DHI is a charity that helps disadvantaged and vulnerable people turn lives around, stand on their own feet and reduce dependency. We do this because we believe everyone should have the chance to achieve their potential to make a valuable contribution to society. 

We help vulnerable young people and adults overcome circumstances, structural barriers as well as self-limiting behaviours that are holding them back.  Our clients are often disadvantaged or living at the margins, meaning they are disproportionately affected by substance misuse, homelessness, offending, mental health issues and other factors that contribute to social exclusion.

Few, if any of our clients, come with a single issue.  Rather than treat issues in isolation, we work with the person, not the label, and find the most effective way to help them.  We help people through a highly personalised, solution-focused approach, regardless of the service they enter; services that include housing, drug and alcohol treatment and much more besides. 

The ideal person will bring significant senior level experience and track record of achievements, working within social or supported housing, drugs/alcohol, or a related social care field, including substantial contract and people management experience.  You will be able to combine practical experience of developing simple effective systems, bring strong leadership, performance management and relationship building skills, and be able to operate successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Supporter Engagement Manager to join our dedicated income generation team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the acquisition, retention and development of individual donors through our multi-channel campaigns, ensuring growth in our donor base and engagement with our supporters. You will use data insights to optimise fundraising strategies and enhance the supporter experience.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in direct marketing and individual giving, with strong copywriting, budgeting and project management skills, and proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics. They will have a good working knowledge of GDPR and IoF Codes of Practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, managing and executing the delivery of the Supporter Engagement Programme, including supporter acquisition, retention and uplift through all on- and offline direct marketing channels
• Leading fundraising initiatives such as seasonal appeals, matched funding and legacy giving
• Maintaining all supporter records on the database

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and oversight of the Carers Manchester Volunteer Programme and support the wider development of the Volunteer Programme at Gaddum. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with Carers Manchester colleagues to ensure volunteers feel equipped and supported to use their skills and lived experience in a range of established volunteer roles.

They will also work with the team to develop and recruit volunteers for new roles that support Carers Manchester to deliver on its aims and objectives. The role will involve maintaining close working relationships with our Central Team, Health & Safety systems, and compliance responsibilities. 

All staff are expected to work within all Gaddum policies and procedures. This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Key Worker within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

The Snowdrop Project is the first organisation in the UK to provide long-term, community based support to survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. We aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation to recover from their experiences and thrive. We aim to reduce the risk of re-exploitation, to create and implement models of best practice and to share this knowledge with other agencies and individuals nationally and beyond.

Each year, our casework team engages with over 150 individuals and their dependents to provide trauma-informed advocacy, advice and support towards independence. The Casework Manager leads our team of specialist caseworkers to deliver this programme, carry a small caseload, collaborate with our wider operational team to develop opportunities, influence national policy and improve access to support for survivors in South Yorkshire and beyond.

They will provide leadership and to be responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks agreed by the Board of Trustees.

As Portsmouth Cathedral continues its journey of growth and expansion, we seek a CFO who will not only ensure financial oversight and compliance but also drive strategic initiatives to foster financial sustainability. Following the implementation of the Cathedrals’ Measure 2021, and the registration of Portsmouth Cathedral as a charity in March 2024, the new role of Chief Finance Officer, funded by the Cathedrals Sustainability Fund, will support Chapter, the Cathedral’s governing body, in offering strategic financial leadership. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the CFO will be part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will manage a small team and will oversee the operational processes and functions, and communicate the necessary assurances, information and reports to the Senior Management Team, Chapter and the Board of our to be established trading company periodically. This will involve communicating complex financial ideas and information to a range of stakeholders (mostly non-financial).   

The successful candidate will be CAEW, ACCA or CIMA Qualified or similar and be able to show continued professional and personal development .  They will have:

•  Demonstrable experience in strategic financial leadership, with a track record of leading financial governance, compliance, and team development.   

• Strong knowledge of VAT, tax planning, and advanced accounting practices.
