Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust & NHSE, this work will transform the experiences of female veterans, and address barriers to access in areas including health and wellbeing, transition and employment, care, finance and pensions, housing, terms of service, historic hurt and loneliness. Collaborating across government, statutory, charity, and commercial organisations, the project will innovate within the sector, design sustainable provisions and translate research into action.

Reporting to the Project Lead for the Female Veterans Transformation Programme, you will be responsible for delivering the communication and engagement strategy during the course of the programme. This includes engagement and consultation with key stakeholders including Office of Veteran Affairs, MoD, NHS England, devolved nations health services, Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force (including Associations and charities), Veterans Commissioners, other veteran-facing organisations aligned through the Cobseo Female Veterans Cluster Group and female veterans themselves.

This is an exciting time for our client, and they have an ambitious new organisational strategy. They are looking for an 'Enablement support worker' to play a pivotal role in supporting people with sight loss to remain independent in their homes, by providing high quality assessments and overseeing support delivered by multi-disciplinary teams. 

The Enablement support worker will also support service users to build on their existing skills, and develop valuable life skills through delivery of a range of courses. The required approach is strengths-based, individual to each person they support, and will involve working closely with the friends and family of their service users to achieve the best possible outcomes.
 
Key responsibilities

- Conduct home assessments for the people they support in a 1-to-1 capacity, followed by six monthly or twelve monthly reviews.
- Deliver support within community based settings across the city.
- Deliver Life Skills Education Courses and Technology Skills Courses.
- Support their enablement contract with defined KPIs and outcomes, and provide ongoing monitoring and impact reporting.
- Build and manage relationships with external partners and local authority referrals to meet project outcomes and ensure service standards.
- Refer those who require additional support to external partners and the Low Vision team.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Provide and support a comprehensive training program for Enablement volunteer champions and other supporting volunteers. Assist in supervising and promoting development of volunteers, ensuring they work in line with best practice and organisational policies.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Organisational Funding Manager to act as a point of contact between 10 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, Auriga Services and Utilita Giving. Building positive relationships with all stakeholders to successfully deliver the place-based support element of the Utilita Giving pilot.

As a Organisational Funding Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of investment funds, ensuring their efficient operation and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the relationship and contract between Auriga Services and Utilita Giving.
• Meet key reporting deadlines, collecting data and information to the relevant boards both internally and externally.

Leading the Data Insights and Operations team, this role is key to advancing our fundraising strategy by utilising data analytics to inform decision-making and enhance donor engagement. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK. 

STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding work in the UK.  We now have an exciting opportunity for Employment Advisors to join the STEP team, working remotely from home, providing employment support to refugee clients across the UK. 

​You will prepare clients for competitive employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of clients such as successful completion of training courses, voluntary and work placements and achieving sustaining paid employment. 

​This is a fixed term contract to March 2025.

​About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in successfully supporting refugees into sustainable employment
• Understanding the issues and challenges faced by unemployed people to finding work, including those whose first language is not English
• Experience of providing advice and guidance and supervising a caseload of clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong IT skills (CRM database, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to work remotely with confidence
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with clients with varying levels of English
• ​Competency in speaking another language is desirable e.g. Amharic, Arabic, Dari/Pashto, Dinka Farsi, Kurdish, Ormo, Somali, Tigrinya, Turkish

Our Income Generation Team is seeking to appoint an In-Memory Fundraiser, to support all aspects of the In-Memory income at the hospice. 

In this challenging role, you will be required to co-ordinate all the In-Memory income streams, monitoring and reporting on in-memory income and activity. You will support the Individual Giving Manager, to whom you will report, with appeals, events and marketing activities. You will contribute to supporter experience and engagement, ensuring all databases and records of donations are accurate.

About the role:

This role is based at our Coventry office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am to 4pm, Wednesday 12noon to 8pm & Saturday 9am to 5pm.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Effectively managing a caseload, delivering excellent services via telephone, video call and in person to support service users
• Assessing need and risk at initial contact and on an on-going basis
• Developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans for those affected by crime, who accept ongoing support. Support will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
• Helping service users build healthy coping mechanisms and providing practical support and information
• Identifying and providing action to safeguarding concerns
• Working collaboratively with key partners
• Using a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contributing to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes
• Delivering awareness raising sessions on the impact of crime to partner agencies and community groups and participating in community events.

You will need:

• An understanding of the impact of crime
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• A proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)
• The ability to balance competing needs and priorities

Prospectus is excited to be supporting Kijana Kwanza in their search for a Fundraising Officer, A grassroots project based in Moshi, Tanzania, which empowers children and young people with the skills and opportunities to prepare them for a future without poverty.  The organisation directly sponsors over 200 children and also delivers a variety of day services and social welfare provision for the wider community of children, young people and their families.

Kijana Kwanza UK provides support to the work in Tanzania in particular through fundraising, governance oversight, and some advisory engagement in project delivery. A new post, Director of Partnerships and Income Generation, will lead on income generation at Kijana Kwanza to increase their operating budget and reduce reliance on the founder’s personal contacts and networks who have generously supported the charity since inception.

The successful applicant will be an experienced strategic leader, with demonstrable experience of developing sound fundraising strategies across diverse sources. S/he will have a track record in securing six-figure income from philanthropic sources, including corporations and major donors. Experience in similar types of settings and a demonstrable commitment to the aims and values of Kijana Kwanza are required.

Help us make churches more Single Friendly

Single Friendly Church Network encourages churches to welcome and value single people at every stage of life. We are experiencing an exciting new chapter where our work and influence is growing across a wide range of denominations. We want to reach more churches across the UK who could benefit from our resources and training, with the vision that all single Christians will be able to find a welcoming Single Friendly Church in their local area where they can flourish.

We achieved charitable status in 2023 and have a newly refined purpose and identity set out in a new website and other digital media (see for example our YouTube Channel and the promotional film ‘Inspiring Change’).

We now aim to expand our impact across the UK and deepen our engagement with churches from a wide range of Christian denominations, in accordance with our strategy.
 

Fundraising Consultancy Role

In order to achieve our objectives, we are seeking a Fundraising Consultant to develop and implement a strategy to:

• Diversify our funding base and raise new grants and donations to support our work;
• Raise specific funding to develop a small team of Regional Champions in the regions of the UK, working part-time to grow our network of Single Friendly Churches;
• Secure grant support to refresh our research in order to identify the issues facing single people in the Church and how ‘single friendly’ churches are across the UK.

The Fundraising Consultant will regularly engage with our UK based team and provide quarterly reports to our Trustees. Ideally the Consultant will have the necessary skills to process Gift Aid claims.

The target for funds raised within 12 months is £100K. This will require creativity and a range of initiatives, targeting different potential funding sources.
 

Person Spec:

• Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies for charities;
• Able to provide evidence of significant success in fundraising;
• Record of working collaboratively with teams;
• An understanding of Christian culture and the different Christian traditions;
• Experience of fundraising for Christian-based charities;
• A strong commitment to our beliefs and mission to encourage churches to welcome and value single people at every stage of life.

Contract Terms

Initially this is a 12 month contract

At least 20 hours per month on a freelance basis
Negotiable fees according to experience, in the range £40-£70 per hr
