Based at our Newtown office with outreach work in other areas of the city, you will be adaptable with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage your own workload.

You will be joining a long established and professional Money Advice Team providing specialist advice with a holistic approach that covers all areas of debt and welfare benefit along with training to build and continually improve money management and financial capability.

This is an exciting opportunity to join The King’s Trust on an external secondment, working in partnership with Sheffield City Council to support more young people into roles across the Integrated Care System (ICS), with a focus on the Sheffield region. You’ll work closely with employer partners including Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and Sheffield City Council.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in project coordination, employer engagement, and youth employment support. As this is a new model for the Trust, you'll help shape the project alongside Sheffield City Council, local NHS Trusts, and the ICB.

Based within the Employment & Skills Service of the host organisation, you'll be the main point of contact for employers and young people aged 16–30. You’ll support recruitment and onboarding, deliver one-to-one support for young applicants, and facilitate access to financial and wellbeing services. You’ll also represent employer partners at events and track outcomes for young people supported into work.

Although employed by The King’s Trust, you’ll work under an honorary contract within the host organisation. The role is home-based, with a requirement to be in the Sheffield office 3–4 days a week (including Thursdays at Howden House), and occasional travel to other partner sites.

About the Role

As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records.

About You

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.

The Purpose of the Role

 

Marketing & Mobilization (M&M), a part of External Relations (ER), is a dynamic team, tasked with overseeing and creating communications and marketing, building the IRC’s global profile and brand, increasing private revenue from deeper donor engagement and partnerships, and influencing our target audiences. In alignment with our Strategy100 commitments, M&M has launched ambitious multi-year campaigns that raise funding, profile and influence and will improve our share of voice and resonance in key geographies and globally.

The Content and Creative team, a part of M&M, consists of award-winning creative specialists and idea partners, developing powerful communications and experiences to really engage audiences and ultimately to deliver on ER ambitions and objectives. Using creative mediums such as storytelling, visual design, and video, they tap into the expertise of colleagues across the organization.

The Officer, Private Fundraising Communications is responsible for developing content that inspires private sector funding towards the IRC’s innovative and impactful programs in 40+ countries. This person will collaborate extensively with program teams and External Relations to create communications that engage prospective donors, demonstrate their unique philanthropic impact, and inspire ongoing support through tailored content across Trust & Foundations, Global High Net Worth Individuals, Global New Business, and Corporations.

This person will be a strong grant writer, dynamic storyteller, communicating the story of IRC’s work on behalf of people impacted by crisis for over 90 years through concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, reports, and other fundraising content. The ideal candidate will be familiar with humanitarian program design concepts and complex proposal development processes.

 

     

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Business Development Writing (40%):

● Responsible for producing persuasive and well-structured proposals for 6+ figure grants, positioning IRC as a best-in-class humanitarian and development organization. (They will support a portfolio with a special focus on Trust & Foundations, with projects for Corporate, HNWI, etc. as assigned.)

● Conduct programmatic research, collaborate with various teams (fundraising, program, etc.), and articulate the organization's goals, strategies, and impact to secure funding for humanitarian and development projects.

● Transform technical, programmatic content into sophisticated, compelling, donor-friendly materials. These materials will showcase the impact and sustainability of our programs while communicating our shared values with private sector partners.

Impact Reporting (40%):

● Create comprehensive and compelling reports and other written materials that highlight innovation, evidence, and outcomes the IRC delivers for our clients in some of the world’s toughest places, while building trust and transparency with private sector donors.

● Use data, human-interest stories, and other storytelling to create compelling, effective reports. These reports will fulfill donor-set requirements and communicate what sets our program approaches, evidence generation, advocacy, and expertise apart.

● Present program results clearly, workshopping reports with technical experts across the IRC.

Project Management (20%):

● Serve as a primary focal point for account managers to navigate communications resources and grant writing services.

● Lead the end-to-end process of proposal development across a diverse portfolio of grants - including curating content, workshopping information with program and communications colleagues, and building editorial timelines to finalize written assets across IRC teams.

● Document timelines and follow up with relevant responsible parties to help ensure core proposal/reporting milestones are met

● Coordinate with IRC teams (Program, Finance, Design and UX, Communications, etc.) to shape custom grant communications and set priorities.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join our small and dynamic team and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of both our volunteer and Membership programmes. You will be passionate about working with people, and responsible for nurturing our existing volunteer and Friends communities. You will be highly organised and self-motivated, and have experience in developing and delivering volunteer programmes. Our volunteers play a vital role at the Museum by enhancing the visitor experience and supporting our programme of activities and events. With an exciting new programme of engagement activities planned, we are keen to attract and support more volunteers to help deliver our vision of connecting cultures through art.

Our Friends also play a key role in supporting the Museum and, with the right strategy in place, there is great potential to build on this loyal base, develop a larger and stronger community of Friends and improve income generation from this programme.

We have well-developed systems and an ethos of collaborative team-working. You will work closely with the team to design and implement a comprehensive training programme for new and existing volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver an exceptional visitor experience. You will work particularly closely with the Retail & Front of House Manager on scheduling a rota of front of house volunteers and ensuring volunteers feel supported in their role at all times.

We’re looking for a home-based Programme Manager to lead an exciting new programme supporting householders to progress with domestic energy retrofit across West Yorkshire. You’ll oversee delivery across Calderdale, Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, and Wakefield, so you must be based in West Yorkshire and have strong knowledge of the local area.

This is not an IT or construction project management role. We're seeking someone with experience delivering programmes on behalf of clients, working with partners and suppliers, managing quality assurance, and building strategic partnerships with local authorities and other organisations.

The team

The energy teams’ purpose is to enable households, small businesses, and communities to have affordable energy costs and reduce carbon emissions that contribute to climate change. We provide energy advice services, renewable energy expertise and manage and administer loans and grants for energy saving and low or zero-carbon improvements to homes and businesses on behalf of governments, local authorities, and businesses.

We manage programmes across the UK with more being added as we grow in response to demand. We collaborate and support each other, sharing expertise and best practice and innovate to deliver world-class customer experience. Our work is service-focused and seeing the impact we have on the lives of people we support is what brings us to work each day.

What you’ll do

• Managing a consortium of delivery partners to provide a one-stop shop for householders

• Leading on the quality management of the programme

• Developing strong strategic partnerships with local authorities, suppliers, and finance partners

• Supporting delivery of services including:

o Remote and in-person energy advice

o Home visits and installation coordination

o Ongoing relationship management with stakeholders

About the role

This is a hands-on, practical role for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll be leading the design and delivery of Anti-Racism, Equity and Inclusion (AREI) plans that turn vision into reality — working across directorates to embed change where it matters most.

You’ll work closely with Directors, HR, and a range of stakeholders to build and deliver programmes that support Shelter’s strategic aims. That means helping teams shift from intention to action — shaping and delivering interventions that have a real, measurable impact. From advising on best practice, facilitating workshops and training, to reporting on progress and helping the organisation stay accountable — this is a role with reach and purpose.

Role specifics

An excellent leader and project manager, your career to date will need to include extensive experience of mobilising teams to support the development of measurable initiatives to drive and embed cultural change and inclusion within an organisation. We’ll particularly be looking for a pragmatic and proactive approach, with a history of co-designing and delivering Equity and Inclusion (E&I) initiatives that resonated with an organisation’s core values and were pivotal for driving forward their ambitious goals. A flair for turning concepts into actionable plans is essential too, as are strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation. In short, you’re a strategic thinker with a values centred approach, E&I expertise and proven experience of leading and managing others. You are a confident leader and experienced project manager, with a solid track record of driving cultural and organisational change. You know what it takes to co-design and deliver initiatives that are grounded in an organisation’s values and relevant to its people.

You bring a practical, collaborative approach — and you’re not afraid to challenge, ask the right questions, and get things moving. You’ve led or supported measurable EDI or anti-racism work before, and you understand how to turn strategy into action. You will take a structured yet flexible planning approach, ensuring delivery stays focused while adapting to the realities of a fast-paced environment.

Crucially, you are someone who brings people with you. You can engage and influence at all levels, communicate clearly, and translate complex ideas into achievable plans. You are values-led, focused on impact, and ready to help push this agenda forward in a meaningful way.

This is a varied and exciting new role, ideal for someone who enjoys juggling creative communications, events, and donor engagement. The role is full-time and will be split across different duties:

• 3 days per week dedicated to individual giving and donor communications
• 1 day per week supporting with administration and coordination
• 1 additional day per week (starting in January) supporting the delivery of Positively UK's annual conference in June

You’ll also get the chance to represent the charity at key events such as the Red Run, World AIDS Day, and national HIV conferences—and even participate in international travel where appropriate.

You’ll be working closely with the Fundraising and Communications Lead, learning and leading across digital fundraising, donor stewardship, social media, campaign delivery, and supporter engagement.

Who They’re Looking For

• A great communicator, both written and verbal
• Well-organised with good attention to detail
• Confident using social media and digital tools to engage audiences
• Interested in social impact, health equity, or human rights
• Comfortable working flexibly and collaboratively across a small team

Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential—we’re open to candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion to learn and contribute.
