The Head of Development and Fundraising will drive their mission forward with creativity, energy and passion. The postholder will principally cultivate relationships and secure funding with major donors – both existing and new to the organisation – exciting and delighting those philanthropists to give significant gifts at the five-figure level and above. The successful applicant will:

- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Be ACA/ACCA/CCAB/CIMA fully qualified

- Have up-to-date knowledge of relevant UK charity statutory requirements e.g., SORP, Charity Accounting, IFRS/IAS

- Have significant all-round accounting, financial management, full grants cycle management, compliance, risk and financial sustainability experience, likely gained in an international charity, e.g. working in a multi-currency environment

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead NatureCityNorwich – a three-year multi-partner project supported through Nature Towns and Cities, a programme funded by National Lottery players to help urban areas protect and enhance their natural heritage.

The project will co-create a community-led urban nature recovery action plan, placing nature and people at the heart of Norwich’s future. It will map and address the city’s ‘nature gaps’, improve access to green and blue spaces, and empower communities to shape a more resilient, biodiverse and inclusive city.

You’ll be responsible for co-ordinating, managing, and overseeing all aspects of NatureCityNorwich – from setting up effective governance to ensuring workstreams are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

You’ll work closely with partners including Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council, South Norfolk and Broadland District Council and other key stakeholders to create a lasting legacy for nature in the city.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent communicator with strong project management skills, the ability to build effective working relationships and a passion for nature’s recovery.

You will cover the following areas:

- East Lancashire – Burnley, Blackburn, Darwen, Rossendale, Hyndburn, Pendle and Ribble Valley
- Central Lancashire – Preston, Chorley and Ormskirk

You will be able to manage your own projects and a small team of community volunteers, prioritising as you go. Whilst this is a homeworking role the majority of your time will be working out within the community and you will be required to regularly travel across Lancashire and South Cumbria. You must live within the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

What you’ll focus on:

- Identify, engage, build and nurture relations with key stakeholders and influencers in each local community to ensure that dementia is a local priority.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the issues that prevent communities from engaging in dementia services and supporting the development of services to make them as inclusive as possible
- Develop and deliver community specific workshops and awareness sessions that make a positive impact for people living with dementia in their community.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Assessing learner skills and needs to establish starting points/baseline, with other TAP staff

2. Setting up and supporting learners in work placements to develop their skills and gain meaningful experience

3. Observing and evidencing the learner journey (keeping detailed records), monitoring learner progress (including target progress)

4. Liaising with families and team around the learner as required and to contribute to reviews- ensuring learners are working towards their outcomes and aspirations

5. Supporting employers and learners to work together effectively- suggesting and implementing reasonable adjustments

6. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners during class days, helping to create learning materials as needed.

7. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners with travel training, wellbeing support and signposting to extracurricular/socials and community events

8. Working alongside the Engagement Officer to find, source and maintain employer relationships

9. To support learners during social events, insight days and trips

About the Role

The Operations Manager will provide oversight across administration, compliance, governance, facilities and HR to ensure the Angelou Centre operates effectively and efficiently. You will ensure that the Centre is safe and welcoming for staff and service users, maintains compliant and efficient operational systems, and deliver key projects on time and to high standards.

This is a key leadership role requiring strong organisational, problem-solving, and people-management skills, with the ability to design and embed systems that strengthen our work and improve our workplace.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has significant experience in an operations, administration, or HR role. Ideally within the charity sector.
• Has excellent knowledge of HR best practice within the UK, with experience within learning and development.
• Is excited to join The Angelou Centre during a period of growth, working strategically with the Executive Director to strengthen and improve HR practices.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills to develop and inspire staff teams, embedding a culture of learning, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Has lived experience of, or a deep understanding of, the structural inequalities from the perspective of Black and racialised women.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Lead to play a vital role at the heart of our organisation. This is a senior, hands-on post that combines strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery across all core operational functions - including HR, governance, IT and data, finance administration, and internal systems. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of the charity’s infrastructure, ensuring we are well-run, compliant, and set up to deliver real impact. Working closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the systems and processes that enable our frontline work and support our future growth. The role involves both direct delivery and coordination - particularly through managing relationships with key external service providers in IT, HR, and finance. You’ll ensure these partnerships are effective, responsive, and aligned with the organisation’s needs. There may also be future opportunities to line manage an Operations Assistant or similar role, as the organisation continues to grow and develop its internal capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on problem-solving, values good systems, and wants to help build a resilient and well-run organisation from the inside out.

About You

You’re an experienced operational professional who takes pride in making organisations work smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly. You have a strong track record of leading core operational functions - from HR and governance to finance processes, IT systems, and internal infrastructure - and you’re confident balancing both day-to-day delivery and strategic oversight. You understand what it means to work in a small charity: you're flexible, solutions-focused, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed. But you also bring a mindset for continuous improvement - always looking for ways to strengthen systems, manage risk, and support others to do their best work. You’re confident working with external providers and partners, ensuring that outsourced support (in areas like HR, IT and finance) is well-managed and meets the needs of the organisation. You communicate clearly, build strong relationships across teams and disciplines, and take a thoughtful, values-led approach to your work. Most of all, you're motivated by the chance to contribute behind the scenes to meaningful change — ensuring that the operational foundations are in place for the charity to thrive and deliver real impact.
