What will you do?

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to learn and grow within the Fundraising sector.

This is an integral part of the development team, providing essential support across various fundraising initiatives and providing excellent supporter stewardship (nurturing our supporters/fundraisers on their journey with us). This is to maximise income and encourage supporters to remain engaged with our charity.

You will represent the charity at various events, meetings and networking opportunities to build opportunities with supporters to help them reach their fundraising potential!

Key responsibilities:

• Responding to supporters’ queries and requests, providing email cover across multiple inboxes.
• Help support content for communications/marketing.
• Help support the team identify fundraising opportunities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Charity Fundraiser to join our dedicated team in Malton, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the goals of our mental health charity. Key Responsibilities:

• Promote awareness of our objectives and our work to relieve suffering and distress

Qualifications:

• Certification, diploma, or similar qualification in fundraising
• Proven experience in fundraising (minimum of three-years), preferably within the mental health charity sector
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including having confidence in public speaking, and paying good attention to detail
• Ability to lead and motivate volunteers
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

About Community Counselling:

The charity was established in 2013.  It provides free therapeutic interventions such as counselling, play and creative art therapy, and EMDR (trauma) treatment to vulnerable people living in North Yorkshire, including children who have been the victim of crime. The clinical team consists of over 30 part-time practitioners, being a mixture of staff, volunteers (including trainees) and sessional workers.  Last year we helped over 800 people with a wide range of mental health issues.

Context of the role.

The successful candidate will be guided by the Communications & Fundraising Officer to communicate the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and demonstrate the impact of Upbeat Communities to our supporters and followers, as well as to new audiences. The role can mostly be done remotely; however, it will be required for the candidate to travel to our base in Derby a minimum of 1 day a week to stay connected to the team, and for team meetings and training as and when they occur.

Content creation

•  Creating written and visual content for social media and our website.
• Finding useful resources, articles, and news to be shared on our website, blog and social media.

•  Day-to-day management of Upbeat’s social media accounts including creating and scheduling content, replying to messages, and interacting with followers.
•  Updating the website with relevant images, statistics, and news.

Supporter stewardship

• Following Upbeat’s donations process, ensure donors are thanked in an appropriate and timely manner, and that all communications are logged on to our database (Donorfy).

As a dedicated marketing resource in this small but energetic charity team, the role of marketing assistant is to help elevate Youth Talk’s story and brand awareness amongst its target markets. The primary focus and accountability is to deliver on fundraising goals, driving awareness and new funding leads from its designated target markets.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager this will include responsibility for creating and managing impactful marketing content and campaigns that grow the brand profile and drive fundraising income. This would be working across all channels including social media, search, PR, events and website content. This new position will build on the significant work and achievements of the last couple of years and you will support the strategic development of our fundraising marketing plan. 

This will require working closely with all the Youth Talk team as well as sourcing content from corporate partners, funders and external suppliers and stakeholders.

• Build on Youth Talk’s Marketing Plan to ensure a balance of content across all marketing channels - effectively engaging with a range of audiences.  

• Write, edit and proof-read content for Youth Talk’s website, social media, email newsletters, press releases.

Battersea is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing & Communications Department.

Battersea’s Marketing & Communications Department is responsible for communicating the breadth of the organisation’s work in an engaging and memorable way. Though our award-winning campaigns, we use our influence to affect change for dogs and cats within and beyond our gates; building Battersea’s reputation on a national and international scale. Our work involves everything from innovative integrated advertising campaigns to rehome our animals, to supporting other departments with their strategic objectives. We also manage Battersea’s online communities, offer brand guidance, deliver innovative digital activity, and manage internal communications, ensuring that staff and volunteers stay informed and engaged. The department’s ultimate goal is to raise awareness of Battersea’s work, so we can be here for more dogs and cats.

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department, overseeing delivery of the content framework, using evaluation and measurement to enable strategic and creative development so Battersea’s content output achieves brand, marketing and organisational objectives.

Overall objectives of this role:
• Oversee strategic delivery against the content framework, supporting the team in effective implementation and measurement
• Lead the team in developing and delivering best in class creative storytelling content that is strategically aligned, maximised, and continually evaluated.
• Work with stakeholders across the organisation to effectively prioritise and shape briefs coming into the team.
• Work collaboratively across the Marketing & Communications department and other departments and support the team in doing the same including via supporting working structures and tools.
