requesting references, processing DBS applications and right to work information, as well as maintaining accurate HR documents, records and databases, developing a strong understanding of our HR information systems.

We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our small but mighty team, that enjoy working together to support our voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector here in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This is a new role to deliver projects to raise our profile, enhance our brand visibility, drive engagement, raise income and help us to develop positive relationships with our key stakeholders and audiences. This role would suit a graduate and is an entry-level position into communications and marketing.

The successful applicant will provide day-to-day communications, media, and events support to the wider organisation and promote our service delivery and coordination of our communication inbox.

This role will be mainly home-based, but you must be based in Cornwall and able to attend regular team meetings and events as necessary.

Cornwall VSF’s role is to connect, support and promote the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have strong productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in Cornwall including a range of public sector organisations.

We represent the VCSE on all executive Boards ensuring the VCSE voice remains clear and influential. We broker and facilitate VCSE partnership working through our strategic, thematic, and local alliances.

We undertake surveys, consultation events, facilitate issue-based workstreams etc. to raise consciousness of the issues, barriers and constraints facing the VCSE sector. Collectively we can positively affect change and bring about transformation.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Survivor Advocate to support survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of referral, to provide high quality, independent advocacy and support. The framework will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care partners to reach VCSE organisations.

About Us

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.  

The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is that will be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector. 

This is a really exciting time to join the Alliance and support the delivery of a new innovative process which has the potential to be transformative for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. 

The Role:

The VCSE Brokerage Administrator's role is to support the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the VCSE Brokerage Framework. The role will work closely with the soon to be recruited VCSE Brokerage Manager and the current VCSE Alliance team. Ensuring that we have a clear, efficient and effective administrative process for the Brokerage Framework will be fundamental to its success.

About You

We're looking for someone who has experience of working in an administrative role who can bring a high level of competency, efficiency and organisation. You'll need to be able to work independently and use your own initiative at times, whilst being able to work with colleagues from multiple organisations.

You are an organised individual with a successful track record of administration and project support. Your skills include:
