About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual for a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office with weekly travel expected to the Wiltshire & Swindon region. This position offers a unique blend of working environments supporting a healthy work-life balance, offering the flexibility to work from home on occasion.

As the Operations Manager for Gloucestershire and Wiltshire you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.

You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Wiltshire Constabulary, Gloucestershire County Council, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering both services and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.

As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.

Job Purpose

In the ever-changing environment of youth work, it is vital that within Slough we have both, safe spaces for young people to develop positive and trusting relationships and opportunities for them to develop their talents, skills and aspirations.

Together As One (formerly Aik Saath) has delivered a variety of youth services across Slough for over 25 years and a young carers service for almost 10 years.

“Young carers are children and young people (up to the age of 18 or 25 with SEND) whose life is affected by looking after someone with a disability or long-term illness. The person they care for may be a parent, a sibling, another family member or a friend, but need not necessarily live in the same house as them. The care that young carers give may be practical, physical and/or emotional.”

The terms ‘disability’ and ‘long-term illness’ do not just mean a physical disability or illness, but also cover, for example, mental illness, learning disability, substance misuse, frailty and old age.

Job Role

Working closely with the Chief Executive and the wider Together As One team, you will support the development and delivery of our Young Carers Service in Slough. This will involve the oversight of any emergent funding or contracts and the reporting requirements back to the funders. This post will involve adapting and coordinating a service around the service users’ needs.

You will work in partnership with Slough Children Frist and Slough Borough Council and ensure a coordinated approach to supporting young carers is maintained including the transition from a young carer to an adult carer pathway is developed and formed. Promotion of the service will be a key aspect of this role and you will ensure that the service is promoted across various platforms.

The role will be required to network and maintain relationships with our strategic partners, including the ability to attend key meetings to develop the Slough Young Carers offer. You will become the main point of contact for the triage of referrals and communications.

You will work to identify and support volunteers to become engaged within our services and provision. You will collate a range of data, information and imagery that creates evidence of your work and the impact it is making not only to young people but also to the wider community.

There is scope for you to be creative in this role and make a significant difference to the young people you work with. This is a very exciting and varied role and as such, a flexible approach to work including willingness to take on tasks outside of the normal remit and to work irregular hours, is essential in this role.

About Richmond AID

Richmond AID offers 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays pro rata. Normal office hours are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. As the Finance Manager your role is to help make this a reality through the effective management of our financial processes. You’ll use your experience from other charity finance roles, along with your accountancy / financial management qualifications, to help ensure our approach to financial management is effective, efficient, up-to-date and in line with charity accounting standards.

Educational inequalities are vast, and the widening disadvantage gap is diminishing social mobility progress. Working with partners, including Dell Technologies, KPMG, the NHS and Network Rail we deliver industry-focused, skills workshops to enhance opportunities for young people (aged 9-18+).

Each year we impact 60,000 young people thanks to industry partnerships and their volunteers’ engagement across lightbulb moments in schools, through to intensive connections with employers.

The Programme Manager role 

Due to the expansion of our programmes we are seeking a new team member to support our next year of growth and delivery.

You will be managing and developing skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. With support, from your team and colleagues, you will ensure TTF educational programmes are successfully delivered from conception to evaluation. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions.

• £35,000 salary (pro-rata for part time)

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. You do not need to live in London to apply for this role, but you will need to consider what you feel is a reasonable commuting distance for the team days in London.

Working in our Education Team and reporting to the Chief Education Officer you’ll have the opportunity to manage and deliver our activities in London and the South East of England. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing Education Officer(s) in the region, project managing funded projects both locally and nationally, supporting and growing our volunteer pool and overseeing all delivery in the region, with a focus on educational settings. You will also support the Education Team in creating resources to equip schools with the tools to embed LGBTQ+ inclusion and a celebration of diversity in all its forms into their curriculum.

Home-Start Merton is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support, helping families with children pre-birth and up to 5 years. This role is central and critical in securing the mid to long term future of our organisation. Our trustees at Home-Start Merton are keen to prioritise fund raising amongst the several competing demands on our limited resources because we believe in the impact we have in our community and have ambitious plans for the growth of the organisation.

• Experience of directly securing charitable income from a variety of sources, in particular grant funders and individuals OR demonstrable business development experience and an appetite to learn.

• Proven ability to build relationships across all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating diplomacy, discretion, tact, and persuasiveness.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to work on a wide range of competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
