About the Role:

The role of the Domestic Abuse Team Leader is to provide operational support and management to a team of Independent Domestic Violence advisors (IDVAs) that provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse in Cumbria. This will include those at the highest risk of harm and victims of rape and serious sexual assault.

To be successful in this role you will be flexible and proactive, have knowledge and experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting. A proven track record of managing a team delivering services of similar nature and scope, including performance management and staff development is essential. You will have experience of voluntary and statutory agencies, including a good understanding of the criminal justice, health and social care sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments

• Liaise with school staff over referrals, waiting lists and appointments

The school opened its doors in January 2023 for autistic children, originally in temporary accommodation.  Children and staff have just moved into a permanent purpose-built school . The school roll is currently 47 increasing to 70 in the next academic year.

The Hawthorns House, where the residential provision will be offered, is situated in a brand-new purpose-built house with 10 bedrooms next to the site of the school. The build is due to be completed in Summer 2025.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become part of and contribute to a new residential staff team. We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and committed Residential Team Members. These positions involve working with autistic children aged 7-16 years.  The residential provision will cater for 10 pupils, with a gradual transition to its full capacity as the residential team develops.

The vision for the residential provision is to provide pupils with further opportunities to grow, learn, achieve and aspire to become participants in our local community. Our mission is to achieve this through secure relationships with residential staff in an environment providing outstanding care, to build the basis for a fulfilling life for children with autism.

You will need to be able to work as part of a team as well as being self-led and motivated. It will be a fast-paced and fun environment. You must be caring, fair and nurturing to enable our children to develop positive and trusting relationships. There will be a strong emphasis on supporting self-regulation, confidence and effective communication.

You will be expected to contribute to, facilitate and review plans in place for each child which will reflect their ECHPs, working closely with the Head of Residential Care to ensure a collaborative approach with The Hawthorns School. You will be supporting people on the telephone, by text or email from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.

Job Purpose

The Operations & Project Manager will oversee planning, project delivery, and commercial operations, ensuring that St Bride Foundation continues to fulfil its mission while growing its financial sustainability. This role is instrumental in managing strategic initiatives, optimizing processes, and leading teams to ensure efficient operations across venue hire, theatre management, and other income-generating activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Project Management

· Develop and maintain Gantt charts, project timelines, and key performance indicators for organisational initiatives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Team Manager to work with an innovative and friendly multidisciplinary team at our purpose built London Centre and gardens. You will manage and coordinate a team of highly skilled and dedicated clinicians, in the service delivery of a range of NICE guideline recommended therapy interventions, offered to our clients, who are survivors of torture and organised violence.

You will report to the Head of Clinical Services, London and operate as an integral part of the London Clinical Services Team. This is an exciting chance to join us as we place survivor empowerment and movement building at the heart of our four year strategy, and work together to increase the number of clients who can access our services. It is based in a centre specifically designed to be a safe and welcoming environment for survivors and includes gardens and growing facilities.

About the role

This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:

• To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists. This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision to clinicians in our other regional centres (North West England and Scotland).
• To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.
• Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit based services.
• To formulate and negotiate psychological treatment and management plans for referred clients and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service in line with the new clinical model "Pathways" (drawing on a range of evidence-based models for the presenting problems of the clients).
• Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.

To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.

Our policy is that all appointments will be at the start of the salary range but successful candidates will have the opportunity to move up the scale over time. The progression up the salary range is reviewed on an annual basis and subject to affordability. For this role, the salary range is £59,937 - £69,527 per annum.

The Marketing and Digital Content Lead will work within the marketing team to create new content and input into marketing planning and strategy, for Ethical Consumer, the UK’s longest running alternative consumer organisation.

Specific responsibilities

* The Marketing and Communications Executive will work within the marketing team to create new content and input into marketing planning and strategy. You will be supported in learning how to do this if needed.

* The role will involve using our social media channels (Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube) to engage our audience, with a focus on developing our YouTube channel.

* This involves creating infographics, social media posts, and planning video content (currently working alongside freelancers on video production) to help promote our content to new audiences.

* The successful applicant will also be writing web copy based on our guides and other marketing copy as needed. Training and support is available for this.

* They will also assist with creating email campaigns and user engagement surveys where needed.

* Training can be given to enable the successful applicant to manage more technical aspects of EC's social media, including monitoring performance using existing site monitors and analytics and understanding search engine optimisation.

* The successful applicant will be expected to work on their own initiative and have a strategic way of thinking of comms in order to help deliver our marketing strategy.

An exciting opportunity has been created for someone who is strategic, creative and passionate about youth services to work across Barnsley.  The new role will be employed by Barnsley Community and Voluntary Services but will work to develop the role, identity and strategy of Barnsley’s Youth Alliance.

Barnsley Youth Alliance currently has a membership of xx youth charities in Barnsley and they are in a pivotal period which requires the skills of a dedicated staff member to help the group navigate how they develop their constitution, their influence across Barnsley and the growth of youth services where there are gaps or barriers.  You will be responsible for coordinating the youth alliance, establishing the governance, coordinating and shaping bids for funding, designing communication methods, representing the alliance to key stakeholders and working with partners and young people to co-produce a well-rounded youth service offer for Barnsley.  You will need excellent communication and literacy skills, strong knowledge of governance and strategy and the ability to understand the needs and voices of a wide range of stakeholders.  You will be comfortable with innovative thinking, navigating political or challenging conversations and working with young people and the VCSE sector.
