We are looking for a responsible and competent administrator to provide high level and timely administrative support to the work of the Safeguarding Team of the Methodist Church.

To be considered for this role, you will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with good time management and organisation skills. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in handling highly confidential and sensitive information

You will work flexibly as part of the Safeguarding admin team, providing support to the Safeguarding management team in all areas of safeguarding activity, including organising meetings, room bookings, supporting, tracking and monitoring DBS renewals, coordinating information relating to safeguarding training, including communications and our website information

The ability to engage with and use effectively various web-based software tools is desirable. Logistics and event management experience is also beneficial. The nature of this role requires resilience to be able to cope with safeguarding matters and a willingness to work with the values and ethos of the Methodist Church.

The role

The Head of Philanthropy and Capital Campaign will lead a high-performing team responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic income from major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. A key focus will be overseeing the delivery of the new £50 million capital campaign, Join the Future, to fund the construction of the Royal Free London Cancer Centre.
 
This role requires a strategic thinker and relationship-builder with a deep understanding of high-value fundraising. You will play a hands-on role in securing transformational gifts, working closely with senior stakeholders, Campaign Development Board members, trustees, clinicians, and the wider fundraising team.

Role Overview:
Our Sport and Inclusion Tutor will lead, deliver and develop our intervention programmes, focusing on mentoring young people accessing our Tackle LIFE and Be You programmes. They will bring a wealth of teaching or youth work to our charity and use this experience to support some of the county’s most vulnerable young people. A normal week would include tutoring, sports delivery, and activities such as rock climbing and canoeing. It will also involve project management, as well as classroom coaching such as leadership and communication activities and working with the wider Foundation team to grow our reach in the local community. 

The Person:

Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and design of our education and intervention programmes Tackle LIFE and Be You,
focusing on personal development, as well as physical and mental wellbeing.
- Create and deliver a range of high quality and engaging sports sessions and workshops for all ages, both classroom and practical activities, following structured curriculum appropriate content written by Blues Foundation.
- Have a strong understanding and experience with young people on a range of levels. Delivery will engage young people with some behavioral and/or emotional challenges, as well as some special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Project manage elements of our programmes, planning and preparing for each session, including liaising and negotiating with internal and external partners.
- Provide CPD to team members, supporting their understanding of delivery to a range of audiences.
- Practice high standards of health and safety and safeguarding, and understand the protocols and procedures needed to provide a safe and inclusive session.
- Proactively seek opportunities to grow their area of work and drive income into the charity through services.
- Responsible for data collection and report in all projects associated to their delivery programmes, including weekly report writing to schools.
- Work with our Education Manager and lead Blues Foundation holiday camps, providing high quality 
coaching and provision.
- Promote Blues Foundation at local events and play a key role within our fundraising initiatives, providing valuable support during events and campaigns to drive donations to our charity, this includes matchday activities where appropriate. 
- The successful candidate should also understand the relationship with Bedford Blues RFC and Blues 
Foundation.
- Carry out other duties for Blues Foundation as and when required by management, not limited to the above.

Responsible to:
- The Sport and Inclusion Tutor will report to our Education Manager. The role will be based at various
locations around Bedford and surrounding areas, therefore the ability to travel is essential. 

Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in mentoring young people with a range of needs and managing complex behaviour issues.
- Experience of delivering inclusive sporting activities to children with a range of disabilities ranging from mild to complex.
- Experience of delivering sport in Primary, Middle and Secondary School environments.
- Experience in delivering a wide variety of high-quality classroom and practical based activities, as well as flexibility to adapt to the needs and challenges presented by the variety of young people.
- Experience and ability to communicate professionally across different levels including young people, school and college professionals, funders, and other key partners.
- Ability to deliver to a high standard and to the values of Blues Foundation, as well as an ability to contribute to wider work and impact of Blues Foundation.
- Ability to work and deliver in a team environment, as well as individually. The successful candidate should be motivated, demonstrate a positive attitude towards the work of the Foundation.
- Understanding and/or experience in the education sector, secondary experience is desirable.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and learners.

Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent level qualification desirable but not essential.
- QTS, PGCE or other teaching qualifications would be desirable.
- Level 2 coaching award or equivalent experience.
- Full and clean driving license. 
- Valid Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications desirable.

Northumberland Domestic Abuse Service

NDAS provides support to all victims who have been the subject of domestic abuse/violence, supports them through the criminal justice system and offers relevant advice and assistance, both practical and emotional. 

NDAS empowers victims to make decisions, increase their options, their confidence and safety.  Prevention and awareness raising activities are also delivered across Northumberland and counselling to the children of our service users.

Established in 2003, NDAS has a track record of providing excellent services and is a key member of domestic abuse provision in Northumberland.  We have a secure financial foundation and are looking forward to developing our team to continue to provide essential services in tackling domestic abuse.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide practical and emotional support to victims of domestic abuse/violence; including supporting them through the criminal justice system and providing guidance and assistance.  The role also involves empowering victims to make decisions, increase their options, their confidence and safety.

 

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing service delivery and performance

Provide an efficient, effective outreach service to all victims of domestic abuse/violence across Northumberland.

Establish the risks and the needs of the individual and deliver a service appropriate to that level of risk.

Develop and deliver individual support and risk management plans to address the risk of harm to victims.

Work with multi-agency partnerships with local agencies whose services victims may require, ensuring a coordinated community response.

Work in partnership with other agencies and to advocate for victims to ensure their needs are met.

Explain the intricacies of the criminal justice and family court systems to victims and give advice on how to proceed at different stages of the process.

Ensure that victims are aware of their rights to legal protection and to arrange for the provision of legal advice as required and accompany victims to appointments if appropriate.

Ensure the safety of the victim is paramount.

Attend MARAC meetings when needed, Case Conference, Core Groups and CAF meetings when required.

Liaise with other agencies as appropriate. Deliver training to colleagues and other professionals.

Work within Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services management system following all policies and procedures.

Provide statistical monitoring or reports as required to the planning officer.

Note and feedback to other agencies any consistent difficulties clients are having accessing their service.

Provide a service, which is sensitive to all cultural and other differences and needs.

Ensure that the views and experiences of the victims and agencies are sought actively and inform the development of the service.

Report any problems/difficulties/complaints to the Team Manager or CEO and participate in follow up investigations as required.

Managing Security

 

Maintain the security and well-being of victims of domestic abuse and to communicate immediately with the Team Manager/CEO any concerns regarding security.

Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries and security, when working with service users, staff and external bodies.

General Duties

Contribute to the overall development of Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services, by attending team meetings and participate in training and development working groups as agreed by the post-holder and CEO. This will include training specific to working with victims of domestic abuse.

Contribute to the overall development of Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services, by the implementation of Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services. Develop effective and supporting working relationships with all Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services staff.

Contribute to the overall development of Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services, by adhering to Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services policies and procedures including equal opportunities and health and safety when meeting the needs of service users. Assist in and maintain effective communication, which promotes free flow of non-confidential information and issues within Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services, other agencies and members of the public.

The Opportunity

You will play a crucial role in supporting employees across ImpactEd Group, its trading subsidiaries, and associated companies (including TEP Services Limited). As part of the Shared Services team, you will manage and improve operational and finance systems and processes, enable employees to work efficiently, and provide high-quality management information, compliance support, and organisational oversight.

You will also play a key role in supporting the design and successful delivery of core commercial operational processes. This includes:

• Supporting Managing Directors and Sales Teams with the tracking and progression of leads and opportunities within our CRM system;

• Assisting in financial management, forecasting, utilisation analysis, and margin reporting;

The key purpose of the post is to be responsible for void property works to ensure units are ready for occupation at sites across Dartford, Woolwich, Romford, Greenwich, Tunbridge Wells & Brentwood. Role Description

The Programmes Executive plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme across the school year. They will support the design and delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact within the project timeline. 

The Programmes Executive will report to the Programmes Manager, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship management 

• Provide ongoing support to schools throughout their time on the programme, building strong working relationships with participating schools. 

• Support communication with all schools, providing a point of contact for the coordinator and lead teacher in each school. 

• Support monitoring and evaluation through creation of surveys, ensuring completion of baseline and end of year surveys, and analysis of data submitted (working with our Evaluation Manager).

• Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of our termly newsletter, highlighting school achievements, amplifying youth voices, and inspiring action across our network.

• Provide timely responses to school queries, manage a shared inbox and alert the Programmes Manager of any potential risks.

• Proactively seek feedback from teachers and young people on our programmes 

• Ensure opportunities for schools to engage in at least two one-on-one meetings with our team during the school year.

Community management 

• Celebrate and share examples of best practice and impactful social action projects amongst our community of schools. 

• Deliver training and webinars for schools.

• Manage and grow engagement with school groups through our social media platforms, fostering a sense of community and promoting active participation.

• Grow our movement - supporting the recruitment of future cohorts by promoting the Bite Back in Schools programme, distributing recruitment comms, holding set up calls with interested schools, and guiding schools through the application and enrolment process, working closely with the Programmes Manager on the design of these processes.

Programme delivery 

• Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include elements including meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns. 

• Schedule and deliver assemblies with schools partaking in the programme.

• Ensure schools submit invoices on time as part of their grant funding, providing support where needed and coordinating with the finance team to ensure prompt processing.

• Book and arrange assemblies, coordinating between schools and our Bite Back Ambassadors.

• Support the School Ambassadors with travel logistics as they deliver assemblies in schools across England and Scotland.

• Maintain and regularly update programme management software and associated data to ensure accurate and up to date information for all participating schools.

• Ensure successful end-to-end support for the 100+ schools participating in the programme throughout the next school year.

Project support 

• Provide support to Programme Manager in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.

• Assist in the delivery of the Local Authority programme, including traveling as needed to facilitate workshops and provide support to the team’s operational requirements.

• Provide support for the primary school pilot programme and contribute to the creation and development of engaging resources tailored for primary school use.

• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior team members.
