We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and driven people to join our growing fundraising team.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.

We’re looking for people to support our amazing community of fundraisers and donors in the following areas:

- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role can be based at either our Shrewsbury or Telford office.

- Community- Community fundraising is at the heart of our charity, and we are constantly amazed by the commitment and creativity of our supporters across the region. We are looking for another member of our team to support community fundraising and make sure our community have a brilliant experience with us. This role will have a specific focus on building our support in Telford & Wrekin and will be based primarily in our Telford office.

Our Fundraisers need to be able to build successful relationships and will be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people. They will be resourceful and able to identify opportunities, getting people involved in a way that suits them, and adds real value to our cause.

We are looking for the equivalent of two full time people to fill these roles. This could be one person working in each area, but we will consider part time and job shares opportunities for the right candidates.

Our Fundraising Assistant will provide key administrative support to the Fundraising Team. Being based primarily at our Shrewsbury office, this person will be a key point of contact for our supporters in the office, and will assist with managing online fundraising platforms, email and phone communications and ensuring fundraising materials are ready and waiting to go out into the community.

This person will also work closely with our Operations Team, ensuring that they have the information they need to process donations accurately, and that our valued supporters are thanked in a timely manner. They will form part of a rota with Operations colleagues to ensure all Reception desks are staffed as required.

They will be friendly, able to communicate well with people across the community, including those living with cancer or who are bereaved. They will also be collaborative, detail-focussed and willing to work with others to solve problems.

We are looking for someone to work 22.5 hours per week; this can be worked in a flexible pattern as agreed, within office hours and across at least three working days. This role can be worked within school hours across five days if required. This role will be based primarily at our office at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital but will need to work at our other sites within Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales on occasion.

The ISM seeks a Legal Officer to help deliver key services to its members across a wide range of legal issues. The role includes supporting unpaid-fee claims, helping musicians understand third-party contracts, and assisting the wider legal team with ongoing matters.

It is vital that we deliver gold standard legal services, responding to the needs of our professional musician membership. You will be someone who has experience as a legal adviser or have some legal knowledge such as contract, copyright or employment law. The Role

Your Key Responsibilities

Manage School Relationships:

• Support on the recruitment of state schools and partners across the UK to participate in all training programmes including all “Speak Out Challenge” programmes;
• Support schools to engage with our resources;
• Maintain and build school and teacher relationships;
• Liaise with schools before workshop delivery;
• Follow up with schools after workshop delivery;
• Assist in the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the programme;

Liaise With Freelance Delivery Team:

• Liaise with trainers to match availability to workshop dates;
• Coordinate the day-to-day trainer delivery of the training programmes with the rest of the Programmes Team;
• Ensure trainer team has adequate resources and supplies to deliver their training;
• Assist in trainer team administration including invoicing and feedback.

Coordinate Events:

• Support the delivery of regional events such as competitions, launches, promotional and networking events;
• Manage competition entries across programmes- ensuring we have all relevant information and permissions including parental consent;
• Liaise with freelance staff delivering events and external event teams, ensuring they have all the correct resources and information required;
• Help implement quality assessment protocols as agreed with funders.

You will also get the opportunity to develop the role by supporting organisation wide initiatives to extend the reach of our programmes to those who most need it and raise the profile and support of the organisation.

About the role

The Administration and Finance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of GISF’s operations. Key responsibilities

Administration & Operations

• Provide day-to-day operational support to the GISF Secretariat,

Saferworld is recruiting a Country Manager, Afghanistan to lead our Afghanistan programme and shape the strategic direction of our work in line with Saferworld’s 10-year organisational strategy.

The post-holder will provide strong leadership and be responsible for the strategic steer based in our organisational strategy and rooted in partners’ collective visions for their societies. They will lead on partnership relations, resourcing efforts, providing financial oversight, managing staff, and reporting to donors. They will represent Saferworld in interactions with relevant authorities, donors, and other stakeholders in Afghanistan, South Asia, and globally. The post-holder will engage in cross-organisational information-sharing and lesson-learning on policy and strategy issues, and develop written analysis linking experiences and learning in Afghanistan to global trends and platforms.

This programme operates in a complex context. In this environment, effective leadership requires that the post-holder centres partners voices and views in planning for and managing a range of expected and unexpected risks. The post-holder will contribute to organisation-wide strategic planning, processes and discussions to advance thematic and operational priorities, methodological approaches and organisational development. This will specifically require developing new ways of working to ensure impactful change, linking programmes across different contexts and regions.

Main purpose of post

• Provide direct support to people affected by cancer by meeting in person with or providing digital or telephone support to people using the service (patients/clients, carers, relatives, professionals).

• Provide high quality information and support within defined level of competence in relation to cancer.  This will include assessment of service users’ information and support needs (Holistic Needs Assessment/Cancer Care Review), provision of written or verbal information, supportive listening and action planning to facilitate self-management. 

• Manage referrals from clinical teams in a timely manner, liaising with clinical teams, primary care teams and community partners where necessary.

• Provide care coordination around the individual to ensure their experience of support feels seamless and is transparent, including support from partner agencies.

What you do

Delivery of information and support to people living with and beyond cancer and their families

• Provide information and support within level of competence of the post (Macmillan Levels of Intervention Criteria L1,2,3,4; NICE approved four tier model of psychological support Level 1, 2 & 3).

• This will include:

• Assess the needs of individuals attending / contacting the service and identify the required level of intervention.

• Support users sensitively to help them understand clinical information they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant people. 

• Understand that there will be frequent exposure to distressing/ highly distressing situations and deal with difficult and highly emotive situations in a sensitive manner and base decisions on own professional judgement.

• Deal with service users with complex enquiries or support needs, or who need help in accessing or understanding information, referring to appropriate members of the wider clinical team (CNS, oncologist) when appropriate or signpost them to other supportive services.

• Liaise with clinical staff to support patients and carers in distress.

• Demonstrate a high level of skill acquired through relevant training or equivalent experience whilst demonstrating awareness of the limits of own practice and knowledge and when to seek appropriate support/ advice.

• Provide supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of cancer, healthy living, diagnosis, treatment options, side effects and living with cancer, in the most appropriate format (e.g. written, verbal, and others as appropriate to overcome any barriers to communication).

• Provide advice on a range of issues e.g. benefits, travel insurance, and facilitate access to services e.g. specialist benefits advice, complementary therapy.

• Liaise with relevant staff at all levels as appropriate both within the charity and externally to address issues identified, and seek advice with more complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Clinical Lead (HCP), Cancer Information and Support Advisors, Head of Cancer Support Services; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS). 

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships with partner organisations in primary and secondary and the voluntary the sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups. 

• Plan and deliver ‘pop-up’ information clinics, ensuring these pop-up clinics are evaluated.

• Lead the development and delivery of courses and workshops.

• Lead peer support groups and service-user involvement.

Operational Delivery

• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with people who use the service both in person and by telephone and produce reports of activity as required.

• Plan and organise events and displays externally liaising with departments and agencies as required.

• Lead discrete projects or service improvements under direction of the Head of Cancer Support Services

• Work flexibly to deliver the objectives of the cancer support service, including attending events and outreach sessions across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw.

• Ensure service user participation in development of the service, including facilitating forums and meetings.

• Facilitate open and effective communication with multi-professional teams, both internally and externally.

• Maintain systems and processes to promote a healthy, safe and secure working environment and maintain accurate documentation and report any concerns.

• Act as a role model by demonstrating expertise and maintaining credibility, ensuring a positive image of Weston Park Cancer Charity is maintained.

• A qualified practitioner with a recognised counselling qualification at diploma level or above.
• Registered with BACP or working towards accreditation.
• Committed to ethical, reflective and trauma informed practice.
• Confident working with a range of presenting issues, including complexity.
• Empathic, thoughtful and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

As Project Manager for My Nature Play, you will play a pivotal role in delivering one of LtL’s most ambitious and exciting Early Years projects. You will coordinate a national delivery team from our England or Scotland office, manage staff and LtL accredited network, support evaluation, and ensure that the project achieves measurable impact for practitioners, children and families. 

You will need:  

• Experience of managing large-scale, multi-site or multi-partner projects (ideally within education, environment or charity sectors). 

• Experience of managing budgets of £1m+. 

• Strong understanding of project planning, delivery and reporting processes. 

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to manage complex timelines and multiple priorities. 

• Experience of monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and reporting. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences. 

• Strong partnership and relationship-building skills. 

• Experience of working / qualification in yearly years education, Family work or play work. 

• Commitment to the highest level of safeguarding and a clear DBS or PVG check.

• Ability to travel across the UK, including overnight stays, and work occasional evenings. 

• A passion for the importance of Early Years. 

• Commitment to providing an inclusive environment for all.
