The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will be an experienced public affairs professional with a passion for nature and understanding of National Parks. 

The successful applicant will join our senior management team, managing the Policy and Public Affairs team and work with the Executive Director  to help develop and drive the NPE policy and public affairs strategy, working closely with stakeholders in our member National Parks and the wider Protected Landscapes family.

This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships. 

You will also work alongside our food Supply Manager to help provide a holistic partnership with our suppliers, encouraging them to support our work across the ESG / CSR spectrum.

Duties and responsibilities  

Business Development and Relationship Management 

• Act as main point of contact for existing corporate partners and stakeholders

• Build strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis

• To provide the highest quality supporter care, working in partnership with the business to engage with its staff, maximising fundraising and retain support for the long term

• Support with engaging FareShare national partners where required

• Capture feedback from businesses to adapt our propositions

New Business

• Work closely with the Development Team to identify new business opportunities (including charity of the year partnerships) and to develop new relationships with stakeholders across Sussex and Surrey

• To research and approach companies to maximise fundraising opportunities,Develop and promote sponsorship opportunities and corporate partnership offerings

• Create engaging proposition presentations to approach new businesses engaging with them and s other such stakeholders regularly, hosting visits and attending meetings where necessary

Reporting and Monitoring

• Provide regular reporting for trustees and the Development Team

• To monitor and evaluate all aspects of the partnership, reporting on income and engagement. 

• Regular indepth bespoke reporting for our funding partner

• Work with the Head of Development on creating forecasts and budgets

• Ensuring records are maintained through our CRM system, Donorfy

• Adhere to data protection regulation and have an understanding of the Fundraising Regulator guidelines

Swindon’s welcome, accessible space in the heart of the town is looking for two Hub Coordinators - to help us grow, build and do more: by and with the community. It's a great chance to get active and make a real difference in this diverse town.

We are looking for a creative, compassionate and enthusiastic leader who can help us not only reach but exceed our goals for this project and be the nurturing force to help Roots to Wellbeing develop and grow. 

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:

• Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.
• Help participants to connect with nature and socialise with others to feel happier, less anxious and less isolated.
• Support participants to access other beneficial services, where appropriate, including health, social and financial.
• Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.
• Facilitate a positive journey through the service for participants to ensure as many people as possible can access the service.

The role 

The roles has four main areas of work:

1. Leadership and management:

• Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals. 
• Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
• Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
• Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.

2. Project management: 

• Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders. 
• Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
• Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
• Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed. 
• Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
• Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact. 

3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green: 

• Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project. 
• Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
• Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed. 

4. Other: 

• Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required. 
• Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.

This is an exciting new role for the BDA, which has been created with the purpose of recruiting, managing and supporting regional volunteers, leading specific outreach to groups impacted and disadvantaged by dyslexia and resulting life circumstances. This is a varied hands-on role that would suit a skilled volunteering professional, who will use their knowledge of volunteering best practice and experience to help us create the future for outreach volunteering at the BDA.

Location

Home-based (UK), with travel to the BDA office in Bracknell (Berkshire) and around the UK as and when necessary. Additionally, travel to team days approximately 1-2 times a year is required.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):

 ·Recruiting, training and supporting regional volunteers and working with a national voluntary panel.

Overview

The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) has embarked on a new exciting five-year strategy – ‘Becoming Seamlessly Inclusive 2023-2028’. Role of the Company Administrator

The Administrator will be responsible for the key administration functions of the Trust; planning, directing, managing, and coordinating all operational functions including the office management, day to day finance records, events support and site maintenance.

1. Overall

1.1 To be part of the inspiring work of the National Paralympic Heritage Trust, supporting the wider team and often being the first line of contact to visitors and partners in person, online and via telephone.

1.2 Manage the provision of office services including the management of day to day finance and payments, staff rotas, stationary orders, supporting events and bookings and ensuring the smooth running of the office.

1.3 Organising the day-to-day maintenance of the Heritage Centre and the displays at the National Spinal Injuries Centre.

Main Duties

1.4 The management of office systems, operating practices, record keeping, policies and budget monitoring systems including supporting returns to funders, monthly invoicing records and payments.

1.5 Administration of training, Heritage Centre bookings, events and meetings, including organising catering when relevant.

1.6 Management of general correspondence, answering phone calls, managing the admin mailbox and processing post.

1.7 Oversight and coordination of environmental action plans.

1.8 Drafting, formatting, and printing of relevant documents for meetings as required.

1.9 Maintaining stock lists and ordering of office supplies as needed.

1.10 Coordinate agendas and take meeting notes for the Board of Trustees and the Finance and Development Committee.

Based: East and West Herts
Working hours: 30 hours per week.
Rate of pay: £24,000 - £25,000 pro rata
Contract length: Permanent

Purpose of Post

This is an exciting time to join our innovative carers service.  We are in a position to grow the current support offered and develop other ways of supporting carers across Hertfordshire.  The Carers Coordinator is an integral role within Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) and to the future development of the service. Using the ethos and values of peer support, the post holder will support carers in an empathetic, safe, respectful and empowering way; using their lived experience to bring hope.

We offer:

• Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
• An additional day of leave each year for your birthday following completion of probation period.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Team, which provides support to people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Working closely with the wider Wiltshire Team your key responsibilities will be: 

• To co-ordinate the delivery of group work programmes. 
• To facilitate and deliver group work programmes. 
• Assess participants’ suitability for programmes. 
• To monitor waiting lists, with a focus on risk management and safeguarding. 
• To support group facilitators to deliver programmes. 
• To lead on the development of new programmes . 
• To review current programmes and continue development as required.

Key responsibilities:  

• Act as the main point of contact regarding group-work provision.
• To ensure groups are monitored with consideration of outcomes, and support the Team Manager to pull data as requested. 
• To deliver group-work programmes both virtually and face-to-face. 
• To promptly assess all group referrals and manage waiting lists. 
• To undertake risk assessments and agree risk management / safety plans where required. 
• To provide support to group facilitators and feedback to their line managers where required. 
• Stay abreast of developments in best practice, legislative and other changes, and integrate them into day-to-day work and the development of strategies and plans. 
• To chair regular facilitator meetings, ensuring that minutes are taken and disseminated and that there is regular attendance by the workers. 
• To identify areas of training need and co-ordinate in-house training for the staff or signpost to appropriate providers.
• To make recommendations to Team Manager about the best use of resources. 
• Coordinate resources and activities to serve the needs of service users to ensure a seamless, co-ordinated response. 
• To analyse data generated and evaluate groups, producing verbal/written reports as required. 
• To support the on going develop of programmes offered.
• To work closely with other teams to ensure the best possible outcome for clients. 
• To prioritise client need by risk, vulnerability and safeguarding. 
• To ensure that accurate and appropriate notes are recorded after each group work session and any other contact with clients.
• To work with due regard to diversity, ensuring groups are inclusive and accessible. 
• Plan group delivery rotas. 
• To work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteers are in place to run groups. This will include feeding back to the Volunteer Coordinator on the volunteers progress to inform line management.
• To provide line management to sessional group workers. 
• To support peoples continuing professional development. 
• Alongside the Team Manager, ensure the service meets regulatory and best practice requirements. 

General 

• Remain up to date and concordant with organisational procedures, policies and professional code of conduct, upholding standards of best practice. 
• Attend and contribute to team meetings. 
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness where required. 
• Undertake agreed training and keep updated on changes in legislation, policy, and best practice 
• To support additional duties at your team managers discretion.
