Job description

We are working in partnership with Kith & Kids, a small North London based charity. Their aim is to empower families who have children (aged from 10 through to middle-aged adults) with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities, or autism to overcome social isolation, access the services they need or to join in the activities Kith & Kids offers.

Previous winners of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary service by groups in the community, Kith & Kids provides innovative, high-quality projects and services with the support of volunteers. It’s the difference between disabled members watching from the sidelines while others have fun and being able to join in that fun and experience the enjoyment themselves.

The board of trustees are looking for a special individual who is eager to be part of the next phase of this wonderful Charity’s development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience within the disability field.
  • Clear leadership and people-management skills, including the ability to manage, develop and motivate a small staff team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy.
  • Ability to foster strong working partnerships with key funders, trusts and corporate sector, including a strong track record in researching and preparing grant applications.
  • Sound financial acumen, ability to set/manage budgets, comfortable having financial oversight/control of the Charity.

The successful candidate will have energy, integrity, and adaptability, with innate compassion, sensitivity and good humour. These qualities inspire trust and confidence in the CEO amongst disabled members, their families, the staff team, volunteers, and trustees.

You will be a first-class communicator, with excellent organisational and time-management skills.

*A DBS will be required for the successful candidate*

If you feel you have the experience to join this Charity, we would like to hear from you.  For more information, please contact Sandra Smith, at Charisma Charity Recruitment.
