Job description
The Advice & Wellbeing Team at KCLSU are looking for a Triage and Administration Assistant to be the first point of contact for our vital service for student's at KCL.
As the Triage and Administrative Assistant, it is your role to support the KCLSU Advice service to deliver high quality support to students who need help with issues impacting their studies. This will be done by ensuring excellent management of the Advice shared inbox, consistent record keeping using our case management system and communicating with both students and staff about our service. KCLSU Advice often supports students experiencing difficult circumstances and so as a team, we work effectively and empathetically.
You will need to be confident in understanding complex policy and processes to ensure students are triaged appropriately and efficiently, enabling advisors to provide timely and tailored support.

- Supporting and completing a variety of administrative tasks relating to the KCLSU Advice service, in particular triage and casework.
- Maintaining accurate and consistent record keeping including using the Case Management System
- Administrate the KCLSU Advice inbox including processing referrals, removing duplicates, providing initial responses and flagging urgent queries.
- Representing KCLSU Advice at occasional outreach events to raise awareness of our service and educate students on the support offered.
- Provide administrative support for the Student Panel Volunteer project and any other relevant KCLSU Advice related projects
- Developing and maintaining up to date knowledge of the Advice Service procedures and practices and incorporate them into work effectively.
- Being a proactive and solution focused team member to support the service to meet student needs, particularly during busy periods.
