The Magic Club (CIO) is a charity in Claremont, Blackpool, working with young people aged 7-16 to support them to thrive; increasing skills, accessing new opportunities, developing relationships and having loads of fun. We currently deliver youth club sessions four evenings each week in term time from our own venue, offering a diverse and high quality range of activities and project work. We also deliver detached youth work, Duke of Edinburgh and Arts Award programmes, AQAs, trips, residentials, holiday programmes, 1-2-1 and small group work, projects and youth volunteering, all served up with really tasty food. Alongside this we work with our parents and carers, wider community and partners to ensure we do whatever we can to support young people to thrive.

Opening in March 2018, we have seen a huge impact for young people in our community. With increased confidence, social skills and aspiration as well as improved relationships and routes to further education and work; we are making a lasting difference.

We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled colleague, with the vision, knowledge and commitment to lead on the delivery of our curriculum, projects, club sessions and activities with, and for, the young people of Claremont.

You will support our team of youth support workers, volunteers and Peer Educators, helping them to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members. You will develop relationships and partnerships within the community to develop further support and opportunities for young people. You will also support the evaluation of our work, ensuring we are continually meeting the needs and interests of young people.

We will accept applications from JNC qualified workers or for individuals who are willing to complete a funded Level 6 qualification whilst working with us (the salary bands reflect payments for unqualified and qualified individuals). In either case we would require a Senior Youth Worker with comprehensive experience of working with young people and has experience of supervising teams of staff and volunteers.

We are a little biased, but we think the best part of the role is working with some of the most brilliant young people in Blackpool. This role will be pivotal in supporting the charity to further develop our offer for our young people, ensuring it is high-quality, meets the needs of our members and makes a big impact. In this exciting role you will be responsible for implementing the charity’s Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising programmes (target of £1.3m in 2024).

You will manage a team of two with the support from the Head of Fundraising, with whom you will work closely with to develop a series of targeted multi-channelled appeals and campaigns to engage with existing supporters and to attract, recruit and retain new ones.

Key responsibilities

About the Finance team

The role will provide support to the Financial Controller in effective stewardship and oversight of all finance functions, with responsibility for ensuring accurate budget holder reporting, project reporting and aid in the production of management accounts.

Working with the Financial Controller and Finance Assistant, this role is essential to the reporting of financial information across the Charity. The Assistant Management Accountant will also support in the delivery of new projects and systems advancements.

About the role

The Assistant Management Accountant is a critical role within the organisation and is being recruited at an exciting time as Kidney Care UK seeks to realise its growth ambitions within its strategy.

The role will provide support to the Financial Controller in effective stewardship and oversight of all finance functions, with responsibility for ensuring accurate budget holder reporting, project reporting and aid in the production of management accounts. This role is essential to the reporting of financial information across the Charity. The Assistant Management Accountant will also support in the delivery of new projects and systems advancements.

In addition the Assistant Management Accountant will help to prepare the Charity’s quarterly VAT returns, ensuring that all transactions have the correct VAT coding. The role will be pivotal in the monthly close down process and ongoing accuracy of the transactions held on the accounting system.

Core tasks and responsibilities

As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. The Role

As Project Lead for United Learning, you have the opportunity to make a difference on a large scale.

In this role you will have two key responsibilities – to ensure the successful delivery of our group wide stakeholder surveys (to pupils, staff and parents) and to support with organisation-wide performance management. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with teams across United Learning’s central office and with schools.

You will ensure the successful delivery of our surveys programme including working with our partner, Edurio, to manage all aspects of technical set up and supporting schools to ensure they are prepared to deliver these surveys locally. You will shape and oversee the delivery of analysis based on survey results to ensure we are using this data to inform priority areas and improvements. You will look for ways to improve the set-up processes as well as how we use the data derived from the surveys.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support.  You will be expected to create an Action Plan, planning and designing appropriate activities, training programmes and interventions, establish and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, while also monitoring participants’ progress and providing timely monthly reports.

We will also rely on you to develop strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies offering support, where appropriate provide holistic wrap-around with general elements of resettlement support and working collaboratively plan for and facilitate effective Through the Gate and warm handover to the relevant Support Worker in Community.

What we are looking for

• Working intensively with individuals and supporting their progression
• Working with offenders, or those disaffected and marginalised from mainstream services, in training, guidance, advice and counselling environments would be advantageous
• High level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions
• Knowledge of the issues affecting the rehabilitation of offenders and desistance theory
• Knowledge of HM Prison environments and/or training, education and employment opportunities locally and nationally, and of training and guidance
• Demonstrable ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs
• The ability to effectively assess evidence and identify assessment criteria using a range of assessment methods
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.

The Strategic Projects unit focuses on new and emerging areas of work which require close collaboration with staff across the organisation, and to use creative thinking, sound project management and administrative skills. Recently completed work ranges from providing interim programme and events management support to THET’s Experts In Our Midst programme, to project management and coordination support to the UK-Africa Health Summit. Main Responsibilities

1. To provide high-quality project management support for new and emerging areas of work, responding flexibility to opportunities and needs as agreed with the Senior Management Team and Strategic Projects Manager.
