Spotlight’s team consists of an Executive Director, Deputy Director, Head of Finance & Operations, Senior Policy & Campaign Lead, Senior Advocacy Adviser, Senior Communications Advisor, and Senior Policy Researcher. The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. In the six years since it was established, Spotlight has had significant trust fundraising success and established strong relationships with institutional funders who understand our work and its impact. Under a new three year strategy we are seeking to sustainably grow and diversify our funding base - across trusts and foundations and by establishing a major donor programme to enable us to increase our impact.

We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.

In this role you will have strategic accountability for fundraising and overseeing progress towards fundraising targets, working with the team and the Board to generate ideas and deliver proposals for raising funds, and for highlighting our impact to potential donors. You will be a hands-on fundraiser, who builds relationships with donors, keeps on top of developments in the funding landscape, develops compelling and creative pitches and proposals for funders, and as a result delivers sustainable income generation to ensure Spotlight achieves our organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on executing Spotlight’s fundraising strategy and donor management

• Identify, maintain and develop a robust pipeline of prospects and funders across high-net-worth individuals, trusts and foundations and other appropriate giving vehicles

• Nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective trusts and foundations, high net-worth individuals and Donor-Advised Funds

• Work with the team to develop exciting ideas to pitch to funders and to highlight our impact, as well as identifying funding gaps and opportunities

• Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure trust funding for specific projects and core activities

• Work effectively and collaboratively with the wider team, Executive Director and Board to deliver the fundraising strategy and embed fundraising confidence and process across the team

Person specification - essential criteria

• A creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and generate new opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the corporate fundraising programme at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, Director of Development, and Brand & Marketing Manager. 

• Deliver an ambitious corporate partnerships strategy that supports both regional (aligned with Roald Dahl Nurse locations) and national growth. 

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the Fundraising and Communications team, supporting the charity’s broader income and engagement goals. 

• Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Fundraising Executive 

Corporate Partnership Development 

• Identify, research, package and secure high-value corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and employee fundraising opportunities. 

• Proactively grow and manage the new business pipeline, forecasting income and tracking likelihood of success, ensuring alignment with agreed income targets. 

• Build creative, compelling cases for support and deliver inspirational, tailored pitches and proposals to senior corporate audiences. 

• Horizon scan to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging sectors, working closely with the Programmes Team to align fundraising opportunities with service delivery and impact. 

Account Management & Stewardship 

• Deliver high-quality relationship management for all existing corporate partners, ensuring clear communication, excellent stewardship, and sustained engagement, with support from the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and other senior staff as needed. 

• Create and implement bespoke fundraising plans and incentives to support multi-year, mutually beneficial partnerships. 

• Prepare engaging, tailored assets and communications including proposals, presentations, impact reports and updates for corporate supporters. 

• Represent the charity confidently at meetings and events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. 

Performance & Financial Management 

• Track, analyse and report on income, ROI, and engagement across all corporate partnerships. 

• Manage the corporate fundraising income and expenditure, reporting performance against forecasts. 

• Maintain oversight of all contractual agreements and partnership terms for corporate partnerships and cause-related marketing. 

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support 

• Work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Communications team to deliver a calendar of corporate fundraising events, campaigns, and activity. 

• Contribute content and stories to the charity’s website, newsletter, annual review, and other external communications. 

• Ensure strong collaboration with the Programmes Team to develop impactful narratives. 

• Support the maintenance of accurate records on Beacon, ensuring all corporate fundraising activity is logged in our CRM system.

Oversee the success of our Networks and Groups for staff from hospices across the UK, ensuring they remain coordinated, consistent and informed by experts and evidence. 

Collaborate closely with subject matter experts across the charity, to help deliver plan and deliver these virtual groups, which involve multiple hospice staff and external stakeholders across different subject areas.

Deliver and grow our integral Big Conversations series, which brings the hospice sector together on the biggest issues of the day.

We’re looking for someone who takes a consistent project management approach to leading virtual networks and large online meetings/webinars. Building strong internal and external relationships will be vital.

You might be working in the charity sector already, or bring strong technical experience delivering virtual events or online membership networks from other sectors. You don’t need to have a background in healthcare.

You’ll join a close, 16-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK, made up of experienced clinicians, sector-leading project and event managers, and specialists in evidence and research. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme

Your role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant managing of our premises, IT systems and some HR functions.

We are now looking for our first Executive Director, Commercial to bring together income generation, brand and marketing, digital innovation, data, and business development into one strategic and values-led portfolio. We are seeking someone who combines strong commercial acumen with mission-driven leadership: a strategic thinker who can build and lead high-performing teams, collaborate across disciplines, and engage credibly with senior stakeholders.

About the Role

As our Housing Coordinator you will ensure The Angelou Centre’s refuge accommodations continue to be a safe and welcoming safe for women. You will ensure we comply with statutory building, property and Health & Safety obligations. You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing tenancy-related matters, and supporting the wellbeing of women and children accessing our refuge services. You will also line mange our Refuge and Housing Support Workers and our Haven Finance Officer

Our ideal candidate is someone who;

• Is compassionate, non-judgmental and committed to supporting survivors of domestic abuse
• Has experience of working within property, housing or facilities management
• Has excellent knowledge within health & safety, building and property UK regulations
• Has line management experience

Role Overview

Contract: Full-time Permanent,

with possibility of extension subject to funding

Salary: £30,303 to £35,781.20 (per hour £16.65 to £19.66)

 Key Responsibilities

 Refuge Management

• Ensure that the refuge (dispersed accommodation) provides a safe supportive and welcoming environment in compliance with UK housing laws and the requirements of registered social landlords.
• To ensure completion of all necessary forms including housing and welfare benefit forms. 
• To liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and networks, e.g. Housing Benefit -Networks/Housing agencies 
• Action any breaches of leases or tenancy agreements promptly and efficiently to ensure compliance with lease/tenancy obligations.
• Proactively address any arrears in a timely fashion and take appropriate action to recover debts.
• Working as a key part of our management team, supporting the Executive Director with planning, monitoring, evaluation and development planning
• Encouraging a positive and supportive environment in the refuge, ensuring that women’s and children’s voices are heard and central to our services
• Working in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations, including Local Authorities and Children’s Social Care and other external agencies, keeping up to date with local resources and services available
• Ensuring any safeguarding issues for children or vulnerable adults are raised immediately as per our safeguarding policies
• To provide business development support in order to grow and develop The Angelou’s refuge services

Health & Safety

• Taking the lead in all Health & Safety issues for the Refuge service, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, with responsibility for risk assessments, accident reporting, fire safety, repairs and maintenance issues etc,
• To update policies to align with changing requirements.
• To provide technical support on property-related problems.
• To undertake site inspections and to write follow up reports and action plans.
• To maintain the property database.

Line Management

• Engaging all team members in regular service reviews to promote best practice
• Managing and participating in the on-call support rota, responding to emergencies outside office hours on a rota basis
• Ensure staff are fully trained and able to carry out their duties

In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties however, will fall within the scope of the job at the appropriate grade. Person Specification

Experience & Abilities

• Housing/property management experience in a refuge or supported housing setting
• Experience of line management and project management
• Experience of property agreements, drafting and signing them
• Experience of risk assessment, fire safety protocols and managing maintenance schedules
• Experience in procurement of supplies, consultants and contractors
• Experience in site inspections, writing report and action plans
• Able to build and sustain external professional relationships
• Able to priorities workload and work independently using your own initiative  

Knowledge & Qualifications

• An excellent knowledge of UK health and safety, fire safety and housing compliance regulations  
• An excellent understanding of UK policies and legislation around domestic abuse
• Good knowledge of UK adult safeguarding regulations.
• A good understanding of confidentiality and anti-discriminatory practice; safe practice and health and safety procedures
• Line management or supervisory experience
• NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 3/ 4 in Health & Safety, or IOSH Managing Safety
