About you
As our Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager-Africa, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with Africa-based donors, including corporates, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Working closely with our Partnership and Philanthropy Team, as well as regional and country offices across Africa, you will drive new business opportunities and secure significant six to seven figure gifts. 

As part of the Africa Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the Africa Philanthropy Initiative (API) and our mission to raise funds and develop strategic partnerships that benefit children across the African continent.

In this role, day -to- day, you will:

• Collaborate with country offices to progress existing opportunities and develop proposals for new business, leveraging local philanthropic trends.
• Work alongside the Head of Africa Philanthropy to implement strategic corporate and philanthropy aspirations, driving forward directly funded new funding models.
• Network and attend external events to raise visibility for Save the Children's Africa Philanthropy Initiative.
• Develop and implement strategic donor plans and stewardship events, tailored to engage and steward donors from Africa.
• Manage the Africa Advisory Board, identify potential donors, and ensure effective approaches are made to secure funds.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience in working or living in Africa, with a passion for African philanthropy and its potential for transformative change.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with high-level stakeholders in the charity or private sector.
• Proven track record of securing six to seven figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals or experience in securing new business in a commercial environment.
• Exceptional proposal writing skills and experience in developing high-quality proposals for business and/or philanthropy partners.
• Familiarity with emerging markets, preferably in Africa, and a knack for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

As Senior PR Manager, you will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Save the Children UK amongst key target audiences, by developing and delivering projects that command media attention and coverage. As a member of the PR, Artist & Broadcast team, you will be able to apply your experience working with the media to shape major fundraising and influencing campaigns and build our brand. Some stakeholders you will work with include high profile ambassadors, influencers, and partners. To be successful in this role you will lean on your excellent verbal and written communications skills and have a strong network of contacts to help share the work of Save the Children UK.

In this role, you will:

• Work closely with team members in other departments within Save the Children to provide excellent PR support for delivering Save the Children's objectives
• Develop and execute mass-market PR plans that amplify key strategic campaigns and initiatives across the calendar year, including brand, fundraising and advocacy priorities
• Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation 
• Write, co-ordinate and issue media releases, statements, briefing materials and Q&As, including for high-profile spokespeople and corporate partners, if required 
• Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media
• Represent Save the Children as spokesperson externally, networking and building relationships that support brand building activity in the media.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Significant operational experience in mass-market PR, as a print or broadcast journalist, or equivalent professional media communications experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external contacts across diverse cultures, disciplines and time zones
• Solid experience developing and implementing PR campaigns for corporate clients, including cause-related events, co-branded marketing activity, global campaigns
• Excellent working knowledge of the media landscape – including national broadcast and press, women's, showbiz, tabloid and digital media – with a network of journalistic contacts.
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write and edit engaging copy for a range of audiences, across traditional and new mediums

Director of Impact & Development – The Solicitors’ Charity

We’re looking for a Director of Impact & Development to develop and implement income generation and communication strategies and to develop strategy and practice around impact measurement and client feedback collection. The Solicitor’s Charity is the independent charity that, since 1858, has been supporting solicitors and their dependants in times of need or crisis.

Salary: c£66,000 - c£70,500(rising to c£67,250 - c£71,750 after successful completion of 6-month probationary period). The point on these salary ranges at which you will be paid is currently dependent on your location.

Flexible working arrangements are possible, including homeworking with occasional attendance in person at meetings, largely in central London (6-8 per year). Most staff work from home, though we also have an office in southwest London.

The Director of Impact and Development role

 We have recently agreed our strategy for 2024-2026. Two key objectives for this period are to grow and diversify our funding streams and to increase awareness of the charity.  We are also keen to understand better the impact that our activities have on our clients so that we can ensure that we are doing well the things they need to support them and so that we have stories to tell to help with fundraising and communications. Finally, we are keen to engage members of the profession in spreading the word about our work, including through a volunteer ambassadors’ scheme.

As holder of this senior role you will lead in these areas, developing and implementing effective strategies ad processes. You will work initially with our existing communications agency and with fundraising consultants but by the end of the year will need to have formed a view and put in place plans that either continue with these arrangements or bring more work in house.

Success in the role will be shown by significantly more income coming from sources other than our investments and donations of unclaimed client balances by law firms; by more people knowing about, supporting, and approaching the charity for help; and by us understanding better what works to help our clients and using this knowledge to promote development of the charity.

We’re looking for someone with at least 10 years’ experience in leading change in organisations (as an employee and/or a consultant) and evaluating organisational impact through metrics, feedback and benchmarking. At least 10 years’ experience in leading a marketing, communications and/or a fundraising function with proven experience in leading the development and implementation of marketing, fundraising and communications strategies and implementation plans in a similarly sized and geared organisation. You will also have a track record in developing organisational design, targets, operating models and business modelling in the charities and not-for-profit sector.

Other key demonstrable skills and experience include:

· Strong interpersonal and partnership skills, able to influence and work with a range of stakeholders at all levels, within and outside of the organisation.

· Ability to lead and motivate others and create strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

· Strategic thinker, able to see the big picture, recognise long-lasting, high impact decisions and implement clear operational delivery plans

· Strong analytical skills to be able to provide analysis of financial information (and other data) and oversight.

· Ability to present ideas, concepts, plans, and policies at Board level (and to a range of individuals, including senior external contacts) clearly and persuasively.

· Experience of working in a flatter organisational structure where levels of resource mean being willing and able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.

As a dedicated marketing resource in this small but energetic charity team, the role of marketing assistant is to help elevate Youth Talk’s story and brand awareness amongst its target markets. The primary focus and accountability is to deliver on fundraising goals, driving awareness and new funding leads from its designated target markets.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager this will include responsibility for creating and managing impactful marketing content and campaigns that grow the brand profile and drive fundraising income. This would be working across all channels including social media, search, PR, events and website content. This new position will build on the significant work and achievements of the last couple of years and you will support the strategic development of our fundraising marketing plan. 

This will require working closely with all the Youth Talk team as well as sourcing content from corporate partners, funders and external suppliers and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Build on Youth Talk’s Marketing Plan to ensure a balance of content across all marketing channels - effectively engaging with a range of audiences.  

• Write, edit and proof-read content for Youth Talk’s website, social media, email newsletters, press releases.

• Energetic, ideas-driven, low-cost marketing attitude. Strong focus on lead generation and ROI to be accountable for delivering on fundraising targets.

• Grow Youth Talk’s social media presence to generate new supporter leads and engage with comments to identify new creative stories.

Refettorio Felix is an innovative charity providing a restaurant quality 3 course meal freshly made entirely from surplus food in our beautiful space, for free, to vulnerable and economically insecure adults. It also offers wrap around care and support in areas such as housing, mental health and employment. 

We offer our services Monday to Friday during the day. At night and at the weekends the space is for hire as an event venue for weddings, parties and corporate events. 

The role is made up of three major components:

1. Focus on the delivery of the commercial events, being heavily involved in all aspects from marketing through to handling enquiries,  and then managing the client relationship and their event to conclusion. 

2. To organise fundraising events in the space.

Summary of the role and key purpose 

We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator to play a key role in supporting, delivering and monitoring RABI's communications and marketing activities. Working as part of RABI's growing communications team, the Communications Coordinator will take an active role in both communications and marketing across the organisation, providing support in areas including internal comms, social media, website development, email marketing, brand usage, advertising, media relations, public affairs, reporting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop content for various RABI communication channels including newsletters, intranet and website.
• Assist the Communications Manager in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts.
• Support with the production of RABI News including collating content, proofreading and managing all mailing lists, both digital and postal. 
• Help to create visually appealing and shareable content for RABI’s social media platforms.

Through co-production you’ll ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard by decision makers.

• Support the development and delivery of campaigns activity for Wales and proactively identify opportunities for public-facing campaigns.

• Use our national campaign priorities to deliver related local campaign activity.
