The Event Coordinator (Programmes) will coordinate the planning, delivery and evaluation of event programmes and provide administrative support to volunteer Scientific Programme Committees (SPC), with a particular focus on our flagship biennial World Congress. This is a hands-on role, requiring an organised and diplomatic individual who can manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, adapt to last minute changes and requests, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will have a dynamic approach with the ability to combine business development, relationship management, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight to ensure that RLSS UK’s membership thrives and aligns with our purpose, mission and vision.
RLSS UK members include Lifesavers, Lifeguards, Licence to Operate Members, Lifesaving Academy members, Honorary Members and Staff.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regular communications and support to branches and lifesaving clubs
- Engage with our members to understand their needs and future opportunities to support their roles in their communities and beyond
- Conduct research and horizon scan for new opportunities for our members
- Conduct research to identify and understand potential new members and opportunities to support growth and meet need
- Conduct research to identify and connect with relevant external stakeholders
- Drive new membership onboarding, ensuring a seamless and effective experience
- Ensure clubs achieve and maintain the appropriate accreditation in line with RLSS UK requirements, policies and processes
- Develop an annual plan of community engagement and roadshows with members and non-members to raise awareness of the work of RLSS UK and our members, to recruit new members and share water safety and drowning prevention education and campaigns
- Ensure clear and concise processes are in place to support membership experience, retention and growth
- Work collaboratively with all RLSS UK teams to raise awareness of our awards and qualifications offer. Collaborate to adapt offerings based on member feedback and emerging industry trends
- Develop tailored marketing materials to support our membership offer and recruit new members.
- Represent RLSS UK in meetings with key stakeholders and to share outcomes and impact to further the society’s purpose, mission and vision.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
- At least 10+ years’ experience in a Membership role
- Significant experience of working at a leadership role level ideally in a membership organisation
- Demonstrable experience of positively interacting, engaging and influencing at all levels including with senior management and external stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of membership retention and acquisition
- Demonstrable experience of successfully pitching new approaches to prospective members, ideally in a membership organisation

ISEAL is looking for an experienced events professional to manage a range of in person and virtual events for its global stakeholder base. This is an exciting role for someone with a strong track record in organising events of differing sizes for in-person, online, and hybrid audiences, and who is interested in sustainability.
Events are a vital part of ISEAL’s work to communicate with, influence, and engage our key stakeholder groups, including policy makers, multilateral organisations, donors, companies, NGOs, producers, and, of course, ISEAL’s own members. To support these aims, ISEAL hosts at least one major public forum, conference or symposium each year. In 2026, this will be a Global Sustainability Symposium and will take place in Accra, Ghana in June with around 200-300 participants. Additionally, ISEAL organises Members´ Week, an annual multi-day event for ISEAL Community Members that typically attracts 60-100 participants per day.
With support from the Events Coordinator, the Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of event management for the events described above. The role will also work closely with ISEAL programme teams and senior colleagues to coordinate the development of event agendas, content and sessions.
In addition, ISEAL’s events programme includes a range of smaller workshops and roundtables, both in Europe and in other locations, including China, India, Ghana, Indonesia, and Latin America. ISEAL also runs a busy webinar programme. The Associate Manager will work with senior colleagues to agree the level of support given by the Events Team to each of these smaller events/event series. While the Events Team is not expected to directly organise every event, the Associate Manager will also maintain and develop event planning resources, and guidance to support the organisation to consistently deliver high-quality events.
To succeed in this role, you will have significant existing experience in organising events, ideally including international events for high-profile audiences. Given the range of international events, you will also have a sensitive approach to cultural diversity and, ideally, some additional language skills. This role is responsible for line managing the Events Coordinator.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Event management
- Manage the production and delivery of in person and virtual events, with a particular focus on sustainable event delivery
- Implement project management processes to deliver on events, including developing work-back plans and RACI charts, organising and chairing planning meetings, and leading on internal communications
- Lead supplier selection for in person events, collating requirements, researching venues, completing contracting with venue and major suppliers, and communicating event needs to all suppliers
- Coordinate promotion and outreach for events, working closely with the Communications and Membership teams to promote events across all relevant channels
- Oversee registration for events, setting up and monitoring relevant systems & provide internal updates
- Collaborate with senior and programme staff to develop event agendas and content, organising and chairing content meetings, drawing up session schedules and ensuring logistical requirements are met
- Prepare written event materials and other collateral, including web copy, programmes, invitations and participant communications, feedback surveys, travel reimbursement policies and other documents
- Provide excellent customer service to attendees, speakers, and staff involved with events, acting as an advocate for attendee experience
- Deliver internal briefings for staff in the lead up to events and create staffing plans to ensure smooth delivery on the day
- Carry out risk assessments and lead on contingency planning for events
- Track budgets, liaising with budget holders and coordinating with ISEAL finance team about invoicing and reimbursement
- Manage events follow-up such as feedback survey analysis, preparation of post-event materials and reports, and internal evaluation meetings/surveys
- Monitor and report on the environmental impact of events, including waste and GHG emissions, using these learnings to improve event sustainability wherever possible
Event strategy, guidance, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to developing the annual event schedule, including making recommendations based on the event team’s capacity and referring to ISEAL’s strategic objectives
- Maintain and develop event planning guidance, templates, tools, systems, and other resources
- Support the Events & Engagement Manager to maintain and develop event-related policies, including the Event Code of Conduct and the Event Sustainability Policy
- Organise data and maintain relevant mailing lists, including updating contact and attendance records
- Maintain an updated list of venue choices that have high sustainability credentials in key cities where ISEAL may wish to hold small and large events
Other
- Line manage Events Coordinator, and oversee their development and growth, identifying appropriate learning and development opportunities
- Supervise contributions of other assistants and coordinators to event planning and delivery
- Participate actively in team and organisational planning and activities
- Participate in internal staff management processes such as performance reviews, supervisory meetings
- Be a collaborative and effective team member, liaising with colleagues at all levels across organisation
Essential attributes / skills / knowledge
- Track record of working on large in-person professional events, ideally in an international setting
- Strong interest, and ideally experience, in delivering sustainable or “green” meetings and events
- Strong project management skills, with an ability to comfortably juggle a number of different deliverables and deadlines at any given time
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others (via e-mail, Teams, phone and in person)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to high standards, with attention to detail
- Capable of taking initiative to take action and solve problems within an agreed scope
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, international environment, including regular international time-zone calls
- Experience in line management, able to delegate effectively and develop direct reports
- Ability to work confidently and sensitively with a diverse global community
- Confidence in using IT systems, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom), and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with running webinars and online events.

About the role
As Events Fundraising Manager, you will lead, shape and deliver an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, including virtual challenges, our annual Golf Day, and Headway’s prestigious Annual Awards. You will also steward supporters through major third‑party events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon.

RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have around 2,000 members and Fellows from more than 100 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.
The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive a top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.
The Membership Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we are promoting RSTMH, and its membership offer, to our members and supporters. This person would be the first point of contact for our members and so must be professional, a sound communicator and efficient in their approach.
Part of this role involves creating policies and processes to ensure members feel valued at each stage of their journey with RSTMH, developing new marketing products and materials for recruiting and retaining members where necessary.

The role

The Membership Account Manager leads the development, delivery and growth of FareShare South West’s membership programme across the West of England region. The role:
Events management
- Works with the wider CoSRH team, including members of the College, to develop an annual events programme to meet our educational responsibilities, provide networking and membership growth opportunities and raise the profile of the College

About The Role
Events are a key component in our visitors’ experience at a WWT site and we have big ambitions to develop and deliver an even stronger calendar of innovative events in 2026 and beyond.
Working with the Head of Interpretation and Programming and the Centre Managers, you will lead on the development of new seasonal events, from ideation and concept stage to multi-site implementation, with the objective of driving new and repeat visitation. To join as our Events and Partnerships Manager you’ll bring:
- Proven experience of creating and managing events in a multi-site visitor facing organisation, leading projects from concept stage, through implementation, to ROI analysis and reporting
- Experience of developing and maintaining external relationships with brands, like-minded organisations, funders and/or community groups
- Excellent project management skills, with proven experience of delivering projects, to budget and on time, bringing teams from different parts of the organisation with you
- Excellent financial management skills with evidence of accountability for budget development, management and control
- Evidence of a visionary mindset with the ability to turn vision into reality; demonstrable creativity with a flair for innovative problem solving, thinking outside of the box and developing test & learn experiences and events
- Brilliant written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others when sharing new concepts and ideas, developing strong stakeholder support at all levels

We’re looking for a commercially minded Special Events Manager to lead, grow and innovate across our highprofile events portfolio including our flagship Brain Game. As part of our awardwinning Philanthropy & Partnerships team, you’ll help deliver more than 10 exclusive events each year, raising vital income and creating exceptional supporter experiences.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of event marketing, develop compelling sponsorship and partnership packages, and grow our pipeline of beneficiary event opportunities. You’ll manage committeeled events, negotiate with suppliers, secure giftsinkind, and ensure every event delivers strong ROI. You’ll also work closely with senior volunteers, committees, corporate contacts and internal teams to maximise reach, impact and commercial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and grow our flagship Brain Game event series.
- Manage a portfolio of highprofile, committeeled special events from planning to delivery.
- Drive innovative, insightled marketing across the events portfolio.
- Develop and refine sponsorship and partnership packages to maximise commercial value.
- Grow and pitch for beneficiary event opportunities.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring income and expenditure targets are met.
- Secure sponsorship, giftsinkind and fundraising opportunities to boost ROI.
- Negotiate with venues and suppliers for best price and service.
- Build strong relationships with committees, senior volunteers, suppliers and supporters.
- Produce highquality promotional materials with internal and external design teams.
- Support volunteer recruitment and briefing for events.
- Contribute to new event concepts and fundraising platforms.
What You’ll Need
- Strong commercial mindset with experience maximising income and ROI.
- Proven experience managing highprofile fundraising or special events.
- Demonstrable experience in sponsorship development, brand partnerships and pitching.
- Confident in marketing planning, including social media and digital promotion.
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers, venues and partners.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events.
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience working with senior volunteers, committees or highvalue supporters.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to produce compelling event materials and marketing content.
- Skilled at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
