Jangala is seeking a technically adept and impact-driven person to generate insights from our internet inclusion projects across the UK and internationally. This role will be central in demonstrating the outcomes of Jangala’s programmes, improving our products and support to partners, and contributing to our organisational learning as we aim to deliver socially impactful internet to  4 million people by 2030.

This is a unique opportunity for a candidate equally comfortable designing and conducting qualitative field surveys and focus groups  as they are working with large-scale datasets. You will work directly with rich telemetry from our connectivity devices - complemented by interviews, surveys, and case studies - to understand and communicate the real-world impact of digital inclusion.

Jangala is a technology charity dedicated to providing essential internet access globally, with the goal of  connecting 4 million people to the internet  by 2030. Founded in 2015 as a volunteer initiative providing Wi-Fi to 5,000 people in the Calais Jungle refugee camp, Jangala offers a unique approach through its novel connectivity solutions, and takes great pride in its strong partnerships with international aid actors, grassroots organisations and public bodies. To date, we have directly connected 100,000 individuals across 36 countries.

Details of the role

You will design and deliver Jangala’s monitoring, evaluation and data analysis activities. The role will report to Jangala’s Head of Programmes and be a member of the Jangala’s programmes department which leads on the delivery of Jangala’s donor-funded programmes in the UK and internationally, deploying Jangala’s award-winning technology and developing partnerships with community groups and grassroots organisations, charities, local authorities and the United Nations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing Jangala’s M&E and data analysis systems across UK and international projects, aligning with our 2030 Vision and Theory of Change, as well as donor requirements

• Leading the design and implementation of both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including structured surveys, stakeholder interviews and case studies, ensuring methods are ethical and appropriate for diverse contexts

• Developing pipelines and scripts (primarily in Python) to analyse and interpret device telemetry data - eg. usage patterns, uptime, throughput and context-specific behaviours - across tens of thousands of devices operating in a variety of contexts

• Integrating qualitative findings with telemetry and survey data to develop a holistic understanding of impact, progress against indicators and our Theory of Change

• Collecting and analysing data and feedback from partners, end users and stakeholders eg. interviews, surveys and the development of case studies

• Collaborate with delivery partners and external stakeholders  to carry out M & E activities and report creation

• Ensuring the secure and organised storage of M&E data and supporting system improvements for capture and access

• Supporting fundraising and communications through evidence-based storytelling and impact narratives

The person we're looking for

Core Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field (eg. data analysis, M&E, research, social impact)

• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research design, survey tools, and statistical methods

• Proficiency in Python/Julia data analysis and visualisation; ability to work with large or structured data sources and build reproducible analysis pipelines

• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Kobo Toolbox, Dovetail or SPSS

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences in reports and presentations

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across technical and programme teams, and with partners

• An understanding of data protection principles, and an appreciation of ethical considerations of M & E activities involving underserved communities, including in conflict-affected countries

Desirable Requirements:

• Prior experience in one or more of the following sectors: technology, humanitarian, UK charities or international development sectors

• Working knowledge of additional languages besides English, particularly French, Spanish or Arabic

• Experience with geographic data, real-time telemetry or Internet of Things platforms

• Willingness to travel for short project-related assignments

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

We are seeking a passionate, connected and well-organised leader, to manage and develop our Church Engagement team and mission with UK churches, networks, community groups and volunteers. The role requires someone who is motivated by their Christian faith and has a passion to inspire and influence the UK Church to show love, strengthen faith and bring joy to millions of people across the Middle East and North Africa.

As we look towards our 30th anniversary, we want to inspire a new generation of churches and individuals to engage with global and local mission; to raise awareness and understanding of the Church in the MENA and to increase engagement, giving and prayer.

The Church Engagement team sits within the External Engagement Department, which covers areas including communications, publications and resources, press and media, digital content and marketing, fundraising appeals, church engagement, events and volunteers. Teams work closely together on shared activities to ensure that the strategy is connected and delivers a coherent public message, maximising every potential opportunity to increase income and deepen understanding and engagement. Other office staff include those focused on operations and finance, as well as a small Development Team engaging with major donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people in the Middle East and North Africa.  You will help to manage, maintain and increase income and engagement through the following key responsibilities:

·Work with the team to implement strategies for growing key areas of income and engagement with churches and individuals, maintaining prospect lists, communicating with churches to resource and increase engagement.

·To manage, motivate and support a diverse team in different geographical locations and working patterns.

·To assist with delivering the church partnership and media projects programme, inviting church leaders and churches to join, helping research, prepare and send project proposals, reports and associated resources.

·To analyse current church giving patterns and identify pathways to increase engagement, levels and forms of giving (including individual giving in conjunction with other team members).

·Support with high-level giving church relationships and work with the Engagement Officer to mobilise ambassadors and volunteers within churches to encourage prayer for the MENA and church giving.

·Oversee SAT-7’s presence at events and conferences to maximise opportunities for engagement and increased reach with existing and new supporters.

·To assist with identifying current and future engagement resources to inspire and mobilise supporter churches and wider opportunities with denominations and Christian networks.

·Lead regular one to ones and promote the process of SAT-7 UK’s personal development plans for team members throughout the year e.g. conducting appraisals and mid-year reviews.

FareShare UK runs three regional centres in Merseyside, East Anglia and Southern Central. As our Fundraising & Development Lead (Merseyside), you will grow a local fundraising programme from its infancy, working closely with both the Merseyside site and FareShare UK’s national fundraising team.

This brand new role has been created to sustain, and in time, increase the financial sustainability of our activity in Merseyside. Through your work, you will enable us to test the viability of this regionally-led approach, and put the frameworks in place to scale and replicate the approach as part of a wider business cased rollout.

You’ll initially report into FareShare UK’s Senior Network Fundraising Manager, but will work day-to-day from the Merseyside hub, fully embedded in the local community and local operations - this will involve working closely with the Regional Manager.

This role is advertised as a 24-month fixed-term contract, but there is potential to extend based on results. If extended, the role may move to be managed and embedded locally.

What you’ll be doing

This role is integral to shaping a long-term solution to our fundraising efforts locally. As Fundraising & Development Lead (Merseyside), your focus will be to:

• Build and deliver a fundraising strategy to generate locally fundraised income to bring our activity in Merseyside closer to breakeven in the short-term, as well as having an eye on long-term sustainability and growth.
• Develop a compelling case for support tailored to local funders, businesses and the Merseyside community.
• Build a diverse pipeline and income portfolio, using your knowledge and experience of fundraising within Merseyside to increase funding from across multiple income streams – this could include from trusts, local businesses, events, the local community and major donors.
• Create and manage supporter relationships, providing a positive experience and excellent stewardship, and through doing so, maximising on lifetime value.
• Work collaboratively with FareShare UK’s national fundraising team to ensure efforts complement rather than compete.
• Test and evaluate your work to build the evidence needed to support the scaling and replicating of this approach in other FareShare UK-owned sites.
• Fundraise safely, legally and compliantly in line with regulation and FareShare policies.
• Use existing tools and systems such as Salesforce to keep financial and partnership records up-to-date.
• Undertake training and skills development and adopt a continuous learning approach to your work, particularly in light of these being new roles.

This role is likely to involve meeting with funders, supporters and partners across the region – both on and off-site. The ability to travel when needed would be helpful, but there is flexibility in how this is managed and achieved.

• Experience of using data to make informed decisions and spot new opportunities.
• An ability to manage multiple projects and strands of work simultaneously.
• The skills to influence and manage people, including volunteers - building strong internal relationships to deliver results.
• A collaborative mindset and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.

The Racial Justice Panel (RJP) was established by the Archbishops’ Council in December 2024 following the successful conclusion of the work on the Archbishops' Commission for Racial Justice led by the Lord Boateng PC, CVO. The RJP is to provide independent assurance that the work of racial justice is being carried out effectively by the Church, in accordance with agreed plans and wider best practice.

The RJP Panel, albeit a critical friend, maintains its independence, offering rigorous scrutiny and challenge to the Church in its work on racial justice including examining progress against strategic and delivery plans. It shall produce an annual report to be laid before the General Synod. 

The RJP are looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role. 

They are looking for an independent chair who:

• Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships.
• Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level.
• Knows how to hold organisations to account and possesses the skills to support the development of senior leaders.
• Understands through senior level personal experience, the core aspects of racial justice at a national level and in the field of statutory and/or voluntary sector.
• Is empathetic, strategic, emotional and has analytical skills, and able to act as a ‘critical friend’ in supporting and challenging people and institutions to help improve their racial justice focus, practice and arrangements.
• Has a relevant academic or professional qualification.
• Has an understanding of the structure of the Church of England and an appreciation for the role that faith plays in the context of racial justice.

The successful candidate will be a senior leader, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Wikimedia UK is the national platform for open knowledge, bringing together practical and policy expertise about Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects. Purpose of job

To lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education. Create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work.

Main Duties

1. Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s education programme, in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Evaluation and other colleagues
• Build on our learning from past and existing activities across Wikimedia UK and the wider movement to develop and roll out a new Wikimedia and information literacy programme for the UK’s secondary school sector; adapting this for the four nations as appropriate
• In conjunction with other Programmes staff, support the delivery of information literacy projects within higher education, through existing and new strategic partnerships as well as smaller projects and interventions such as Wikimedia in the Classroom courses
• Develop and deliver a range of information literacy activities
• Seek opportunities for new partnerships within the education sector, and grow existing relationships with potential delivery partners, for example within the cultural sector
• Work with the Development team and other staff to identify and follow up funding opportunities for existing or potential projects
• Support other staff within the Programmes team in their own work with the education sector

2. Sector Advocacy

• Promote the importance of media and information literacy skills to digital citizenship and civic engagement, and demonstrate Wikimedia’s value in developing those skills through running targeted interventions and disseminating our research and outcomes
• Advocate for a strong focus on media and information literacy skills in schools and university curricula, and work with other staff, partners and allies to campaign for public policy initiatives and investment to support these skills across society

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

• Run and evaluate the pilots of our work in schools
• Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
• Handle documentation and record all relevant programme metrics. Update CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities

4. Communication and Dissemination

• Write blog posts, create case studies, and generally contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team
• Engage in public speaking opportunities on behalf of Wikimedia UK in promoting our work, as required
• Engage with other Wikimedia organisations, sharing our education work and peer-learning

Experience

• Experience of working directly with UK secondary schools
• Experience of developing and managing partnership projects
• Experience of project reporting and communicating outcomes
• Experience of organising events or workshops
• Experience of developing and/or delivering training or skills development opportunities
• Ability to create lesson plans and other materials appropriate for schools (desirable)

RHS Garden Bridgewater is the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) fifth garden and has been open to visitors for four years. As the nation’s leading gardening charity, the RHS takes pride in ensuring all of its five gardens showcase excellence in horticulture and inspire generations of people to garden and grow. The garden welcomes around 500,000 visitors per year, and is renowned for being a tranquil green space on the outskirts of Salford.

The garden currently has 250+ regular volunteers and we are looking for a new Volunteer Manager to continue to develop and grow the skills and support of this large team.  The role has overall responsibility for the volunteers at RHS Garden Bridgewater, ensuring their time is well spent and they have a great experience contributing towards the strategic goals of the RHS. This role also supports over 30 Volunteer Supervisors (employees) across multiple teams with their volunteer management.

The role is responsible for the implementation of the RHS Vision for Volunteering at RHS Garden Bridgewater, with a specific focus on increasing the diversity of our volunteers to represent the local community in Salford.

This is an exciting opporutunity for an expert in volunteer management to apply their skills and leadership knowledge, working alongside a motived and creative team and the wider RHS.
