Role Summary

We are looking for a confident and experienced self-starter to join the Strategy & Communications division as the Government & Parliamentary Relations Manager. Your role is essential to ensure:

• Our relationships generate national and local engagement that helps us to advocate about the issues and practice that can enable high-quality careers support for young people across policy debate and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Department of Education (DfE) (our sponsor department) to help us build strong relationships with relevant DfE ministers, officials and their teams.

• Building and maintaining cross-parliamentary support – to increase our awareness and support amongst key MPs and Peers and to respond well to their inquiries and commissions.
• Internal team operations – acting as CEC’s lead for internal government and parliamentary briefing to support the CEO and senior colleagues’ visits, meetings and engagements.

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience of engaging through the policy process – (1) developing policy ideas and (2) responding to consultations and briefing requests.
• Proven ability to engage senior and working level stakeholders and manage political, ministerial and departmental sensitivities.
• Communicate well (written and verbal) – confidently and with salience and the ability to not just report moments but offer context and direction. Competent and assured in providing sound counsel to senior colleagues.
• Analytical skills – you will be engaging data and evidence generated from CEC’s work and externally, and will be required to interpret findings and make and communicate connections in an understandable and interesting way.
• Collaborative and good at building relationships at all levels, both internally and with a range of external stakeholders.
• Adaptable, resilient and flexible with the ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity and work at pace.

The Opportunity

The Business Development Director will have strategic responsibility for income and growth, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise business opportunities. You will lead the implementation and development of income generation, developing and implementing strategies to drive all income streams to drive growth. Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience/success in a leadership role in Charity Income Generation and sustainable business development

We are currently recruiting for an Treasury & Investments Funding Manager to join our team.

The Treasury and Investments team at the Trust plays a crucial and wide-ranging role. Managing the Trust's investment portfolio of approximately £1.5 billion, the team aligns the portfolio with the Trust's environmental goals without compromising returns. They secure external debt for the Trust, finance most of the Trust's commercial and renewable energy projects, oversee day-to-day cash management, and are now starting to develop, often very innovative, strategies for accessing finance to support action on climate change and nature restoration initiatives.

What it's like to work here

The Treasury team, consisting of eight dedicated members, including two other Treasury and Investments Funding Managers, collaborates across all levels of the Trust, from individual properties to the Board and Trustees. We pride ourselves on our adaptability and teamwork, offering expert advice, innovative financing options, and efficient processes to drive organisational success.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend this office from time to time. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week though. The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

Chalk Farm Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is looking for a competent leader with a passion for social housing to manage our housing organisation.

Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. As estate manager, your main duties will be to:

Job Description
Waterwise is looking for a Head of Commercial Services. This is a new permanent role on our Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO and specifically designed to deliver against the next phase of Waterwise’s journey – increasing our reach and impact on water efficiency both within and beyond the water sector. You’ll be leading and broadening our commercial offer, helping us drive even greater impact in water efficiency, and the income to support it, across the UK. You’ll refine our proposition and pricing of existing services, seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing audiences, as well as broadening our reach, engaging with completely new audiences and developing and shaping new commercial services aligned to new customer needs. You will have strong experience at senior level in driving commercial impact for good, and everything this involves in terms of income, growth, commercial strategy and delivery, and risk management. You’ll be working closely with our Board, and reporting to the CEO and the Board on finance and risk.

Are you passionate about encouraging equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a EDI Manager. Your role will be focused on driving positive change across the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

As our EDI Manager, you will be the subject matter expert, providing invaluable guidance and expertise to ensure our practices are not only compliant but also innovative. You'll collaborate with our People, Culture, and Inclusion Committee, keeping us at the forefront of inclusive practices.

Working closely with MND Association members, staff, and volunteers to understand and assess EDI needs, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for development. You'll support the development and lead the ongoing delivery of our EDI strategy. Your input will shape our culture and ensure everyone feels represented and valued.

You'll monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our EDI projects and initiatives, using data to drive improvements and inform our strategies. A key part of this role will be developing and delivering appropriate EDI management information, briefing papers, and progress reports to enable appropriate governance of the EDI strategy. Your insights will guide our actions, ensuring we're always moving forward.

Partnering with our Learning and Development team, you'll organise engaging EDI learning opportunities for our staff and volunteers including webinars, workshops, and e-learning materials. Equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to be part of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Using effective change management processes and tools, you'll embed EDI initiatives throughout the Association. Collaborating with our communications team, you'll share updates and celebrate our progress both internally and externally.

You'll work alongside our HR and Volunteering teams to embed EDI principles into all our people processes. This includes reviewing, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, and resources that reflect our commitment to EDI across all areas of the Associations work.

Leading our EDI Network, you'll support the ongoing development, activities and events of the Association's Network Groups ensuring that each has clear objectives and can continue to develop an inclusive environment for everyone at the Association.

What are we looking for?

You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of EDI principles, from relevant legislation to emerging trends and best practices.

You'll be skilled in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that promote EDI within an organisation. Experience in managing change within an organisation is essential, as is the ability to gather and interpret EDI data effectively.

Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You'll need to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels across the Association.

Excellent and inclusive verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong organisational and time-management abilities are a must, coupled with proactive problem-solving skills to tackle challenges creatively.
